Good Morning
Grab your Bible and say this with me:
This is my Bible.
I am what it says I am.
I have what it says I have.
I can do what it says I can do.
Today I will be taught more of the Word of God.
I boldly confess: My mind is alert,
My heart is receptive.
I will never be the same.
I am about to receive the incorruptible, indestructible, ever-living seed of the Word of God.
I will never be the same.
I’ll never be the same, in Jesus’ Name—Amen.
Building my Church
Open your Bible to Matthew 16:18 and say, "Amen" when you are there.
“And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” — Matthew 16:18
Church, today we stand on one of the most powerful promises Jesus ever made. These words were not just spoken to Peter—they were spoken to every believer, to the whole Body of Christ, and to every generation that would carry His name.
Jesus says:
“I will build My church.”
Not man… not systems… not governments… not movements…
Jesus Himself is the builder.
And because He is the builder, two things are guaranteed:
1. The Church Will Stand.
Storms may come. Culture may shift. Darkness may rise. But the Church—God’s people—will remain unshaken.
2. Hell Cannot Win.
Not “might not.”
Not “probably won’t.”
Shall not prevail.
Hell has gates, but gates don’t attack—gates defend.
Jesus is saying:
“My church will advance… and hell’s defenses won’t be strong enough to stop it.”
Encouraging Story: The Unshakeable Church in the Storm
Several years ago, during a major hurricane, a small church in a coastal town was expected to collapse. The storm surge wiped out homes, businesses, and even government buildings. After the storm, as people walked through the debris, something astonishing happened: the entire community gathered around that little church building—still standing.
One reporter asked the pastor, “How in the world did your church stay standing when almost everything else fell?”
The pastor replied,
“It wasn’t the building… it was the foundation. What we built on never moved.”
Church, hear this today:
When your life is built on Christ—the Rock—storms may shake you, but they cannot break you.
Winds may blow, but they cannot uproot you.
Hell may fight you, but it cannot defeat you.
Jesus didn’t just build a church—He is building you.
Main Points for Today
1. Jesus Builds the Church — and He’s Still Building You.
He is shaping your character.
He is strengthening your faith.
He is restoring what was broken.
You are not a finished product—He is still working on you.
2. Your Life Has a Kingdom Assignment.
Peter went from unstable to unstoppable when Jesus spoke identity over him.
God does the same for you:
He calls you what you will become—before you look like it.
3. The Gates of Hell Will Not Prevail.
Not over your mind.
Not over your family.
Not over your calling.
Not over your future.
Not over this church.
Because the One who builds you is greater than the one who tries to destroy you.
Let’s take a moment right now to pray.
Father, in the Name of Jesus, thank You for being the builder of our lives and the builder of Your Church.
Strengthen every believer here today.
Uproot fear, doubt, anxiety, and discouragement.
Remind us that we are part of a victorious Church—one that hell cannot defeat.
Lord, build our faith, build our families, build our purpose, and build our future.
We surrender ourselves to You again today.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Pause and let the Holy Spirit minister for a moment…
Altar Call
Today, Jesus is not only building His Church—He is calling you to be part of it.
Maybe you have felt shaken.
Maybe you feel like the storm hit you hard.
Maybe you feel far from God.
Or maybe… you’ve never built your life on the Rock at all.
But today, right now, Jesus is saying:
“Come. Let Me build your life. Let Me strengthen your foundation.”
If you need to give your heart to Jesus…
If you need to rededicate your life…
If you’re tired of building on sand and you want to stand on the Rock…
This is your moment.
Take a step of faith.
Lift your hand.
Come to the altar.
Say, “Jesus, I surrender.”
Salvation Prayer
If you’re ready, pray this with me:
“Lord Jesus, I come to You today.
I believe You died for me and rose again.
Forgive me of my sins.
Make me new.
Be the Rock I build my life upon.
I give You my heart, my future, and my entire life.
Thank You that the gates of hell will not prevail against me.
I belong to You—now and forever.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Closing Prayer
Father, thank You for every person who prayed, every heart You touched, and every life You are building.
Seal Your Word in us today.
Strengthen us.
Guide us.
Empower us as part of Your victorious Church.
In Jesus’ Name—Amen.
