Sermon Title: "He Got Up... So You Can Too!"
Scripture Text: Matthew 28:5-7 (NKJV) "But the angel answered and said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him.’"
Introduction
Today is not just another Sunday. It is Resurrection Sunday—the day death bowed, hell trembled, and the grave lost its grip!
We don’t serve a dead Savior; we serve a risen King! The resurrection of Jesus is not just a historical event—it is a present reality and a personal revelation.
Declaration: "Because He got up, I’m getting up!"
Main Body
1. The Resurrection is the Power of Our Comeback
Jesus was buried in weakness but raised in power. Sometimes life will crucify your dreams, bury your hopes, and seal the tomb with impossibilities. But the same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you (Romans 8:11)!
Greek Word Insight: "Anastasis" – means "a rising up, a standing again."
You may have fallen, but today, God says: "Stand again!"
Declaration: You’re not staying in that tomb of depression, failure, or fear. Resurrection is your portion!
2. The Resurrection Confirms God’s Word Never Fails
Jesus said in John 2:19, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up."
On Friday, it looked like He failed. On Saturday, it looked like silence. But on Sunday—God's Word stood tall!
God is not a man that He should lie. What He promised will come to pass.
Quote: "When man says, ‘It’s over,’ God says, ‘I’m just getting started.’"
3. The Resurrection Unlocks Purpose and Power
When Jesus rose, He didn’t just rise for Himself—He rose with you in mind!
Ephesians 2:6 – "And raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus."
The resurrection rewrites your identity. You are no longer a victim—you are victorious.
Revelation: The empty tomb is not a place of death—it’s proof of destiny!
4. The Resurrection Releases You from the Past
The stone wasn’t rolled away so Jesus could come out—but so the world could see in!
The grave clothes were left behind—He didn’t need them anymore.
Likewise, leave your grave clothes behind—guilt, shame, condemnation.
Prophetic Declaration: Your past is not your prison; it’s just the place you passed through.
Conclusion: Step Out of the Tomb
Today, Jesus calls your name like He did with Lazarus: "Come forth!"
Come out of fear. Come out of addiction. Come out of mediocrity. Come into resurrection life!
Key Verse: John 11:25 – "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live."
Final Charge: If Jesus got up, you can rise from:
A broken heart
A failed business
A shattered family
A lost purpose
Slogan to Declare: "He got up… and so will I!"
Call to Action:
If you're not saved, receive this resurrection power by accepting Jesus.
If you're weary, receive fresh strength today.
If you're lost, God is finding you today with resurrection love.

"Lord Jesus, thank You for conquering death and rising with all power. Today, I rise with You. I leave behind my past and step into the newness of life. Let the same power that raised You up, raise me up to walk in destiny, boldness, and freedom. Amen."
