INTRODUCTION:
When God remembers a person, it is not because He forgot them; rather, it is the moment when He decides to manifest what He had ordained long before. Divine remembrance is a visitation from God that turns long-standing prayers into living testimonies. It is the shift of seasons that brings an end to stagnation, reproach, delay, and silence.
The stories of Zechariah and Elizabeth, Hannah, Sarah, and Rachel all illustrate that God’s remembrance comes with undeniable proofs: proofs that transform sorrow into joy, silence into celebration, and impossibility into glorious fulfilment. Divine remembrance is always intentional, timely, and redemptive.
This sermon reveals the clear indicators that a person has entered the season of divine remembrance. When these signs begin to unfold, nothing can stop your elevation, promotion, or manifestation.
1. OPEN HEAVENS AND DIVINE VISITATION
When God remembers a person, the heavens open and divine encounters begin to take place. God begins to send angelic help, divine direction, and supernatural messages that shift a destiny forward.
a) A season of divine encounters — Luke 1:11
When Zechariah was remembered, an angel appeared. God announces new seasons through encounters.
b) Fear turns into divine assurance — Luke 1:13
The first word was “Fear not.” Divine remembrance removes fear and brings supernatural peace.
c) Long-standing prayers suddenly gain attention — Revelation 8:3-4
God begins to act on prayers you have prayed for years; nothing prayed in faith is ever lost.
d) God speaks with clarity and direction — Isaiah 30:21
In seasons of remembrance, God begins to guide your steps and confirm His will unmistakably.
Biblical Example: Abraham encountered God repeatedly before Isaac came, and each encounter brought the promise closer until it manifested (Genesis 18:1-10).
2. SUPERNATURAL LIFTING AND REMOVAL OF REPROACH
One of the clearest signs that God has remembered you is the breaking of reproach, shame, and longstanding limitations. God replaces your tears with honour.
a) Reproach is taken away — Luke 1:25
Elizabeth said, “The Lord hath taken away my reproach.” Divine remembrance removes shame publicly.
b) Closed chapters suddenly open — Psalm 126:1–2
When God remembers you, forgotten doors swing open.
c) Honour replaces years of humiliation — Isaiah 61:7
Where there was shame, God brings double honour.
d) Long-term delays come to an end — 1 Samuel 1:19-20
Hannah conceived after years of delay; divine remembrance puts an end to waiting.
Biblical Example: Joseph — after years in prison, God remembered him and lifted him from the dungeon to the palace in one day (Genesis 41:14-16).
3. SUPERNATURAL FRUITFULNESS AND PERFORMANCE OF PROPHECY
When God remembers a person, what was barren becomes fruitful and what was empty begins to produce results.
a) Barriers to fruitfulness are broken — Genesis 30:22
“And God remembered Rachel…” Her womb, previously closed, opened immediately.
b) Prophecies begin to manifest — Luke 1:20
Once remembrance comes, there will be “performance” of the things spoken by the Lord.
c) Human limitations are overruled — Romans 4:19-21
Age, background, and impossibility cannot stop the move of God.
d) Results multiply beyond expectation — Ephesians 3:20
God does not just answer; He exceeds expectations.
Biblical Example: Sarah — God remembered her and fulfilled the promise when it was naturally impossible (Genesis 21:1-7).
4. DIVINE ALIGNMENT AND SUPERNATURAL FAVOUR
Divine remembrance often comes with favour, alignment, and accelerated destiny pathways. God begins to orchestrate events that position you for manifestation.
a) Favour begins to speak for you — Psalm 102:13
The set time to favour you has come.
b) Destiny connections and helpers appear — Isaiah 49:23
Kings and queens arise to help you when God remembers you.
c) Divine instructions lead to breakthroughs — 2 Kings 4:3-7
God begins to give clear strategies for abundance and victory.
d) Acceleration replaces stagnation — Amos 9:13
Things begin to happen fast; testimonies come in quick succession.
Biblical Example: Mordecai — in one night, the king remembered him, and favour moved him from the gate to the throne (Esther 6:1-11).
CONCLUSION:
When God remembers a person, everything changes slowly at first, then suddenly. You step into a season of divine encounters, open heavens, favour, fruitfulness, answered prayers, and the removal of long-standing shame. Delays collapse, impossibilities bow, and prophecies begin to manifest with power and precision.
The same God who remembered Zechariah, Elizabeth, Hannah, Sarah, Rachel, Joseph, and Mordecai will remember you. Your life is entering a new chapter. Your tears, prayers, sacrifices, and faith have been recorded in heaven. Your season of remembrance has come, and nothing will stop what God has begun.
