In the world that we are living nowadays, with so many evil things happening that is unimaginable we can still hold on to the fact that our God is living and real. And God is the creator of the universal and everything in it, and he is not surprised with everything that is going on. God is a Spirit and He sees all that is happening in our world today, and because he is a Spirit, he is not moved by what is happening.
God is the Alpha and Omega; He is the beginning and the end of all things. And of course, God is not the creator of evil - that is impossible! In the book of Genesis chapter 1verses 1 - 31, God saw that all He created was good and in the book of Genesis chapter 2 verses 1 - 25 after all had being made, including man God rested.
We can, therefore, see that our God is a good God and we know that no evil can come from Him.
The bible says to us that Satan is the god of this earth - 2 Corinthians 4:4. This is actually the fact of all the things that we are seeing in our world today. Satan has been made the god of the earth because of the fact that he rebelled against God in heaven - Revelation 12: 7 - 12; Isaiah 14:15; Ezekiel 28:16 -17.
Revelation 12: 7 - 12
Satan Thrown Out of Heaven
And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So, the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God Day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”
Satan lost the battle in heaven with the angels of the living God and eventually he was cast out of heaven to earth, this is why the bible says, " woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea for the devil has come down to you, having great wrath".
We see here that the god of this earth is the evil one, and we can also see that our God does not dwell with evil and our God is not a wicked God.
The world that we are in today is full of evil and the evil comes from no one else but from Satan and his fallen angels that were pushed out with him from heaven.
These scriptures confirm that:
Job 1: 6 -7
Satan Attacks Job’s Character
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. And the Lord said to Satan, “From where you come from?”
So, Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.
Isaiah 14:12 - 14
The Fall of Lucifer
How you are fallen from heaven,
O Lucifer, son of the morning!
How you are cut down to the ground,
You who weakened the nations!
For you have said in your heart:
‘I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God.
I will also sit on the mount of the congregation
On the farthest sides of the north.
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,
I will be like the Most High.
Ezekiel 28: 12 - 18
Son of man, take up a lamentation for the king of Tyre, and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord God:
“You were the seal of perfection,
Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
You were in Eden, the garden of God.
Every precious stone was your covering:
The sardius, topaz, and diamond,
Beryl, onyx, and jasper,
Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold.
The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes
Was prepared for you on the day you were created.
You were the anointed cherub who covers.
I established you.
You were on the holy mountain of God.
You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones.
You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created,
Till iniquity was found in you.
By the abundance of your trading
You became filled with violence within,
And you sinned.
Therefore, I cast you as a profane thing
Out of the mountain of God.
And I destroyed you, O covering cherub,
From the midst of the fiery stones.
Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty.
You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendour.
I cast you to the ground,
I laid you before kings,
That they might gaze at you.
You defiled your sanctuaries
By the multitude of your iniquities,
By the iniquity of your trading.
Therefore, I brought fire from your midst.
It devoured you,
And I turned you to ashes upon the earth
In the sight of all who saw you."
2 Corinthians 4:4
Whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
Ephesians 2:2
In which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience.
Unfortunately, there is so many in bondage to the lies of the enemy who is Satan himself, Satan is a fallen angel who is on earth to wreak havoc in the lives of the children of God and because so many refuse to trust in God, they are under the influence of the enemy - Ephesians 2:2; John 14: 30.
Jesus came from the Father to reveal the truth to us, and we all know how Jesus had to die for us all and that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life - John 14:6. Jesus came to give us life in abundance - John 10: 10 and His purpose is for all his children to enjoy that life, here on earth that is so full of evil.
The day Jesus appeared to me, was a turning point in my life and even healed me of a disease called Sickle cell disease and called me to work for His kingdom.
The evil we are seeing in every nation is definitely not from God's kingdom! why? because the truth is that Jesus came here on earth and died for us all. Jesus shed His Blood on the cross on that day to set His children free from all evil. Jesus cannot pour out His blood and then cause us to be in pain!
Jesus said in the book of John 19:30
John 19:30
So, when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
What exactly did Jesus mean by this? I believe it simply means that the rule of Satan the Devil in our lives is finished, only if we can trust in the finished work of Jesus and receive Him into our lives as our personal Lord and Saviour! Jesus died a horrible death to make sure that we are not ruled by Satan and to set us free from all evil. Of course, because we are children of God does not necessarily free us from evil but because we belong to him, we can through His Spirit overcome all evil.
These scriptures confirm these:
Romans 8:31 - 39
God’s Everlasting Love
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written:
For Your sake we are killed all day long.
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you.
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
John 16:33
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
James 4:7
Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
With all that is ongoing on earth, we can rest on the truth of the word of God, the word of God is the voice of God and God is not a man that should lie, nor a son of man that should repent, Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
We have a God that is all powerful and there is nothing that He cannot, If He can create us in His own and likeness, then He is able to deliver us from all evil, and He is able to deliver. We only need to ask for help - Psalm 46:1; Psalm 121:2; Genesis 49:25; Isaiah 50:7; Hebrews 13:6; and 2 Corinthians 6:2.
How do we ask for help.?
The word of God says in John 3:16 that we are to accept the gift of salvation in the following scriptures:
Ephesians 2:8 - 9
For by grace, you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Acts 4:12
Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
1 Timothy 1:15
This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.
Titus 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit.
The gift of Salvation is for everyone, and it's not too late or too early to accept our Saviour into our lives, and because of the love that God has towards us, we can never be rejected when we come boldly to his presence - Hebrews 4:16. In his presence we can be saved and changed. God loves us so much he gave us His Only Begotten Son to die in our place. Do not let go of this promise but believe that he that saved is also able to save us from all the calamities that is happening all over the world.
God loves us all so much and the best gift we can give back to Him is to believe in his Son and be saved.
Be blessed in His presence always. Amen
