Keep Walking ( Mark 16:1-4)
You usually here these verses preached on at Easter time
I am not sure why we get hung up on only preaching the resurrection at Easter
I feel that this should be preached on throughout the entire year
1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.
I have heard it told, women will say that they was the first ones at the tomb and they are correct, women was the 1st there
But here is the thing, they didn’t believe it either, they purchased spices to anoint the body
They went with intention of seeing a body
They wasn’t for sure, they had doubt, but they kept walking
2 And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.
They arrived early in the morning at this sepulcher, this tomb
Let me tell you something about this tomb It was a virgin tomb, nobody had ever used it
He was born of a virgin woman, he had no seed of man in him, only God. - He couldn’t have stayed dead
Jesus is not dead, he will never be dead, we are serving a living God - We have a king - his name is Yawey He is just as alive today as he was back in this time
3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?
3 women was on this journey
I am not buying the fact that they didn’t ask this question until they got to the tomb
Give me 3 men and I would say yeah that probably happened
But not 3 women, women are so strategic, so well organized, this is something that they was thinking about before their journey even started
My point I want to make is they just kept walking
They had no idea how they was going to remove the stone
They had no man power with them but they kept walking
They had faith that it was going to work out
No matter what life throws at you
No matter how many obstacles are going to be
When life just doesn’t make sense
You just keep walking
Problems in your marriage - keep walking
Problems at work - keep walking
Having trouble paying the bills - keep walking
If these women would have stopped walking, they wouldn’t have got to see this miracle first hand
If you stop walking you will miss the miracle that God has in store for you
Easiest thing you can do in life is just quit, don’t quit just keep walking
You can’t get where you need to be if you stop walking, keep walking my friend and just see how big our God really is
Anybody want to testify to that statement?

Oh yeah, I have been there, I was taking my son Issac up on top of the mountain to sacrifice
I had the fire and I had the wood but no lamb
I didn’t understand but I just kept walking
God showed up and I mean God showed up
Elijah said I can testify to that
I went to mount Carmel by myself, outnumbered
Didn’t make sense on paper but I kept walking
And then God showed up
4) self explanatory here, Amen. If Jesus had to do this every day, he would b/c of the love he has for us, no need
