THAT SAME GOD WILL DO IT AGAIN

INTRODUCTION
One of the greatest assurances the believer carries is the unchanging nature of God. Circumstances may shift, seasons may turn, people may change, and challenges may rise, but God remains eternally consistent. His character does not fluctuate, and His power does not diminish. What He did before, He is still able and willing to do again.
Throughout the Scriptures, God invites us to remember His past deeds so that our faith might be strengthened. The testimonies of yesterday are not merely historical records; they are faith-building evidence that God is still at work. Every miracle of old is a prophecy of what God can repeat in your life when you trust Him wholeheartedly.
As we stand at the edge of new seasons and face different kinds of challenges, the Spirit of God calls us to look back and recall the wonders He has done. The same God who healed before will heal again. The same God who opened doors before will open them again. The same God who lifted, restored, defended, and delivered before—that same God will do it again in your life.
1. GOD DOES NOT CHANGE, AND HIS POWER DOES NOT DIMINISH
God remains eternally the same in power, mercy, character, and ability. What He did before He can reproduce in any generation.
God’s unchanging nature is the foundation of our confidence. Because He does not change, His works and wonders remain dependable from age to age.
a) God’s nature is constant (Malachi 3:6)
His character cannot be altered by circumstances, time, or human failures; He remains faithful to His word.
b) God’s power is everlasting (Isaiah 26:4)
Divine strength does not weaken or run out; the God who worked wonders generations ago still operates in the same capacity.
c) God’s compassion is renewed daily (Lamentations 3:22-23)
His mercies are not restricted to the past; they unfold freshly every morning for those who trust Him.
d) God’s promises are timeless (2 Corinthians 1:20)
Every promise He made is still valid; not one has expired or become irrelevant.
Biblical Example:
When God told Moses to stretch his rod over the Red Sea, He showed His power. But He repeated that same wonder when Joshua faced the Jordan. The waters parted again, proving that His power never diminishes (Exodus 14:21; Joshua 3:15-17).
2. GOD REPEATS HIS WONDERS WHEN HIS PEOPLE REMEMBER HIS WORKS
God expects His people to remember His past miracles because remembrance fuels expectation and invites divine intervention.
When you recall what God has done, you strengthen your faith to receive what He is about to do. Testimonies are reminders that God is still alive and active.
a) Remembering fuels faith (Psalm 77:11-12)
Meditating on past miracles stirs confidence that God can act again.
b) Testimonies are spiritual seeds (Revelation 12:11)
They become instruments of victory when spoken and believed.
c) Forgetfulness hinders miracles (Psalm 78:41-42)
Israel limited God because they forgot His works; a forgetful believer weakens divine manifestation.
d) Remembrance attracts divine action (Psalm 105:5)
When we bring God’s deeds to memory, we align our hearts with His faithfulness.
Biblical Example:
David remembered how God delivered him from the lion and the bear. That remembrance empowered him to face Goliath, believing God would do it again. And indeed, God did (1 Samuel 17:34-37).
3. GOD REPEATS HIS WONDERS WHEN HIS PEOPLE WALK IN OBEDIENCE AND FAITH
Obedience and faith are keys that unlock repeated miracles. God responds to trust and submission from His children.
Every time God performed wonders in Scripture, He required faith and obedience. He still looks for these qualities today before repeating His acts.
a) Faith moves the hand of God (Mark 9:23)
Nothing limits God except unbelief; faith makes the impossible possible.
b) Obedience triggers divine intervention (Deuteronomy 28:1-2)
When God’s people act on His instruction, miracles follow.
c) Doubt blocks divine repetition (James 1:6-7)
A doubting heart will struggle to experience the power of God.
d) God honours consistent trust (Hebrews 10:35-36)
Those who endure in faith always see God act again on their behalf.
Biblical Example:
Peter obeyed Jesus’ instruction to cast his net again, even after an unproductive night. Because of his faith-filled obedience, Jesus repeated the miracle of abundance, and the nets overflowed (Luke 5:4-7).
4. GOD WILL DO IT AGAIN TO REVEAL HIS GLORY AND ESTABLISH HIS PURPOSE
Every repeated miracle reveals God’s glory and advances His divine agenda in our lives.
God does not repeat wonders merely to impress; He does it to glorify His name, promote His kingdom, and align our destinies to His will.
a) God repeats miracles to glorify His name (John 11:4)
His wonders reveal His supremacy and draw men to Him.
b) God repeats miracles to confirm His Word (Isaiah 55:11)
Whenever He acts again, it validates what He has spoken.
c) God repeats miracles to establish destiny (Jeremiah 29:11)
His acts position His children where He wants them to be.
d) God repeats miracles to silence adversaries (Psalm 92:11)
Each divine intervention puts the enemy to shame.
Biblical Example:
God delivered Daniel from the lions’ den, and later delivered Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from the fiery furnace. By repeating His wonders in Babylon, He revealed His glory and silenced the adversaries (Daniel 3 & 6).
CONCLUSION
The God you serve is not a God of one-time miracles. He is a God who repeats His wonders in every generation and in every life that believes in Him. What He did in the Scriptures, in the lives of saints, and in your own past, He is ready and willing to do again.
As you trust Him, walk in faith, obey His voice, and remember His works, you position yourself for repeated manifestations of His power. No matter the challenge before you today, let your heart be assure: that same God will do it again.

1. Lord, I thank You for Your unchanging nature and constant faithfulness.
2. Father, repeat in my life every miracle that I need for this season.
3. O God, let the testimonies of my past provoke new wonders in my present.
4. Lord, strengthen my faith to believe You again for the impossible.
5. Father, silence every voice of doubt challenging my expectations.
6. Lord, restore every blessing, breakthrough, or opportunity I once enjoyed.
7. Father, let Your mercy speak again over every area of my life.
8. O God, let Your glory be revealed through repeated wonders in my destiny.
9. Lord, confirm Your Word in my life through fresh miracles.
10. Father, do it again for me, and let my life become a testimony of Your faithfulness.
