I. The Source of Mercy: It's Fixed in God's Unchanging Heart.
God's mercy is not a temporary feeling, but a Permanent Attribute of His character. It is the very reason we are not consumed.
Lamentations 3:22-23
“The LORD’s acts of mercy indeed do not end, for His compassions do not fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”
NOTE: Because God is merciful, there is always a provision for the failing, struggling believer. We can trust His consistency.
2. The Scope of Mercy: It Covers Your Greatest Offense (The Cross)
The ultimate demonstration of God's mercy is in the forgiveness of sin through Jesus Christ. The "Mercy Again" we need most is Salvation.
Ephesians 2:4-5
“But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our wrongdoings, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved).”
NOTE: Our spiritual debt was too great, but God's mercy intervened at the Cross. This mercy covers the vast scope of our guilt.
3. The Supply of Mercy: It's Accessible in Times of Need (The Throne)
Mercy is not just a past event (salvation); it is a Present Reality for daily life, providing help and strength in our weakness.
Hebrews 4:16
“Therefore let us approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and discover grace to help in time of need.”
When facing trials, temptation, or exhaustion, we approach a throne of grace to receive fresh, timely supply of mercy "Mercy Again" for today's battle.
In Conclusion
Brothers and sisters, the message is clear: the LORD's compassions do not fail. The current of His mercy is flowing it flowed at the cross for your salvation, and it flows this very moment for your struggle.
You do not have to carry the weight of that one, specific sin the failure you repeated, the regret you can't shake, the debt you feel you can never repay. God is offering "Mercy Again."
The opportunity to repent is simply the choice to step into that flowing river of compassion. The moment you turn from your sin and turn toward God, you find His grace waiting. Don't let shame keep you away. Run to the throne!
If you have never accepted the ultimate mercy of salvation through Jesus Christ, or if you are a struggling believer who needs to confess and receive the daily grace: Repent now. Receive His mercy, which is new for you, this morning, this afternoon, this very second.
