Jesus Is Victorious”
Revelation 1:4–8
Revelation is one of the most misunderstood books in the Bible. Many people approach it with fear—thinking of judgment, destruction, and end-time events. But the very first message Revelation gives us is not fear… it’s encouragement.
Before John sees judgment, before he sees battle, before he sees the return of Christ… he sees Jesus walking with His Church, standing in victory, shining in power, and ruling in authority.
Revelation begins with one powerful truth:
?? Jesus Christ is victorious—past, present, and future.
No matter:
the chaos around you,
the storms you face,
the trials in your life,
the fears that keep you awake at night…
Jesus walks with you. Jesus rules above it. Jesus has already overcome it.
Today, I want to show you three truths from Revelation 1 that will anchor your soul—truths that will help you walk in victory every day of your life.
(Revelation 1:12–16)
John turns around and sees Jesus walking among the lampstands — a symbol of His Church.
Not watching from a distance.
Not observing from heaven.
**Walking among us. Close. Present. Near.
This means:
Jesus is with you when you’re confused.
Jesus is with you when you’re hurting.
Jesus is with you in your finances, your family, your fears, and your daily decisions.
He is not the God who stands far away — He is the God who steps into your situation.
Imagine a child in a busy marketplace, overwhelmed by noise and movement. But the moment that child grabs a parent’s hand, everything changes.
The noise is still there — but fear is gone. Chaos remains — but security covers them.
This is how Jesus walks with us.
I once counseled a young woman whose life was overwhelmed — bills piling up, relationships breaking down, uncertainty at every turn. She said, “I feel like I’m drowning.”
I told her, “Each morning, before you do anything, imagine Jesus taking your hand and walking with you through the day.”
She began doing this. Slowly, she found peace she had never known. Courage grew where fear once lived. And one by one, situations began to turn around — not because life suddenly got easy, but because **Jesus was walking with her.
When you wake up tomorrow, picture Jesus walking beside you.
When fear rises, say: “Jesus is here with me.”
Let His presence bring courage, comfort, and victory.
Not only is Jesus with us — He is eternal. He sees what we cannot see.
Jesus Is Eternal
(Revelation 1:8)
Jesus says, “I am the Alpha and the Omega… who is, who was, and who is to come.”
He sees the beginning.
He sees the end.
He stands outside of time, guiding all things for His glory and your good.
Nothing touches your life that He has not already seen and prepared for.
Think of an orchestra conductor.
To the audience, the music may feel overwhelming… but to the conductor, every note, every pause, every instrument has purpose.
You may not understand your season — but Jesus is orchestrating your story with perfect precision.
A man I met lost his job, his home, and battled serious health issues. He felt abandoned. But he began a simple daily declaration:
“Jesus, You know the end from the beginning.”
A year later, doors opened:
A new job.
A stable home.
Healing in his body.
He told me, “The breakthrough didn’t start when things changed — it started when I trusted the One who sees everything.”
Trust Jesus’ timing.
Rest in His eternal wisdom.
Believe Romans 8:28: He works *all things for your good.
If Jesus walks with us and if He controls all things — then we can walk in victory over every fear, trial, and storm.
Jesus has already overcome the world.
Your fear is not final.
Your trial is not final.
Your situation is not final.
Because Jesus is victorious — and His victory is available to you.
A soldier who knows the battle is already won fights with boldness. He doesn’t fear defeat — he walks in confidence.
You can face life the same way — because Christ has already secured the victory.
In prison ministry, a man told me he lived with crippling fear and regret. He believed he could never change. We prayed together — and something broke. He finally believed Jesus’ victory was enough for him.
Weeks later, he was mentoring other inmates.
Months later, he said, “For the first time in my life, I’m free.”
Not free from prison — free in Christ.
Walk today in confidence, not fear.
Declare Jesus’ victory over your mind, your emotions, your future.
Let His triumph shape your identity.
Now that we’ve heard the Word, let’s respond to it.
Prayer
Invite everyone to bow their heads.
Lead them slowly and gently:
“Right where you are… thank Jesus for walking with you.
Thank Him for His eternal wisdom.
Thank Him for His victory.”
“Now give Him your fears…
Your worries…
Your trials…
Your anxiety…”
“Ask Him to walk with you tomorrow… and the next day… and every day."
Conclusion
Jesus is:
Present — walking among us
Eternal — ruling over all things
Victorious — conquering every fear and trial
But now you must make a choice:
Will you invite that victory into your life?

With every head bowed:
If you need Jesus’ victory in your life today…
If you need peace…
If you are tired of fear…
If you’re ready to surrender…
Raise your hand right now.
If you want to take a step of faith, come forward.
This is your moment.
Your turning point.
Your breakthrough.
“Jesus, I come to You today.”
“I surrender my fears, my struggles, and my future.”
“I believe You walk with me.”
“I believe You are eternal.”
“I believe You have already won the victory.”
“Fill me with Your peace.”
Strengthen me by Your Spirit.”
“I receive Your victory today.”
“In Jesus’ Name… Amen.”
“May the victory of Jesus Christ fill your heart, strengthen your mind, and guide your steps. You are not alone. You are not defeated. Through Christ — you are victorious. Amen.”
