INTRODUCTION:

There are moments in life when we feel like we are lagging behind, unable to keep up with the pace of our dreams, our goals, or our assignments. We look around and see others moving ahead, while we feel stuck in place. In such times, we need the supernatural speed that only God can provide to propel us forward. The Bible tells us that when the hand of the Lord comes upon a person, they can do the impossible, achieving things they could never do in their own strength.

The story of Elijah running before Ahab to Jezreel after the great victory on Mount Carmel serves as a powerful reminder of how God's supernatural speed can catapult us into our destiny. With divine speed, Elijah outran the king's chariot, showing that when God's hand is upon us, we can accomplish extraordinary feats. The speed on Elijah’s feet wasn’t just physical; it was divine enablement for him to fulfill the assignment that God had given him.

In this study, we will explore how God can place supernatural speed on our feet, enabling us to move faster in our calling, ministry, career, and any area where we need acceleration. God's hand upon us makes the impossible possible, and we can run and not grow weary. The speed on our feet will cause us to overcome obstacles, break through delays, and run toward the destiny that God has prepared for us.

1. THE HAND OF THE LORD BRINGS SUPERNATURAL SPEED

The key to experiencing divine speed is to have God's hand upon our lives.

a) God’s Hand on Us Makes the Impossible Possible

When God’s hand rests on us, we are empowered to do beyond our natural capabilities (1 Kings 18:46).

b) Supernatural Strength and Endurance

With God’s hand upon us, we receive strength to accomplish tasks that would otherwise be exhausting (Isaiah 40:31).

c) God Accelerates Our Progress

The hand of the Lord accelerates our progress, causing us to move forward faster than we could have imagined (Psalm 18:29).

d) Overcoming Natural Limits

Just like Elijah outran Ahab’s chariot, we too can surpass natural limitations when God empowers us (2 Samuel 22:30).

Biblical Example: Elijah outrunning Ahab’s chariot is a direct result of God’s supernatural hand empowering him to move faster than humanly possible (1 Kings 18:46).

2. DIVINE SPEED IN FULFILLING OUR CALLING

God has a unique plan for each of us, and supernatural speed helps us fulfill it.

a) Accelerating Our Destiny

When God's hand is upon our life, He accelerates the fulfillment of His purpose in us (Habakkuk 3:19).

b) Pursuing Our Purpose with Passion

Divine speed helps us pursue our God-given purpose with passion, not dragging our feet (Philippians 3:13-14).

c) Rushing Toward Your Purpose

With divine speed, we can make up for lost time and press on toward the goal (Isaiah 40:31).

d) No More Delay in Your Assignment

Divine speed removes delays and brings us closer to the completion of our assignment (1 Thessalonians 5:24).

Biblical Example: The apostle Paul’s ministry advanced quickly as he ran his race with divine purpose and speed (Philippians 3:13-14).

3. DIVINE STRENGTH TO RUN AND NOT GROW WEARY

One of the key aspects of supernatural speed is that it comes with divine strength, ensuring we do not grow weary.

a) Strength for the Journey

When God gives us speed, He also provides the strength to keep going without burning out (Isaiah 40:31).

b) God’s Strength in Our Weakness

Even when we feel weak, God’s strength empowers us to run without weariness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

c) Endurance to Finish the Race

Divine speed comes with endurance to finish the race set before us (Hebrews 12:1).

d) Supernatural Renewal

God’s supernatural strength renews us and makes us able to run at a pace we couldn’t naturally sustain (Psalm 103:5).

Biblical Example: The prophet Elijah, after a long day of ministry, received supernatural strength to outrun Ahab’s chariot (1 Kings 18:46).

4. RUNNING WITH VISION AND DIRECTION

Divine speed is not aimless; it is always coupled with clear vision and direction.

a) God Directs Our Steps

God’s speed is effective when we are walking in His divine plan, knowing where we are headed (Proverbs 3:5-6).

b) Clarity in Our Pursuits

Divine speed allows us to make rapid progress in our pursuits without confusion (James 1:5).

c) Moving in the Right Direction

When we follow God’s guidance, divine speed brings us to the right place at the right time (Psalm 37:23).

d) Clear Focus in the Journey

With divine speed, we move with focus and purpose, not distracted by the challenges along the way (Hebrews 12:2).

Biblical Example: The Apostle Paul, who was led by the Holy Spirit, moved swiftly to fulfill God’s will despite the challenges (Acts 13:4-12).

5. THE ROLE OF OBEDIENCE IN EXPERIENCING DIVINE SPEED

Obedience to God's word unlocks divine speed in our lives.

a) Obedience Releases God’s Power

When we obey God’s instructions, we tap into His divine speed to accomplish His will (Isaiah 1:19).

b) Obeying Without Hesitation

Prompt obedience to God’s voice accelerates the progress in our lives (John 2:5).

c) God’s Direction Through Obedience

Obeying God’s will leads to a clear path and divine acceleration in fulfilling our purpose (Luke 5:4-6).

d) Breaking Through Delays

Disobedience causes delays, but obedience leads to divine speed and breakthrough (Deuteronomy 28:2).

Biblical Example: The disciples experienced divine speed when they obeyed Jesus’ instructions to cast their nets on the other side (John 21:6).

CONCLUSION:

God desires for us to move at His pace, which is always faster and more efficient than our own. When His hand is upon us, He accelerates our progress, giving us the strength and endurance to run and not grow weary. No matter what challenges you are facing, divine speed is available to you. The key is to align with God’s will, trust in His timing, and remain obedient to His voice. As you experience God’s supernatural speed, you will find yourself advancing quicker than ever before.
