INTRODUCTION
The anointing is not merely a blessing; it is God’s empowerment for purpose, victory, and supernatural effectiveness. Wherever it rests, barriers—whether spiritual, physical, or situational—cannot stand. Many believers struggle with repeated hindrances, not because of lack of effort, but due to failure to operate under the power of God’s anointing.
Scripture demonstrates that anointing breaks yokes, silences opposition, and accelerates destiny. From prophets in the Old Testament to the ministry of Jesus and the apostles, the anointing consistently proved to be a divine force that changes the course of lives and nations.
This message will reveal how to activate, maintain, and flow in the anointing that breaks barriers, releasing divine breakthroughs where human efforts have failed. When anointed, believers operate above limitations and step boldly into God’s purposes.
1. THE ANOINTING BREAKS SPIRITUAL STRONGHOLDS
The anointing dismantles every spiritual opposition that would hinder God’s purpose in your life.
a) Unction brings authority over darkness (Luke 4:18)
The Spirit’s anointing empowers you to proclaim freedom and break oppression.
b) Anointing destroys yokes (Isaiah 10:27)
God’s power lifts burdens and removes spiritual hindrances.
c) Authority comes with anointing (Acts 10:38)
Jesus was anointed to heal, deliver, and proclaim the Kingdom; so are you when you operate under the Holy Spirit.
d) Anointing makes intercession effective (Romans 8:26-27)
The Spirit empowers prayer that dismantles demonic schemes.
Biblical Example:
Elisha inherited Elijah’s mantle and used the anointing to divide the Jordan, multiply oil, and defeat the enemy (2 Kings 2:13-15).
2. THE ANOINTING ACCELERATES DESTINY
The anointing positions you to walk in God’s timing and purpose, shortening delays and opening doors that human effort cannot open.
a) Breaks delay and stagnation (Ecclesiastes 11:4)
The Spirit’s power propels you forward even when circumstances seem to resist.
b) Grants insight and wisdom (1 John 2:27)
The anointing reveals strategies and solutions that break barriers to progress.
c) Opens divine connections (Psalm 68:18)
God’s anointing attracts helpers, opportunities, and supernatural alliances.
d) Facilitates obedience and boldness (Joshua 1:6-7)
Anointed believers act decisively, knowing God’s Spirit backs every step.
Biblical Example:
Jesus’ ministry was propelled by the Spirit from the outset; He healed the sick, preached liberty, and turned opposition into submission (Luke 4:18-19).
3. THE ANOINTING BREAKS PHYSICAL AND SITUATIONAL LIMITATIONS
The anointing releases supernatural power over every natural barrier that impedes progress.
a) Heals the sick (Matthew 10:1)
Divine empowerment brings restoration where medicine fails.
b) Provides provision (2 Kings 4:1-7)
The anointing multiplies resources beyond human expectation.
c) Breaks chains of captivity (Acts 12:7-10)
Spiritual power opens locked doors and releases those in bondage.
d) Opens new opportunities (Isaiah 61:1-3)
The anointing positions you to access platforms and paths previously closed.
Biblical Example:
Paul and Silas experienced the power of God when their chains were loosed and prison doors opened, releasing them to continue their ministry (Acts 16:25-26).
4. MAINTAINING AND FLOWING IN THE ANOINTING
The anointing is not permanent by default; it requires daily connection with God.
a) Daily fellowship sustains the unction (John 15:4-5)
Remaining in Christ maintains the flow of divine power.
b) Obedience keeps the anointing active (1 Samuel 15:22)
Disobedience quenches the Spirit and hinders manifestation.
c) Prayer and worship amplify the flow (Acts 4:31)
Corporate and personal devotion open channels for breakthroughs.
d) Humility prevents loss of anointing (James 4:6)
God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble to operate effectively.
Biblical Example:
David maintained his anointing through prayer, worship, and obedience, even in trials, enabling him to defeat Goliath and establish his kingdom (1 Samuel 16-17).
CONCLUSION
The anointing of God is a divine force that breaks barriers, accelerates destiny, and brings supernatural provision, healing, and deliverance. Believers who activate the anointing walk above limitations and accomplish the impossible.
To experience consistent breakthroughs, remain connected to the Holy Spirit, pursue obedience, and cultivate humility. Your life can be a continuous demonstration of God’s power as you flow in His anointing.
