Introduction
• Jesus came into the world to heal the broken-hearted, set captives free, and bring life to the dead (Luke 4:18).
• Many times in the Gospels, those who were healed by Jesus didn’t just go home quietly; they became messengers, helpers, and witnesses of Christ’s power.
• Healed people became partners in ministry—because their healing was not the end, but the beginning of their mission.
Main Point: When Jesus heals us—physically, spiritually, or emotionally—He also calls us to help Him heal others.

1. Healed People Became Testifiers of Jesus’ Power
(a) The Demon-Possessed Man of the Gerasenes – Mark 5:1–20
• Once tormented, living among the tombs, breaking chains.
• Jesus cast out the legion of demons.
• He begged to follow Jesus, but Jesus told him: “Go home and tell how much the Lord has done for you.”
• Result: He became the first missionary in Decapolis. His testimony prepared hearts for Jesus’ later ministry in that region (Mark 7:31–37).
Lesson: When God heals us, our story becomes the seed for others’ healing.

(b) The Samaritan Woman – John 4:28–30
• Broken, rejected, living in shame.
• Jesus gave her living water.
• She left her jar and ran to the town: “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did!”
• Result: Many Samaritans believed in Jesus through her testimony.
Lesson: A healed soul becomes a witness who draws whole communities to Christ.

2. Healed People Became Helpers in Jesus’ Ministry
(a) Peter’s Mother-in-law – Matthew 8:14–15
• Jesus healed her of fever.
• Immediately, she got up and served them.
• Her healing turned into service.
Lesson: Healing restores us not just for ourselves but for kingdom service.

(b) The Blind Man Bartimaeus – Mark 10:46–52
• Once blind, crying out for mercy.
• After being healed, he followed Jesus along the road.
• Walking testimony, encouraging others to cry out too.

(c) The Ten Lepers – Luke 17:12–19
• All healed, but only one returned to give thanks.
• That Samaritan not only received healing but also salvation (“Your faith has made you well”).

3. Healed People Became Evangelists and Witnesses
(a) Lazarus – John 11:43–45; John 12:9–11
• Raised from the dead.
• Because of Lazarus, many Jews believed in Jesus.
• The chief priests even plotted to kill him because his testimony was so powerful.
Lesson: Every miracle in our life is a message that can bring others to Christ.

(b) The Lame Man at the Beautiful Gate – Acts 3:1–10
• Healed through the name of Jesus by Peter and John.
• He leapt, walked, and praised God publicly.
• All the people saw it and were filled with wonder and amazement.
Lesson: Public joy in healing brings glory to Jesus and attracts people to the Gospel.

4. How We Help the Healing Ministry of Jesus Today
Just like in the Bible, healed people are not spectators but partners:
1. Through Testimony – Share your story of how God healed or saved you (Revelation 12:11).
2. Through Service – Use your restored strength and gifts to serve the church and the needy.
3. Through Evangelism – Point others to Jesus, the true Healer of soul and body.
4. Through Compassion – Pray for the sick, comfort the broken, and walk with the wounded.
5. Through Support – Support God’s work with your time, finances, and encouragement.

• You may have been healed from sickness, sin, or sorrow—don’t keep it silent.
• Share your testimony: someone else needs to hear it.
• If God healed your finances, help the poor.
• If God healed your marriage, counsel struggling couples.
• If God healed your soul, tell others about salvation in Christ.
We are not healed to sit down; we are healed to serve!
