We have been writing about Jesus. And our focus has been who is Jesus? what did he come for? what did he come to achieve in our world? what was is purpose here on earth? who he is and who did he come for? There are several purposes that Jesus came to do and who he actually came for. Jesus did not just come to this fallen world for himself. He came to save us from the hands of the evil one - who is called Satan or Lucifer.
He came for a specific purpose and that purpose was finally achieved by him when he was crucified over two thousand years ago now. He came to redeem us all from the hands of Satan. Satan rebelled against God in the heavens and Satan got kicked out of heaven by the angels of God when he decided to fight against God, demanding that God would leave his throne and be a servant to him, but the angels of God had to fight against his plan and kicked him to the earth, with his fallen angels that were in rebellion against God - Isaiah 14: 12 - 14 and Ezekiel 28: 12 - 18.
He was kicked out of the heavens unto the earth by the angels of God - Isaiah 14:15 and Ezekiel 28: 16 -17. And because of this we needed a Saviour that will redeem us from his hands and ways. Satan had fallen to earth and for this reason the Son of Man came to remind us of God been a Father to us all. The rebellion of Satan from the kingdom of God had made a way for us back to the kingdom of God.
We are now in the kingdom of our Father where we belonged in the first instance. We have been delivered from the evil deeds of the wicked one - who is called Lucifer or Satan or the Deceiver, he has a lot of names that we choose to use this one's as we are writing these books online.
Going back to the question that Jesus asked his disciples and us as well. Who do people say that I am? it's a question that we are all meant to ask ourselves and people that are close to us. Who is actually Jesus in our lives? Is he, our Saviour? is he, our helper? is he someone that we can trust? is he real and alive? Is he, our healer? So many questions that needs answers to them.
One thing that I need to point out about Jesus. Is the number one thing He is not a liar! the bible says in the book of Psalms 62:11 so he does not in any way lie to us his children. He simply does not and cannot lie, he is not a man that should lie, nor a human being, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not make it good? - Numbers 23:19. Once God has spoken, he makes it good. God is a Spirit - John 4:24 and we are to worship him in spirit and in truth.
Therefore, Jesus had to ask us the same question he asked his disciples. He is asking us the same question today, who do people say he is in our lives? we can confidently say he is either our healer when I need him to heal my broken body of any form of pain or disease.
Scriptures on healing
Matthew 8 :16
When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick.
Luke 4:40
When the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them.
Mark 3:10
For He healed many, so that as many as had afflictions pressed about Him to touch Him.
Acts 10 :38
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
Isaiah 53:5
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities.
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
1 Peter 2:24
Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
So therefore, we can believe for our healing, because by his stripes before he was on the cross and when he was nailed on the cross, we can believe for our healing, of course we sometimes do not get what we have asked for that does not mean that God has failed us. I was believing for my healing from a disease called Sickle Cell Disease for a long time, I was crying out every day for a long time in the most terrible pain you can ever imagine.
One day on the sick bed in the hospital I had an encounter with Jesus Christ of Nazareth. And in this encounter with the Lord I was able to talk to him and I saw Satan the fallen angel as well in the time that I spent with the Lord. I asked the Lord why Satan was so stubborn because in my own way I had being praying to God to heal me, but I had no experience of healing.
On this day that I met with the Lord I did not receive my total healing until one year after my encounter with the Lord. I remember going back to the Lord and I asked him a question. The question was why I was not healed and why was I going to the hospital more than when I was sick with the disease. In God's faithfulness he answered me.
The question he asked me was a simple question to other people but to me it was not simple. He asked me this question; Have I been reading my bible? to this I answered him No that I had not been reading my bible, I knew I could not lie, that he saw everything and knew everything about me, so my answer was No., He then said to me that this is the reason the Devil was using my mind against me, that the Devil would tell me a lie that I would believe in the lie and from there the lie of being in pain would take over my mind and before I knew what was happening I would end up being in the hospital which happened for a long time.
This went on for a long time until I personally went to the Lord to enquire about the situation and I was given the answer to the problem. You see I was already healed but did not receive my healing until the Lord in his mercy opened my ears to hear him speak about the truth of my healing.
I of course started reading my bible which I did not master within a year. It took me a long while before I started reading and mediating on the word, which is still taking me a while. I believe in reading my word and not in any way rushing the word. I must take something out of what I am reading, get to understand it and apply it to myself and then pray about what I read.
The word of God is a living word, and it can transform us as his children into Christ's image and likeness as long as we can delight ourselves in his living word then we can be free from all the lies of the enemy, who is Satan in disguise. Satan can transform himself into an angel of light - 2 Corinthians 11:14 just to deceive the elect.
Remain blessed in his presence always. Amen
