Summary: God is the one that can lift a man from the ground level to greater heights in all areas of life.

THE LIFTER UP OF MY HEAD

Study Text: Psalm 3:1–3

Introduction:

- To lift the head is to restore dignity, honour, confidence, visibility, and authority.

- A bowed head speaks of shame, rejection, disgrace, limitation, and defeat.

- David cried in Psalm 3:3: “But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of my head.”

- Today, God is announcing: “Every power forcing your head down is losing its grip!”

1. The Matter of a Bowed Head. Psalm 3:1–2

- David was a king, yet his head was bowed: betrayed by his son, hunted by enemies, disgraced publicly.

What Bows a Man’s Head?

1. Shame and Reproach – Psalm 69:7

2. Failure and Repeated Losses – Proverbs 24:16

3. Evil Pronouncements and Curses – Numbers 22–23

4. Hidden Battles and Silent Tears

- You can be anointed and still be oppressed, until God lifts your head.

2. The Mastermind of a Bowed Head. Psalm 75:6–7

1. Satanic Accusations

- Revelation 12:10 – The accuser of the brethren.

- Accusation bows the head; justification lifts it.

2. Spirit of Rejection

- Many carry rejection wounds that keep their heads down even when doors are open.

3. Ancestral Patterns of Low Esteem

- Some families are anointed but unnoticed, gifted but hidden, capable but ignored.

- When the foundation is attacked, the head suffers.

3. The Mover of a Bowed Head. Psalm 3:3

- David did not say:

My connections lifted my head

My position lifted my head

- He said: “Thou, O LORD…”

Why God Alone Lifts the Head

1. Men lift temporarily; God lifts permanently

2. Men lift conditionally; God lifts covenantally

3. Men lift publicly; God lifts spiritually and physically

- When God lifts your head, no man can push it down.

How does God lifts the head? Psalm 27:5–6

1. By Divine Shielding

- “Thou art a shield for me…” God blocks the arrows of shame and disgrace.

2. By Restoring Glory

- Glory is not noise; glory is weight. God restores weight to your name, voice, and presence.

3. By Divine Announcement

- Genesis 40:13 – “Pharaoh shall lift up thy head.”

- One divine announcement can end years of obscurity.

- Your announcement season has arrived!

What are the evidence that God has lifted your head?

1. Confidence is restored

2. Your voice is heard again

3. Your praise returns

4. Your enemies notice the change

- Lifted heads sing; bowed heads sigh.

- Lift your hands and declare with authority:

1. O Lord, lift my head above shame and reproach!

2. Every power pressing my destiny down—BREAK NOW!

3. I reject rejection; I receive divine acceptance!

4. My head is lifted in my family, career, ministry, and nation!

5. I step out of obscurity into divine visibility!

6. What disgraced me before shall announce me for glory!

- By the power in the name of Jesus, every yoke of shame, rejection, delay, and limitation— BE BROKEN!

- I speak lifting where there was lowering, honour where there was dishonor, glory where there was shame. Lift them now, O Lord!”

Conclusion:

- This is your moment. Your head is lifted. Your face shines. Your season of shame is over.
