Summary: Expectation is the active ingredient of faith that is deposited into the heart when the word of God is heard and believed. There is no such thing as a living faith without expectation.

Numbers 13:1-3 KJV And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, [2] Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among them. [3] And Moses by the commandment of the LORD sent them from the wilderness of Paran: all those men were heads of the children of Israel.

Numbers 13:17-21,23 KJV And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said unto them, Get you up this way southward, and go up into the mountain: [18] And see the land, what it is; and the people that dwelleth therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many; [19] And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad; and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds; [20] And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the firstripe grapes. [21] So they went up, and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, as men come to Hamath. [23] And they came unto the brook of Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two upon a staff; and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs.

What did you expect? Have you ever heard that phrase? It usually comes right after you've done something stupid, and you got an undesirable result.

Like you stuck your finger in a light socket and got shocked. And then you looked at mom with this stupid look on your face like, why did that happen to me. And she said well dummy, what did you expect?

I don't know about you but I had that kind of mother, she would let me stick my finger in the light socket so I could learn that that wasn't a good idea. And I would know what to expect the next time.

I know that's kind of funny, But not real funny if you're the one with your finger in the light socket.

But this is the title the lord gave me for this message what do you expect?

Expectation is no small thing. Expectation is like those 12 Spies that went out into the Promised Land to spy out the land, and bring back fruit from the land.

Expectation is like that, expectation goes before every promise, every healing, every miracle, every breakthrough, every deliverance.

Expectation is seeing with the eyes of the heart, and tasting by the spirit, what is not yet been seen, what is not yet been heard, what is not yet been felt.

Expectation is like the "invisible spys" that invade the Land of the Giants, and taste the fruit of promise while it's still in the land of the giants.

In other words your expectation touches it in the future before it manifests in your today.

Expectation travels into the future, and comes back with the good report... God's word is true. It's all there, righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Signs and wonders, miracles, and gifts of the Spirit.

??Expectation is the breeding ground for miracles.

??Expectation is the platform or Miracles are launched from.

??Expectation is the posture for receiving from God.

??Expectation is the active ingredient a faith.

??There is no such Thing as faith without expectation.

??Expectation is like the landing strip for the plane to land.

??Expectation is to be pregnant with the promise.

You may have heard a word for years with no expectation of it ever coming to pass...

??But the moment you begin to expect you are pregnant with the promise.

??Expectation creates focus. And focus releases energy to bring things to pass.

You can't expect everything at the same time, but when you begin to expect with focus, that's when energy to produce is released.

??Expectation is the doorway that miracles enter through.

The Bible says faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. When we hear the word of God proclaimed, and it is received, it plants the seed of belief and expectation in our hearts.

Expectation is not merely an attitude that you carry in your heart. Expectation manifest itself through corresponding action.

When parents are expecting, it begins to manifest... they start thinking about names for the child. They start buying things for the nursery. They start making preparations to receive what they're expecting.

Before Jesus fed the multitudes he had them sit down in companies of 50. Why did he do that?

You can say it was about order, and about making it easier to get to crowds with the food. I won't disagree with that, but I believe also that it was to create an expectation in their hearts to receive the miracle.

Proverbs 10:24 KJV says, The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the "desire" of the righteous shall be granted.

Proverbs 10:24 TPT -says, The lawless are haunted by their fears and what they dread will come upon them, but the "longings" of the lovers of God will all be fulfilled.

The longings, the desire, the expectation, of the righteous shall be granted.

Where do we get our expectation from? Two sources, we can either get our expectation from what we see what we hear what we feel in our natural physical circumstances or, our expectations will come from what the word of God says.

You have to choose. What are you going to look at? What are you going to listen to?

Isaiah 53:1 the prophet asks the question, who hath believed our report, or whose report will you believe, and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?

The first part of that question is about where you're getting your information from, because what you continually hear, you will eventually believe.

That's why you have to guard your ear Gates and your eye Gates.

You have to choose what you're going to set your affection and your attention on.

Colossians 3 says, "set" your affection on things above, and not on things of the Earth for ye are dead and your life is hid with Christ in God.

—To set means to establish, to fix, to settle, to determine, to decide.

—Affection means your attention, your focus, your interest, and your desire.

Then Isaiah finishes that verse... And to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?

The answer to that is very clear, the one to whom the arm of the Lord is revealed is the one who has chosen to set their affection, their love, their desire, their focus and their attention up on things above and not on things of the Earth.

??Expectation creates energy. Where there is no expectation there is no energy. There's no stretch, there's no reach, there's no effort, there's no press.

??But where there is expectation, there's energy.

??Where there's expectation there is reaching.

??Where there's expectation there is preparation.

??Where there is expectation there is intention.

??Where there is expectation there is stretching.

??Where there is expectation there are corresponding actions.

??Where there's expectation there's a bold confession.

??True expectation always has a bold confession, because expectation expresses itself in a confession of faith.

What you expect you think about, what you expect, you dream about, and what you expect you talk about.

When You're Expecting you walk different, you eat different, you think different, you talk different. You don't fit in what you used to fit in. You don't fit with what you used to fit with.

I'm talking spiritual now. If your expecting, you change your lifestyle. If you smoked you quit smoking, if you lied you quit lying, if you fornicated you quit fornicating. If you drank you quit drinking. If you did pornography you quit.

Because you're carrying a promise, you're pregnant with Jesus. He's on the inside, and he's changing your desires, he's changing your appetites.

You don't go where you used to go. You don't do what you used to do. You don't listen to what you used to listen to.

Because you're nurturing a life, a new life. It's the Christ life.

It's Christ in you the hope of glory.

It's Christ in you, and it's creating the hope and the expectation of every good thing that he's prepared for you.

Don't tell me you're carrying Christ in you, and you still drink, and you still smoke dope, and you still hit your wife or your kids, or you still watch pornography, or you still do drugs.

If you've got Christ in you, he's creating something in you. He's creating a new creature.

This is why you have guard your eye gates. What you look at creates expectation, and expectation creates energy to produce.

Psalms 101:3 David said... I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes. Because David knew that what comes in through the eyes goes to the heart.

One of the greatest revelation of this principle is found in Genesis when Jacob wanted his sheep and cattle and goats to produce speckled and ringstraked offspring.

Here's what the Bible says...Genesis 30:37-39 KJV And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and of the hazel and chesnut tree; and pilled white strakes in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods. [38] And he set the rods which he had pilled before the flocks in the gutters in the watering troughs when the flocks came to drink, that they should conceive when they came to drink. [39] And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought forth cattle ringstraked, speckled, and spotted.

So this is what happened. When the flocks came to drink, they stared in the water at those rods that been pilled white and had strakes in them, and they conceived after the nature of what they were looking at.

This is why you have to keep the word in front of your eyes. Because what you continually look at, you will conceive. And it's what you conceive that creates the power and the energy to give birth.

So don't look at, and listen to, anything that you don't want to give birth to.

I am preaching today to create an expectation in you, because if I can get an expectation in you, I know there will be a manifestation.

This is how it works...

??Proclamation produces... expectation.

??Expectation produces... preparation.

??Preparation produces... manifestation.

??Manifestation produces demonstration.

If you listen to the negative reports around you, you will be filled with worry, stress, anxiety, fearfulness, and paranoia.

... You will expect social security and medicare to dissapear. You will expect a depression. You will expect financial collapse of our money system. You will believe that our country is being destroyed. You'll walk in around in survival mode all the time.

But if that's you, I need to tell you something... You've been drinking from the wrong water trough.

You've been staring at the wrong things. You should be staring into the word of God. You should cut off CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, The View Etc. And start listening to, and looking at the word of God.

And if you'll start staring into the Word of God, you'll get pregnant with the promises of God, and you won't walk around with a tin foil hat on your head, worried about what the devil's doing. You'll start walking around with your head up, and your shoulders back, with a song on your lips, and a pep in your step. You won't be moaning the blues, and singing gloom despair and agony on me. You'll walking around singing... Praise him, praise him, ,victory is mine, victory is mine, and I'm living on the hallelujah side.

Friend, I don't know what you're expecting but I'm going to give you a peek into what I'm expecting...

I'm expecting to win.

I'm expecting everything I put my hands to to prosper.

I'm expecting the best days of my life.

I'm expecting to walk in righteousness peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.

I'm expecting miracles, signs, and wonders, and the gifts of the Holy Ghost.

I'm expecting to prosper financially.

I'm expecting supernatural health.

I'm expecting my prodigals to come home.

I'm expecting a great harvest of souls.

I'm expecting a greater anointing than ever before.

I'm expecting to lay my hands on the sick and see them recover.

I'm expecting to see you rise up in the spirit, and take back what the devil has stolen from you.

I'm expecting our church to grow.

I'm expecting hungry and thirsty people to come and be filled.

I'm expecting that every person who walks through those doors will have personal encounter with the presence and power of God.

I'm expecting that while I'm preaching miracles will be happening. While I'm preaching the power of God will be falling on you. While I'm preaching sickness and diseases will shrivel up and die.

I'm expecting every person who calls this church home, will be baptized with the Holy Ghost and fire.

Tell your neighbor, I'm expecting.

I'm expecting an answer to every prayer I pray.

I'm expecting to make the devil pay for everything he has put me through.

I'm expecting that every plot, scheme, or assignment that hell has invented will be turned around, come back on the devil, and everything that he has tried to do is going to work out for my good.

Tell your other neighbor... I'm expecting, it could happen any minute.

Any minute now I could give birth to my miracle. I can feel it moving around in my belly. I feel it pushing to get out.

I feel like God sent me to this pulpit today to help some people push out their promise.

You've been pregnant a long time, but you need to get past expection to manifestion.

Who am I talking to today, who is ready for manifestation?

I heard the story about this town that was in the middle of a heat wave and a terrible drought, there hadn't been any rain for a long time, all the rivers and streams were dried up, and all the crops had withered and died. All the city officials and spiritual leaders decided to call a town prayer meeting in the town Square. Hundreds of people came to pray for rain. But one little boy came with an umbrella.

Hundreds of people showed up to pray for rain, but really only one little boy expected it to rain.

It happens every Sunday across the country, thousands of people show up to pray, to sing, and seek the Lord... but I wonder, how many really come expecting God to manifest himself, and manifest his presence, and his power?

I want to be that one. That one that not only prays, and not only, seeks, but that one that makes preparation for manifestation.

I heard about a man who came to a healing service, he had club feet and they couldn't put shoes on his feet. But when he came to the service he brought a brand new pair of tennis shoes, and he got healed and he wore them home.

Expectation makes preparation for manifestation.

If you're ready to move from expectation to manifestation shout yes.
