INTRODUCTION
Finishing well is not a product of human effort alone; it is the result of divine empowerment. Many people begin life, destiny, ministry, or spiritual assignments with strength and enthusiasm, yet along the way they faint, grow weary, or abandon the path. The pressures of life, attacks of the enemy, and personal limitations press heavily on a person’s ability to continue. But the God who calls us also anoints us with strength to finish.
Throughout Scripture, God consistently demonstrates that He is interested not only in how we begin but in how we end. He supplies grace, strength, and supernatural empowerment to help His children complete what He has ordained for them. Finishing well is therefore a combination of divine backing and human faithfulness, a testimony that God’s anointing is at work in your life.
This message reveals the anointing required to complete your God-given race. It shows that no matter where you are now, the God who strengthened Paul, Elijah, David, and Jesus Himself will empower you to finish well, finish strong, and finish gloriously.
1. THE ANOINTING TO FINISH WELL BRINGS SUPERNATURAL STRENGTH
Before a man can finish well, he must be strengthened beyond human ability. God releases divine energy that refreshes, stabilises, and empowers His children to keep running.
a) Strength for the Journey (Isaiah 40:29-31)
The anointing renews the weary and lifts the fainthearted, empowering them to keep moving even when the natural strength is exhausted.
b) Strength Against Obstacles (Psalm 18:29)
Every obstacle on the path of destiny requires divine empowerment to overcome, and the anointing gives the ability to leap over walls.

a) Breaking Invisible Chains (Isaiah 10:27)
The yoke-breaking anointing destroys satanic limitations that make people stagnate at the edge of breakthrough.
b) Destroying Patterns of Delay (Daniel 10:12-13)
The anointing overturns demonic resistance that delays answers, progress, or success.

The anointing helps you avoid wrong decisions that sabotage destiny.
d) Staying in Divine Alignment (Romans 8:14)
Those who finish well follow the continual leading of the Spirit, not the opinions of men.

Paul finished his course because he knew exactly what God called him to do (Acts 20:24).
4. THE ANOINTING TO FINISH WELL EMPOWERS YOU TO OVERCOME SPIRITUAL WARFARE
Finishing well requires victory over battles designed to stop your progress at critical points.
a) Victory Over Destiny Attacks (Psalm 91:5-7)
The enemy launches fierce attacks near breakthrough; the anointing shields you from arrows meant to end your journey prematurely.
b) Breaking Satanic Manipulation (2 Corinthians 2:11)
The anointing exposes and destroys every plot designed to derail your progress.
c) Triumph Over Weariness of Soul (Galatians 6:9)
The anointing removes the heaviness and fatigue that weaken your resolve to finish strong.
d) Dominion Over Death and Disaster (Psalm 118:17)
You finish well because the anointing keeps you alive, protected, and preserved to see the end of your assignment.

David finished well because God delivered him from every battle until his assignment was fulfilled (2 Samuel 7:1).
CONCLUSION
Finishing well is the desire of every believer, but it is impossible without the anointing of God. The anointing strengthens, directs, protects, and empowers you to complete your divine assignment with excellence and honour. God does not only call you—He equips you with everything required to finish your course with joy and fulfilment.
