3 Dangerous Delusions That Will Lead You AWAY From Christ!

MAIN SERMON
🚨 INTRODUCTION: THE COMFORT ZONE CRISIS
Today we're exposing three deadly delusions that have lulled believers into a false sense of security—comfortable Christianity that could leave you behind when Jesus comes!
Church, we're living in an age of COMFORTABLE CHRISTIANITY - where believers are resting on false pillows, sleeping in false security, and heading for the greatest shock of their lives!
Three DEADLY DELUSIONS have invaded the church, and they're sending souls to hell with a smile on their face!
Sermon Illustration: Just because you have a warranty on your car, that doesn't mean you don't have to do recommended maintenance on it! If you never change your oil and the engine blows up after 40,000 miles, your warranty will not cover it!

?? DELUSION #1: "SURELY SAVED" - THE PRESUMPTION OF PARADISE

🛡? How often I hear "Brother, I'm SURELY SAVED! I prayed the prayer in 1985! Nothing can change that!"
But beloved, what does the INFALLIBLE WORD OF GOD declare?
📖 The Biblical Reality Check
2 Peter 1:10 commands: "Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election SURE!"
? If you're already "surely saved," why does God tell you to MAKE IT SURE?
Philippians 3:12-14 - Paul himself declared: "Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after... I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus!"
Paul wasn't resting on "surely saved" - he was PRESSING, PUSHING, PURSUING!
💀 The Terrifying Truth
1 Corinthians 9:27 - "But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway."
Even PAUL could become a castaway!
Matthew 7:22-23 - "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity!"
These people were SURE they were saved! They prophesied! They cast out devils! But Jesus said, "I NEVER KNEW YOU!"
?? The Conditional Reality
Hebrews 3:12-14 warns: "Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God... For we are made partakers of Christ, IF we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end!"
IF! IF! IF! Not "surely saved" but "IF we hold fast!"
2 Peter 2:20-21 should make every comfortable Christian tremble: "For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning."

?? DELUSION #2: "SHIELDED FROM SATAN" - THE MYTH OF AUTOMATIC PROTECTION

🛡? "I'm a blood-bought child of God! Satan can't touch me!"
Oh, what dangerous deception! If you're automatically shielded, why does the Bible give us so many warnings? Most Christians emphasize that believers cannot be ‘possessed’ by devils. But this is a distraction from the fact of satanic attacks upon believers. It is true that the Holy Spirit and an evil spirit cannot ‘possess’ the same house at the same time, but….. besides the possibility of the believer evicting the Holy Spirit from his ‘house’, man is a 3 part being. Body, soul (mind) and spirit. Even if a believers’ spirit cannot be possessed’, satanic forces can certainly attack his mind and his body.
🦁 The Reality of Spiritual Warfare
1 Peter 5:8 doesn't say relax - it says: "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour!"
He's seeking to devour WHOM? The lost? No! He's after YOU, saint of God!
2 Corinthians 11:3 - Paul warned the CHURCH: "But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ!"
These were Spirit-filled believers, and Paul FEARED for them!
🎯 Satan's Targets - Even the Best
Luke 22:31-32 - Jesus told Peter: "And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not!"
Satan desired to have PETER - the one who had the revelation of who Jesus was!
1 Thessalonians 2:18 - "Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us!"
If the great apostle could be hindered by Satan, what makes you think you're automatically shielded?
? The Key to Victory
James 4:7 gives us the key: "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
You must RESIST! It's not automatic! You must FIGHT!
2 Corinthians 2:11 - "Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices."
If we're automatically shielded, how could Satan get an advantage?

🎺 DELUSION #3: "RAPTURE READY" - THE DECEPTION OF DEFAULT DEPARTURE

🚀 "I'm rapture ready! I go to church! I pay my tithes! When that trumpet sounds, I'm outta here!"
But precious people, Jesus painted a very different picture!
🚪 The Shut Door Reality
Matthew 25:11-12 records the cry of the foolish virgins: "Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not!"
They thought they were "rapture ready" - but the door was SHUT!
Matthew 24:42-44 - Jesus warned: "Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come... Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh!"
BE YE ALSO READY! It's not automatic!
👗 The Garment Warning
Revelation 16:15 declares: "Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame!"
You can lose your garments! You can be found NAKED when He comes!
1 Corinthians 15:1-2 - "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, IF ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain!"
You can believe IN VAIN!
👀 The Looking Requirement
Hebrews 9:28 says: "So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that LOOK for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation!"
Are you LOOKING for Him, or just assuming you're ready?
Luke 12:45-46 gives a sobering warning: "But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him... and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers!"

🔥 BREAKING FREE FROM COMFORTABLE CHRISTIANITY
Church, it's time to GET UNCOMFORTABLE!
Revelation 3:16-17 describes our condition: "So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked!"
💪 Paul's Example
2 Timothy 4:7-8 - "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness!"
He FOUGHT! He FINISHED! He KEPT THE FAITH!
🏗? How to Stay Ready
Jude 1:20-21 tells us how: "But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life!"
?? The Warnings
Amos 6:1 cries out: "Woe to them that are at ease in Zion!" GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE!
1 Corinthians 10:12 warns: "Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall!"

🚨 THE WAKE-UP CALL
Don't be "surely saved" - be CURRENTLY WALKING WITH GOD!
Don't be "shielded from Satan" - be ACTIVELY FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT!
Don't be "rapture ready" by default - be WATCHING AND PRAYING ALWAYS!
2 Chronicles 7:14 - "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven!"
The comfortable Christianity of this age is producing:
• 😴 SLEEPING VIRGINS without oil!
• 🌡? LUKEWARM BELIEVERS ready to be spewed out!
• 💔 DECEIVED SOULS who will hear "Depart from me!"
Isaiah 52:1 thunders: "Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion!"

🙌 ALTAR CALL: TIME TO GET UNCOMFORTABLE
Will you wake up today? Will you leave your comfort zone? Will you seek God like never before?
The midnight cry is about to sound! "Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him!" (Matthew 25:6)
ARE YOU TRULY READY?
Come to this altar and let God shake you out of your comfortable Christianity!
• Let Him search you!
• Let Him try you!
• Let Him prepare you!
TIME IS RUNNING OUT!

"He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!" (Revelation 22:20)
Don't be caught in the COMFORT ZONE when Jesus comes!
