INTRODUCTION:
God never intended for His children to live ordinary lives. Salvation brings us into a supernatural dimension where we are empowered to overcome limitations, destroy the works of the devil, and demonstrate the reality of God’s Kingdom on earth.
Walking in the supernatural is not reserved for a few chosen ministers, but for every believer who has the Holy Spirit. Jesus declared that those who believe in Him will do the works He did and even greater works (John 14:12). This means that every Christian is designed to live a life marked by miracles, signs, and wonders.
To walk in the supernatural, we must align ourselves with God’s Word, be sensitive to the Spirit, and activate divine principles that make the power of God evident in our lives. This study explores how we can step into that realm and sustain it daily.
1. UNDERSTAND YOUR IDENTITY IN CHRIST
The supernatural begins with knowing who you are in Christ. Without identity, you cannot walk in authority.
a) You are a new creation – 2 Corinthians 5:17: In Christ, you have a new nature that transcends natural limitations.
b) You are seated with Christ – Ephesians 2:6: Your authority flows from your position in the heavenly realms.
c) You are more than a conqueror – Romans 8:37: Supernatural living means walking in constant victory.
d) You are God’s ambassador – 2 Corinthians 5:20: Walking in the supernatural is manifesting heaven on earth as His representative.
Biblical Example: Paul knew his identity in Christ and operated in authority, healing the sick and casting out devils everywhere (Acts 19:11-12).
2. BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is the power source for supernatural living.
a) Receive the baptism of the Spirit – Acts 1:8: You cannot manifest the supernatural without being filled with power from on high.
b) Walk in sensitivity – Romans 8:14: Those led by the Spirit operate in divine dimensions.
c) Pray in the Spirit – Jude 20: Praying in tongues charges your spiritual capacity for supernatural exploits.
d) Yield to His gifts – 1 Corinthians 12:7-10: The gifts of the Spirit are manifestations of the supernatural life.
Biblical Example: Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, raised the lame man at the Beautiful Gate (Acts 3:6-8).
3. WALK IN UNWAVERING FAITH
Faith is the key that unlocks the supernatural realm.
a) Believe God’s Word absolutely – Hebrews 11:1: Faith is the foundation of the supernatural.
b) Act on the Word – James 2:17: Faith without works is dead; acting on the Word produces miracles.
c) Reject fear and doubt – 2 Timothy 1:7: Fear is a hindrance to supernatural manifestation.
d) Confess boldly – Mark 11:23: Declaring God’s Word releases power into situations.
Biblical Example: The woman with the issue of blood acted in faith, touched Jesus’ garment, and received a supernatural healing (Mark 5:25-34).
4. LIVE A LIFE OF HOLINESS AND CONSECRATION
The supernatural thrives in vessels set apart for God.
a) Be holy as God is holy – 1 Peter 1:16: Sin quenches the flow of supernatural power.
b) Separate from worldly contamination – 2 Corinthians 6:17: Consecration keeps the power pure.
c) Walk in obedience – Isaiah 1:19: Obedience opens the door for the supernatural.
d) Be a vessel unto honour – 2 Timothy 2:21: A consecrated vessel becomes God’s channel of power.
Biblical Example: Daniel lived a consecrated life in Babylon and operated in supernatural wisdom and revelations (Daniel 1:8, Daniel 2:19-22).
5. ENGAGE IN DEEP PRAYER AND FASTING
Prayer and fasting sharpen spiritual authority for supernatural living.
a) Prayer connects you to divine power – James 5:16: Effectual prayer releases supernatural results.
b) Fasting increases spiritual sensitivity – Matthew 17:21: Some breakthroughs only happen through prayer and fasting.
c) Prayer enforces dominion – Luke 18:1: Persistent prayer produces supernatural interventions.
d) Prayer births revival fire – Acts 4:31: The disciples prayed and were filled with boldness and power.
Biblical Example: Jesus fasted 40 days and came out in the power of the Spirit, manifesting the supernatural everywhere (Luke 4:14).
6. OPERATE IN LOVE AND COMPASSION
The supernatural flows through love, because love is God’s nature.
a) Love moves God’s power – Galatians 5:6: Faith works by love.
b) Compassion activates miracles – Matthew 14:14: Jesus healed the multitudes because He was moved with compassion.
c) Love breaks barriers – 1 Corinthians 13:8: Love never fails and opens the way for divine manifestations.
d) Love reflects God’s glory – John 13:35: Walking in love is walking in the nature of the supernatural God.
Biblical Example: Jesus raised Lazarus because of His love and compassion for the family (John 11:33-44).
CONCLUSION:
Walking in the supernatural is not optional for believers; it is our inheritance in Christ. God has empowered us to live above natural laws and to manifest His Kingdom wherever we go.
When we understand our identity, are filled with the Spirit, walk in faith, live consecrated lives, engage in prayer, and operate in love, the supernatural becomes our daily experience. This is the season to rise and walk in the fullness of God’s power.
