OPENING: - As we start 2026 and I bring this lesson on today the Breaking News Yesterday Morning January 3, 2026 was U.S. captured the President and 1st Lady of Venezuela and Trump was on Fox News talking about we didn’t lose anybody, a couple people were hit, but nobody died and all I could think about was when Yeshua (Jesus) said “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, see that you are not alarmed: for these things must take place, but the end is not yet” Matthew 24:6-7, Marl 13:7, Luke 21:9. He was letting us know its not time to panic for these things must come to pass, but we must understand that along with famines, earthquakes, and other signs that are to follow that these are the beginning of birth pains Matthew 24:8 we must remain faithful, deepen our understanding, strengthen our stance, urge others to come in before it is to late, not to be led astray with every wind and doctrine that is running rampant, and lean not to our own understanding but make sure that we our built on the solid foundation, the solid ROCK Yeshua HaMashiach – (Jesus Christ). Acts 4:10-12 says, “Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved”.

We are living in the last days and people need to wake up, understand truth, and make sure you are not deceived.

PRAYER

Yeshua HaMashiach

As I stated on last week the name Yeshua was translated from Hebrew to Greek to Latin and into what we know today in English as Jesus and is the most common pronunciation today. Although translated the meaning is still the same SALVATION. Now there are some that will hold that John 5:43 “I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive” believing that Yah must be in His name in order for Him to come in His father’s name instead of understanding that He is coming and operating in the Power and the Authority of His father’s name indicating that His actions are not merely personal but are in accordance with God’s Divine Purpose and Will. Therefore they want to insist on His name being Yahusha or Yehoshua which are common forms of Joshua meaning Yahweh is salvation. Understand, both names still point to the same person Yeshua and His purpose SALVATION. Yeshua is the more accepted as to what He was called while Yahusha is a more modern pronunciation.

Yahweh is the name of God in Hebrew, often associated with the tetragrammaton YHWH, whichsignifies God's eternal nature it emphasizes God’s sovereignty and eternal existence. Yeshua, is the Hebrew name for Jesus, meaning"salvation". Yeshua is he incarnation of Yahweh, the fulness of the Godhead. Both names reflect different aspects of the Divine:- Yahweh the Eternal God while Yeshua encompasses the Redemptive aspect of God through Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ).

Yeshua HaMashiach is Hebrew for Jesus the Messiah a title meaning Jesus the Anointed One.

Let’s look at Yeshua HaMashiach, we now understand Yeshua means salvation, the Lord Saves, delivers. HaMashiach translates to “The Messiah – to Anoint” a Divinely Appointed King or Deliverer. This name and title identify Yeshua as the Prophesied Savior from scripture, fulfilling the role of the promised Anointed One who brings Salvation and Redemption to mankind.

WATCH THIS: - Christ is NOT Jesus’ last name it is the Greek translation of HaMashiach The Messiah to Anoint. The Anointed One points to a chosen leader, a Priest, Prophet, King, and Spiritual Liberator.

Yeshua HaMashiach identifies Him as the promised deliverer from the Old Testament prophecies who would bring spiritual liberation fulfillment in the New Testament. Yeshua HaMashiach declares without wavering that He is the long awaited, divinely appointed Messiah, the Anointed Savior, the Deliverer.

Yeshua HaMashiach Anointed to Serve

In His first coming, Yeshua HaMashiach came as the Suffering Servant in Isaiah53 He came to fulfill our irreparable need of reconciliation to God. He proved Himself a humble servant offering us undeserved love and Amazing Grace. Isaiah 53:4 says, “Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our pains”. Vs 12 “because He poured out His soul to death and was counted with transgressors”. Mark 10:45 says, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many”. John13 tells how He washed the feet of His disciples “…He began to wash the disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel wrapped around Him…”. Yeshua redefined leadership and taught that greatness in His kingdom is found in being a servant not a ruler.

Yeshua HaMashiach Anointed to Suffer and Die

Yeshua HaMashiach was appointed by God to suffer and die on our behalf. The Bible is clear that it was man’s sin that placed Jesus on the executioner’s stake. Isaiah 53:-10 “Because of oppression and judgment, He was taken away. As for His generation, who considered? For He was cut off from the land of the living, for the transgression of my people ? the stroke was theirs. Yet it pleased Adonai to bruise Him. He caused Him to suffer”.

Isaiah 52:14 “As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men”. Isaiah 53:5 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed”.

Matthew 16:21 “From that time on, Yeshua began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and ruling kohanim and Torah scholars, and be killed, and be raised on the third day”.

Mark 15:37?39 “But letting out a loud cry, Yeshua breathed His last. Then the curtain of the Temple was split in two, from top to bottom. When the centurion, who was standing in front of Him, saw the way Yeshua breathed His last, he said ‘This Man was really the Son of God”.

Luke 24:26 “Was it not necessary for Messiah to suffer these things and to enter into His glory?”.

Yeshua’s suffering and death paved the way for forgiveness and reconciliation with a Holy God for lost humanity.

Yeshua paid a price He did not owe while we owed a price we could not pay.

Yeshua HaMashiach Anointed to Save

Yeshua HaMashiach took upon Himself the penalty that we deserve for our sin (Isaiah 53:8). In doing so, He provided for and offered us complete atonement.

Isaiah 53:11 “ He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities”.

Isaiah 53:6 “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all”.

Matthew 1:21 “She will give birth to a son; and you shall call His name Yeshua, for He will save His people from their sins”.

John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever ve in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him”.

Acts 2:21 “And it shall be that everyone who calls on the name of Adonai shall be saved”.

Anointed to Rise

Scriptures prophesied that, while God’s Anointed One would suffer and die, He would also rise from the dead. Yeshua HaMashiach did just that.

Psalm 16:10 “For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol, nor let Your faithful one see the Pit”.

Isaiah 53:8-10 “ He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand”.

Matthew 28:6 “He is not here. He is risen, just as He said! Come see the place where He was lying”.

1 Corinthians 15:3?6 “For I also passed on to you first of all what I also received ? that Messiah died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Kefa [Cephas, or Peter], then to the Twelve. Then He appeared to over five hundred brothers and sisters at one time”.

The anointing by Mary foreshadowed His death but it was God’s anointing with the Spirit that empowered His resurrection and validated His claims and promises of Eternal Life. His resurrection proved His Divinity and Victory over death offering hope for all who will believe on Him Yeshua HaMashiach.

Yeshua HaMashiach Anointed to Return

At His Second Coming, Yeshua HaMashiach will return as the conquering King foretold in the Hebrew Scriptures. At this time, the Jewish people will recognize Him as their Messiah. Zechariah 14:4 “In that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives which lies to the east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a huge valley”. Zechariah 12:10 “Then I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication, when they will look toward Me whom they pierced. They will mourn for him as one mourns for an only son and grieve bitterly for him, as one grieves for a firstborn”.

Mark 13:26 “And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory”.

Revelation 1:7 “Look, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye shall see Him, even those who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth shall mourn because of Him. Yes, amen!”.

After Yeshua’s ascension, angels told His disciples in Acts 1:11 “Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven”. Yeshua is coming back again that is a promise and His return is the culmination of the work He began under the anointing fulfilling His purpose and ultimately Reigning on Earth.

Yeshua HaMashiach Anointed to Reign

After Yeshua HaMashiach returns, God will usher in the long-awaited Messianic age in which Yeshua HaMashiach will reign eternally. Genesis 49:10 “The scepter shall not pass from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet until he to whom it belongs will come”.

2 Samuel 7:12–13 “When your days are done and you sleep with your fathers, I will raise up your seed, who will come forth from you after you, and I will establish his kingdom. He will build a house for My Name, and I will establish his royal throne forever”.

Luke 1:33 “He shall reign over the house of Jacob for all eternity, and His kingdom will be without end”.

Revelation 11:15 “Then the seventh angel trumpeted, and there were loud voices in heaven saying, ‘The kingdom of this world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Anointed One. And He shall reign forever and ever!”.

Yeshua HaMashiach eastablishes Him as the eternal King whose reign was prophesied and proclaimed.

CLOSING: - The name Yeshua opens such a rich understanding of our Lord Jesus Christ. From its very roots meaning salvation (yasha, yeshuah) it tells a story of God’s amazing plan to save, deliver, rescue mankind. The way the name traveled from Yeshua to Iesous to Jesus shows God’s incredible heart for all people, making sure His message of hope could reach every corner of the earth.

Sometimes, a strong desire for what feels “purer” like wanting the Son’s name to sound like the Father’s, or reclaiming our stolen heritage and culture can overshadow what history and language show us. This can make normal things, like names changing slightly as they move between languages, seem suspicious when they aren’t, but were in fact all in God’s divine plan.

The New Testament itself puts the focus on the Person of Jesus Christ and Faith in Him brings salvation, not getting a specific pronunciation exactly right or rather you call Him by the Hebrew pronunciation or the English. While learning about the Hebrew background is wonderful, our saving faith is in Him, however His name is faithfully spoken in our own language. Don’t let debates steal the joy and power found in YESHUA/Jesus the person.

Learning about the name Yeshua isn’t just a history lesson, it isn’t to try to prove you know more than someone else or have a different revelation, it can truly enrich your walk with God, deepen your understanding, and bring a closer connection in your relationship. It should bring wonderful spiritual blessings in your life and your walk with Him.

Knowing the name Yeshua connects you with His real, human life as a first-century Jew. It causes us to understand that He stepped into our world, into a specific point in time fulfilling perfectly the ancient prophecies and promises connecting sinful mankind back to a Holy God.

Rather Yeshua or Jesus it is absolutely right and good. It’s the name that has come down to us through history, through the Greek New Testament and the Latin tradition. Never feel ashamed or worried about using the precious name Yeshua or Jesus in your prayers, your worship, or when you share your faith. If you find that using Yeshua helps you feel closer to the Lord, connects you more deeply to your Hebrew heritage and culture, or helps you share your faith with others than GLORY HALELUJAH. All that truly matters is the faith deep down in your heart is directed toward the One Person these names represent.
