1 Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia,
The Result - they came to Thessalonica,
The Resource - where was a synagogue of the Jews:
The Declaration
The Preacher - 2 and Paul,
The Practice - as his manner was,
The Pursuit - went in unto them,
The Preaching - He Preached -
The Word of God -
and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
The Will of God - 3 opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead;

The Need of Salvation - He must suffer that I must be saved.

A Partial Response - 4 And some of them believed,
A Practical Response - and consorted with Paul and Silas;

Preachers - and these all do contrary to the decrees of Cæsar,

The Trouble - 8 And they troubled the people and the rulers of the city
The Trial - when they heard these things.
The Treatment - 9 And when they had taken security of Jason,
and of the other, they let them go.
The Deportation -
The Haste - 10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas
The Hate - by night unto Berea:
The Hunger - who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews
