1. God is with us on the Journey
• God told Abraham Sarah to leave their country
• , "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you. 2"I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. 3I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse;
• Despite Abrahams failures and Sarah’s God remained faithful
• When God sends us, He goes with us
2. God is with us when we get off course. Exodus 13:17-22
• Israelites are free from Egypt bondage and are released but
• God was a afraid the people when faced with adversity 17When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said, "If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt."
• When we get off course God sends a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night the bible says, 21By day the LORD went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night. 22Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people
• God is patient and present even when we wander.
3. God is with us when were Joyful Luke 1:39-56
• Mary travels to see Elizabeth they were happy both having significant births
• Mary said, when she was happy “My soul magnifies the Lord”
• 48for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. 49 for the Mighty One has done great things for me--
• I rejoice because 50His mercy extends to those who fear him,
• I rejoice God has lifted up the humble. 53God has filled the hungry with good things
• God celebrates with us in our highest moments.
4. God is with us when were Lonely Luke 19:1-10
• Jesus visits Zacchaeus although he was chief tax collector he was probably very lonely
• Jesus says, “said to him, "Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today." 6So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly. Because he was so lonely
• Zacchaeus receives a companion that day 9Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. 10For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost."
• No heart is too hidden for God's attention.
5. God is with us Near and Far acts 18:1-11
• Paul had to travel he left Athens and went to Corinth
• Jews Oppose The Apostle Paul, yet Paul devoted himself exclusively to preaching, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ.A 6But when the Jews opposed Paul and became abusive, he shook out his clothes in protest and said to them, "Your blood be on your own heads! I am clear of my responsibility. From now on I will go to the Gentiles."
• 9One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: "Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. Keep going
• God’s presence spans every place and season
• Joshua 1:9Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."
