TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
Genesis:1-5, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.”
How about a?little?critical?thinking today. We are?going?to answer the age old question that has been?asked?by generation?after?generation throughout history. It is the?question?of questions concerning the?origins?of life. Creationism versus Evolution. It starts with the age-old question, which came first, the chicken or the egg? Now, how many of you would?answer?that by saying the egg came first? Raise your hands. Why the egg? Some say that because?without?the egg, there?could?be no chicken. Now, how many of you?would?say the?chicken?came first? Raise your hands. Why the chicken? Some say that because?without?the chicken, there?could?be no egg.
In today’s more liberal?schools, evolution is being taught?in Biology classes as the answer to the?origins?of life. Even some Liberals, especially since the 1960’s, have been working non-stop in an effort to discredit religious theory, history, and in particular, and the Bible. What’s worse is that they’re trying to disprove the existence of God. Atheist and Evolutionists claim that science holds the answers. It’s as if they’re claiming that if you can’t see it, it’s not real. They especially deny the existence of Jesus as implausible and the entire New Testament, too. This brings us to today’s topic, the age-old conflict about Creationism vs. Evolutionism. Creationism, meaning that all we know and are, was created by God; versus the scientific version of belief where everything known was made from one speck of dust that exploded and caused everything to grow and evolve into our earth, our lifeforms, and our universe. Because of these teachings, the attack on the Book of Genesis has become a real battleground. Hebrews 11:3, “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”
A lot of liberal professors are openly atheistic and begin their courses by stating that “GOD IS DEAD!” One liberal professor was asked to explain why he taught?only evolution and not Creationism, too? His answer was to ask more questions such as…”You believe?in God and the Bible, right? And does that help you? Does that help you to be at?peace?with yourself? Yes? Well, I?think?that's great and I would encourage you to go on believing. I?teach?what my?textbooks?tells?me to teach. What he doesn’t tell you is that he wrote the book he’s referring to. It’s all about the money. The non-believers use tactics such as to answer questions with questions which shows that he is not willing to be on the defensive, instead, he puts himself on the offensive, which to that professor, means he is in control. Psalms 28:77, “The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.”
Non-believers obviously have no?respect?for God or?anything?that we?Christians believe. The concern is that these professors are causing young minds to change their beliefs to what the teachers believe. It’s easy for teachers to?change?someone’s views, especially if they’re young. They are there to learn from this person, so they trust that what he’s teaching is truth. Liberals believe that no one is right but them. Just look at today’s youth and college aged kids. You can’t tell them anything either. They know everything already. Sound familiar? Today, you see younger people protesting on the side of some of the most abhorrent things such as abortion, and even infanticide and genocide. They think that guns are the cause of all the mass shootings, when in fact, guns don’t kill people, people kill people. It’s much worse today because most of the parents these days aren’t raising their kids as we older ones were raised, by parents with the Bible in one hand and a switch in the other.
Look at the liberal party today. If you believe differently than how they want you to believe, they’ll get in your face, get violent, and wish you to be dead all because you don’t agree with them. They’ll try to hurt you in any way they can. They want to hurt you emotionally, financially, and physically. This is what evolutionist have caused in their science of teaching. They have been the cause of schools removing God from schools and governments, and without God, there is no way to keep law and order, decency, or justice in this world.
These liberal educators are playing with the minds of their students. Most students are young and impressionable. These educators are very?intelligent?teachers who?are very convincing. They ramble on about scientific?research and the?fossil?record because it’s their only believable theory. It’s very well educated and experienced educators against undeveloped, inexperienced minds of students.
One atheist was scouring the internet for evolutionism information to rile the Christians he knew. He discovered research that due to weather and wind patterns; the Red Sea was less than a foot deep when Moses led the Hebrews across it. “It wasn’t even up to their knees,” the atheist sneered. One of the Christian friends exclaimed, “It’s a miracle!” “What miracle?” the atheist asked. “Anybody could have waded across it!” The Christian grinned. “Simple. God drowned Pharaoh’s entire army in less than a foot of water!”
To combat these false beliefs, we must witness to these young minds to bring them back to reality, and we could make a difference. You may think that you’re out of the game, but we?should?never?stop trying to?share?the Lord with people. Just remember, for God so?loved?the world. Don't?be fooled into believing the lies the enemy teaches. It?still?comes?down to a?choice?we all make. And by the way, a?Christian?is never out of the game.
Evolutionists teach that we all came from apes. Ask any Evolutionist, “Does your mother look like an ape? How?about?your grandmother? Does she look like an ape? How?about?your great grandmother, does she look like an ape? So, your mother doesn't look like an ape and?neither?does your grandmother. Evolutionists say we all come from apes, so?which?one in your family was the monkey? And please don’t answer that when you’re with your family. Life?comes?from life. It doesn't come from non-life. God created everything and everyone. Did God?create?this world or did it come?about?through evolution? Either you are?going?to look at life?through?assumptive ideas or God's word. You can chance?your eternity on the?views?of Freud and?Darwin?if you want. I’m putting my trust in?Jesus?Christ who died on the cross for my sins, was?buried?and rose again on the?third?day.
Why is it that one Christian wants to take a stand for his faith and the next one doesn't? Why do some Christians have?convictions?about?things and?others?don't? Maybe the?difference?lies in how we?first?came to the Lord. Was it by addition or submission? What do I mean by that? It?seems?to me that a lot of people have added?Jesus to?their?life, but that's not it. You can't just add Jesus to your life, you must submit your life to Him. There's a big difference. So, get right with the Lord and start?living your life to please Him.
It?seems?that when the?question?is posed as to how life came to?exist?on our planet, the?theory?of evolution has?become?the dominant scientific view that is?taught?in our schools. Frankly, this?amazes?me. The?first?problem?I see is that evolution is not?scientific?in the truest?sense?of the word since?science?deals?with what can be observed and reproduced through experimentation. Scientific claims must be accepted only?after?they have been verified. The?origin?of life can be neither observed nor reproduced in any laboratory, even though they try to show us this with?their?illustrations in the?textbooks?I studied. By?definition?then, true naturalistic?science can?furnish?no knowledge about?where?any life form, including the?human?race, came from or how it got here. If God did not?create?the universe than who or what did'? A big bang that produced a?cosmic?explosion? What caused?it to go bang'? A chemical reaction? What?organized?the original chemicals or?molecules?or gases or whatever?evolutionists say happened to form life here on earth? What was the catalyst that caused the big bang and how did it create so much?detail?and beauty and?design?and intelligence? Nothing times something does not?equal?everything and yet, as I see it, that is the true definition of an?evolutionary?view of the?universe?and what millions and?millions?of people are?placing?their?trust?in as how life on this earth began. The evolutionary world view is?clearly?as much a religion as any theistic worldview. Not only is the teaching of evolution an?attack?against those well-known first?words?of the Bible, "In the beginning, God?created?the heaven and the earth," but it is and undermining?assault against the?authority?of God which really becomes the main issue?here. At?least?when we're starting with God as the first cause, it seems that?everything?else that?happens?makes?sense. The fact is, God is the first cause, even if you can't?prove it, except by faith. In fact, scientist believe there is proof that humans appeared on earth rather quickly with no explanation about 9 or 10,000 years ago. But how did these humans evolve? We know it wasn’t from apes because if it were, why would there still be apes today? But how did the first human become born? How did that newborn baby eat, drink, and live long enough to start fending for itself? It didn’t start as a baby, but as Adam, then Eve. Creationism, even without faith, is the undeniable truth.
But even so, how do you explain away God? What?about?God? Evolutionists say that Christians don’t have any proof of an afterlife. No scientific proof or any other kind of proof? The?Bible?says we?believe?by faith. Faith in what, they all ask. What they see is that we worship a God we can't see and a book we can't rely on? They would like a little scientific proof. They know that Christians can't?offer?scientific?proof. Well, the?words?in this book called the Bible, a book that we hold so sacred, how do we even know what it says is true? If the?Bible?is the word of God, why then was the Bible written by men? If so, then how does that make it the word of God? So, you’d be?betting?your afterlife on a book you can't explain about a God you can't prove? That’s what the liberal minds stick?with versions such as Freud’s view. But I have this to say to all non-believers, that they’re risking their eternal life by believing in that there isn’t God. I choose to believe in God and everything written in the Bible. Why? Because from the beginning, man passed down everything in the Bible from generation to generation. At first there was no way of record keeping, but eventually there was and so much of it has been found by archiologists. Eyewitness testimony proves more truth than scientific experimentation.
Dogs?change?into different mixed breeds?of dogs, but they are always dogs, and we can?breed?dogs to form new breeds, but they never turn into cats or kangaroos because they remain in the boundaries that God created?for them in the beginning. And you know that there are?layers?of assumptions used to calculate?the age of the earth?using?carbon dating, so why are they misleading our younger generations? The?earth?is not billions of?years?old. The earth?is not millions of?years?old, not even close. Man invented a way to date things (carbon dating) that they say are millions or more years old, but how accurate are those ways? It’s possible that they can date something from long ago, but what if their way of aging and/or dating something isn’t very accurate? They can date a human skull to be 2 million years old, but what if they are wrong about the length of time that is imagined is wrong, but that the skull is only 2,000 years old? There’s no exact science to the way they date things that can be proven as none of us were there in the past at that time. If God created the Big Bang and we can still see our universe expanding, even though our technology isn’t very advanced for things like that, then maybe instead of the earth being billions of years old, perhaps it is only thousands of years old. Science isn’t 100% factual. Those liberal teachings take more faith to believe in than does believing in God takes faith. We could go?outside?right?now and the?stars?can come down and form the?words?in the sky God?created?the world, and the evolutionists would?blame?it on those clever Baptists. While the ones who hold to Creation has his beliefs firmly?rooted?in the truths contained in the Bible and a personal?relationship with God who?created?everything, including them.
A college professor who was trying to prove to his class that God doesn’t exist stood up and said, “if God really does exist then let Him knock me down. After a few minutes of nothing happening the class remained quiet. He said, “I will give Him 2 more minutes.” A marine vet stood up and knocked the professor out, as he fell to the floor, then the marine vet sat back down. As the professor came to, he looked at the vet and said, “Why did you do that?” The marine said, “God was busy looking after my buddies who are still fighting for your right to say and do stupid stuff like this, so, He sent me!”
And now for the answer we’ve all been waiting for…the answer about whether the chicken or the egg came first, the?correct?answer?is, the chicken. The chicken came first! God?created?the?chicken?first, and then set it up so that life could?reproduce?itself. But which do you choose? In Genesis 1:21, “So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.”
I choose to trust, and I will?follow?Christ and wait on the hope of eternal life that He offers. May you find that same hope. So, I'll?stand?with arms high and heart filled with awe of the one who gave it all. I'll?stand?my soul Lord to you surrendered, all I am is yours. It’s God who?spoke?the earth into motion, and now my soul to stand in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. And I pray this for all of you to follow. Amen?
