There are some things as children of the Most High God that we have forgotten about. We have changed while becoming comfortable as Christians. We are too comfortable, and so we lack much spiritualness without knowing it, but God cannot and will not change. With that being said , it isn't the church that has changed but we ourselves.
Hebrews 13
13 Let brotherly love continue.2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.3 Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
I came today to remind you that God is the same God that you called upon when you came down to your last straw, your wits end, when you were just about to give up, and what he stood for and commanded so long ago, still stands today. There's nothing new under the sun.The only thing that has changed is the people for God. LISTEN…
God is still God when you have money, and God is still God when you have no money. God is still God when you're sick in your body, and He's still God after he heals you. God is still God when folks lie and destroy your character , and he is still God when your name graces the community. He's God when all seem lost, and he's still God when all seem right. God is still God when they laugh at you until you cry tears of desperation , and he is yet God when joy has found you in every way .
I found out that no matter what is going on in your life or in this world, God cannot and will not change.
If He did for Abraham, he will do it for you. If he did it for the children of Israel, he will do it for you. If he GUIDED Lot out of the city, he can make a way of escape for you as well. The same God that did it for the Hebrew boys will do it for you. He who closed the lion's mouth and allowed Brother Daniel not to be a 3 peace meal, yessir, He will close the mouth of the devil and allow you to persevere. For Satan is going to and from through the land seeking whom he may devour.
But God hasn't changed, yet we have. I for one admit my slothfulness and roaming eyes at times. But we as a people have stopped coming to church and have misplaced our Bibles. We are no longer interested in what God's chosen has to say.
Now we are replacing Amazing Grace with Boots on the Ground. More and more pastors have girlfriends in the church and some have even taken same sex partners. Things that were frowned upon in the old church, is now becoming the norm. A man thinks because he is made of flesh he has an excuse. You need to check yourself before you wreck yourself.
There was a time when the church would pull you to the side and tell you, you need to go back to the altar for your sins, but now we call it minding our own business. As a Christian, we are each other's business, because you don't want to be held accountable for what you didn't say, as well as what you did say. Sunday school has gone a stray in many churches. Children aren't made to attend unless they want to.
Money means more to us and what we drive than magnifying the Lord! We have changed and the world is continuing to do the same.
But God….
Still able to save to the uttermost!
Still able to heal the sick and raise the dead!
Still able to Still the waters!
Still able to send manna to a starving land!
Still able to spit on the ground and cause man to see.
Still able to tell a person all about themselves.
Still able to remove demons from a lost soul.
Still able to make you shout.
Still able to make you speak in tongues.
Still able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we ask or think!
Malachi 3:6 states, "For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed." This verse emphasizes God's unchanging nature and faithfulness to his promises, which is why the descendants of Jacob haven't been completely destroyed despite their unfaithfulness, according to some Bible commentaries.
God still loves you with unconditional love. What he wanted for the people of old, He still wants this day.
Look at your neighbor…tell them…
He's the same God that created heaven and earth. The same God that destroyed earth with a flood and revived it again. The same God that disguises himself as a cloud in the day and fire by night! The same God that made animals and man. One who designed everything so magnificent that we can't even begin to comprehend his Power! He put lungs in our bodies and breathed the breath of life in them.
Most of all, Christ's love has not changed. The same Jesus that died on the cross so many thousand years ago still has an unconditional love for you and I today. He has not forgotten us. Though you are persecuted, lied on, picked at, pushed around, denied, mistreated privately at home, harassed by unseen forces,...Christ Jesus is still in love with you and He wants all that is good for you. He wants you to be in His heavenly choir singing praises unto him forever and ever. He paid a price that was too high for anyone else to pay. So that means you get a free ticket to heaven, but you got to come to the altar to pick it up. It want come in writing or paper, but by the confession of your sins. And you get free perks that come with being saved on earth. He will give you strength and knowledge to defeat giants. You don't have to fight your own battles, or worry about food or water. No
more worries about finances for he will supply your every need according to His riches and glory. You will receive a new home. New clothing. New grocery store, which is the tree of life. He has not changed His mind about your long white robe and starry crown. You got a mansion up there. He's the same God, and His promises are the same. He's still forgiving and accepting any and all comers just say yes to his will and yes to his way.
He saved grandma, he will save you. He delivered daddy and grandpa, he will deliver you. Behold I stand at the door and knock…the day you hear my voice harden not your heart!
He's the same God that was there when they use to speak in tongue and the white foam would come out their mouths.
He's the same God when they used to catch the Holy Ghost and would be slain in the spirit, and they would cover you with a white sheet.
The same God when the preacher would pour oil on your head and you didn't mind.
The same God, who you used to tarry for until you got the Holy Ghost.
The same God that you would do a seven day fast for.
He delivered the children of Israel from Egypt land.
He took a shepherd boy and made him king!
He made water spring from a rock. Created the earth and the fullness thereof.
He made a blind man see, turn water into wine. Healed a woman with the aura of his power, caused it to rain for 40 days and 40 nights.
Same God that fed over 5000 with 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread. Huber by fire at night
