INTRODUCTION:
Throughout Scripture, God continually reveals Himself as the God of all flesh—a title that affirms His supreme authority over every living being, situation, and circumstance. When God declared to Jeremiah, “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” He wasn’t merely making a statement; He was making a covenant of omnipotent intervention.
In a world filled with limitations, barriers, and impossibilities, the believer must find unshakable confidence in the truth that God rules over all—whether rich or poor, weak or strong, sick or healthy, natural or spiritual. No flesh is beyond His reach, and no circumstance is beyond His power.
Today, as we look deeper into the meaning of “God of all flesh,” we will discover how this truth brings strength to the weak, hope to the hopeless, healing to the broken, and miracles to the impossible.
1. GOD HAS SUPREME AUTHORITY OVER EVERY CREATURE
God created all things and sustains all things by His power.
a) He Is the Creator and Sustainer of All Flesh (Genesis 2:7)
Man became a living soul only after receiving breath from God.
b) He Rules Over Kings and Kingdoms (Daniel 4:17)
No flesh can rise above God’s will and counsel.
c) He Knows All People Intimately (Psalm 139:1-4)
He knows our thoughts, weaknesses, and needs before we speak.
d) His Authority Extends to the Heavens and the Earth (Psalm 24:1)
The earth and all its inhabitants belong to Him.
Biblical Example: Pharaoh of Egypt—Despite his hardness of heart, God demonstrated His power over him (Exodus 7-12).
2. GOD SPECIALISES IN DOING THE IMPOSSIBLE FOR MAN
What is impossible with man is possible with God.
a) No Situation is Too Difficult for God to Handle (Jeremiah 32:27)
He asked, “Is there anything too hard for Me?” The answer is a resounding no!
b) God Turns Hopeless Cases Around (Luke 1:37)
Elizabeth and Mary became pregnant despite all odds.
c) Human Weakness is a Platform for God’s Strength (2 Corinthians 12:9)
His grace is made perfect in our weakness.
d) God Revives What is Dead or Dying (Ezekiel 37:1-10)
Dry bones came back to life when God spoke.
Biblical Example: Sarah's barren womb—God opened her womb in old age (Genesis 21:1-2).
3. GOD DOES NOT DISCRIMINATE AMONG FLESH
All people—regardless of background or status—matter to God.
a) God Loves All Nations and All People (Acts 10:34-35)
He is no respecter of persons.
b) He Shows Mercy to Whom He Chooses (Romans 9:15-16)
His choices are sovereign and rooted in His divine wisdom.
c) He Sends Rain on the Just and Unjust (Matthew 5:45)
His general blessings extend to all humanity.
d) Salvation is Available to All Flesh (Joel 2:28)
God promises to pour His Spirit upon all flesh.
Biblical Example: The Ninevites—Though wicked, they received mercy when they repented (Jonah 3:5-10).
4. GOD INVITES ALL FLESH TO TRUST HIM
Because He is the God of all flesh, we are called to depend on Him fully.
a) Trusting in Flesh Brings Disappointment (Jeremiah 17:5-8)
Those who trust God are like trees by rivers of water.
b) God Desires a Relationship with His Creation (Isaiah 1:18)
“Come now, let us reason together,” says the Lord.
c) He Strengthens the Heart That Leans on Him (Psalm 73:26)
Even when the flesh fails, God is the strength of our heart.
d) He Works Through Faith and Surrender (Romans 4:20-21)
Abraham believed that God could do what He promised.
Biblical Example: The Centurion's servant—He trusted Jesus' authority, and a miracle happened (Matthew 8:5-13).
CONCLUSION:
God is not limited by the frailty of human flesh. He is above sickness, poverty, barrenness, weakness, sin, and death. He is the God of all flesh—meaning your background, struggle, or condition cannot disqualify you from His power.
The real question is not whether God can, but whether you believe. Because if He is truly the God of all flesh, then there is absolutely nothing too hard for Him.
So whatever your situation may be, place it before the God of all flesh today, and expect Him to move mightily on your behalf.
