Summary: Leaving the Old, for the new!!!

Leaving 2025. Entering 2026. We are advancing by divine clearance.

Brothers and Sisters, this is not just another sermon, it’s a departure announcement.

We are not just stumbling into a New Year; we are cleared for takeoff.

Look at your neighbor and say,

Fasten your seatbelt, because this season is shifting.

I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to fly.

Deuteronomy 1:6–8 (KJV)

The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:

Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates.

In this text this word was spoken to Israel after forty years of wilderness wandering.

Understand that Horeb (Mount Sinai) was not a place of bondage, but instead it was a place of revelation.

This is the place where they received:

• The Law

• They heard God’s voice

• And received God’s direction and revelation.

But may I tell you that revelation without movement becomes stagnation.

God did not rebuke them for being sinful.

He told them, look you have stayed here long enough.

That’s powerful. They weren’t stuck because of rebellion.

They were stuck because of hesitation. Tell your neighbor, I’m not leaving 2025 because it was all bad, I’m leaving because it’s time.

Here is the message Alignment with 2025 and 2026

2025 was your Horeb year.

• You learned

• You healed

• You survived

• And You recalibrated

But now is God saying that you have stayed long enough at this mountain.

May I tell you that Flight 2026 is not about comfort. It’s about possession.

Tell your neighbor:

I’m not circling anymore.

I’m not going to be the same anymore.

I’m not going to put up with the foolishness anymore, I have been cleared for takeoff.

So, let’s look at this through the lens of a Flight prospective.

You Have Stayed Long Enough. First we have the Gate Announcement

Before a plane moves, there is always an announcement: they always start off by announcing that the:

This flight is now boarding.

God is announcing to you:

• You crying has been long enough

• Your explaining has been long enough.

• You have been waiting on some apologies long enough, that may never come.

• We have been replaying the same old scenarios, thinking about the past, holding on to some thought, waiting on him to return, crying over her to love you long enough. In other words you have been here long enough, 2025 can’t hold you any longer, baby you are cleared for take off.

If you have ever flown before, normally once we are boarded and seated there is always an announcement from stewardess and the captain and on the flight.

Normally you receive the do’s and the don’ts, and all of the safety tips in case of an emergency.

Well this flight is no different, and the spiritual stewardess announcement are something like this.

Welcome aboard flight 2026 we are prepared to takeoff. Please make sure you in a upright position with a positive attitude, and that your gratitude are securely locked in the upright position.

Please turn off all self-destructive devices. Turn off pity, turn off pride, turn off selfishness, and whatever you do please turn off self righteousness.

All negativity, hurt, and discouragement should be stored away at this time, never to be pulled out again.

Should we lose cabin pressure in year 2026, pull down some prayer, the captain says there might be a little turbulence, but don’t worry because he has landed many of thousands.

So, as we are taxiing to the runway, I noticed that the plane had to make some turns.

They had to turn before they could travel.

Here what I learned about what turning requires: Turning requires,

• New thinking

• New posture

• New obedience

• And a new way of thinking

In other words we cannot enter 2026 with 2025 controls.

We can’t handle 2026 newness with 2025 problems somebody ought to say: I’m turning my faith forward.

I’ve got a new attitude.

Tell your neighbor I’m not looking back, I’m looking forward.

I’m pressing towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

I can hear the Lord saying: See, (that means that you have to look). He says See (somebody say see) See, I Have Set the Land Before You. In other words the Runway Is Ready.

God says I’ve already set it before you.

The land was ready before they arrived.

The runway was built before the plane moved.

I know that it’s been a long time, but you’re not late.

I know that it seems like you have been waiting forever, but you are not behind.

Tell your neighbor that the runway is ready.

Now is the time to go In and take possession.

So as I prepare to close. We must know that in order to takeoff, takeoff requires some thrust.

Possession is not passive.

You don’t wish your way into promise.

You don’t only pray your way, but possession requires some movement.

And may I tell you that Faith is the engine.

Obedience is the thrust.

Courage is the acceleration.

I think I need to ask a question here. What time is it? I will answer it, It’s Takeoff time.

And here’s what I’ve learned from being on so many flight.

A plane makes the most noise right before liftoff. Because it’s preparing for takeoff.

With all the trouble that you have been through last year, the devil didn’t know that he was just rebbeding up your engines.

With all of the ups and downs that you have experienced, the devil didn’t even know that he was giving you thrusting power.

The resistance you felt in 2025 was not a sign of failure,

It was evidence of imminent elevation.

Some of you thought the shaking meant you were crashing. But God says, no, that was acceleration.

Tell your neighbor that this shaking is taking me higher.

What You Cannot Carry Onto Flight 2026

I know at every airport there is a group of people name TSA agents, which stand for stands for (Transportation Security Administration). Who keeps you from taking certain items aboard.

We also have a group of TSA agents on this flight. The TSA stands for (The Saints Aboard) and they told me to tell you that there are things you cannot take onboard:

You can’t take-

• Old guilt

• Old fears

• Old bitterness

• Old labels

• And an Old versions of yourself

Tell your neighbor that: I’m traveling light this trip.

And that reminds me of a story about An old commercial pilot who once explained that before every takeoff, there is a moment where the plane stops at the end of the runway.

Everything is ready.

Passengers are seated.

Fuel is full.

Flight plan is filed.

He explains that the pause before takeoff is not a hesitation, but it’s an alignment.

Then suddenly, the engines roar, and the ground releases its grip.

God told me to tell somebody:

That pause you felt at the end of 2025?

It wasn’t delay.

It was alignment.

And now we ought to lift your hands and declare:

Flight 2026 is clear for takeoff.

I am leaving what was,

I am moving into what God set before me.

And I will possess what He promised.

The runway is ready.

The engines are engaged.

And I am ascending now.

Somebody ought to give God a takeoff praise.

Tell 2025. Bye bye yalllll
