INTRODUCTION:

One of the greatest revelations in scripture is that God does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called. The God we serve is not a respecter of persons. He does not choose based on education, background, social status, or eloquence. He looks at the heart.

If you think you are too small for God to use, then you are exactly who God is looking for. God can use anybody. If He can use a donkey to speak, He can use you. If He can use a fisherman to lead the early church, He can use you.

1.    GOD DOES NOT CHOOSE LIKE MEN DO

a) Men look at the outward, God looks inward. (1 Samuel 16:7)

While Samuel was looking at Eliab, God had chosen David.

b) Your background is not a barrier to God.

David was forgotten by his own father, but remembered by God.

c) God chooses the weak to confound the strong (1 Corinthians 1:27).

He delights in using the foolish things to shame the wise.

d) Your availability is more important than your ability.

God is looking for a yielded vessel, not a perfect one.

e) Biblical Example: David – a shepherd boy became a king because he had a heart for God.

2.    GOD CAN USE YOUR WEAKNESS FOR HIS GLORY

a) God told Paul – My strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Your weakness is not a disqualification, it’s an opportunity for God's power to show.

b) God used Moses, despite his speech problem (Exodus 4:10-12).

He said, "I am slow of tongue", but God said, "I will be with your mouth."

c) Your excuse is not an exemption.

God does not accept excuses; He empowers you instead.

d) God specialises in rewriting stories.

The same Moses who ran from Egypt returned as a deliverer.

e) Biblical Example: Moses – from a stammering fugitive to the deliverer of Israel.

3.    GOD CAN USE THE MOST UNLIKELY PEOPLE

a) God used Rahab, a harlot, to preserve His people (Joshua 2:1-21).

She became part of the lineage of Jesus.

b) God used a Samaritan woman to evangelise a whole city (John 4:7-30).

People whom society rejects, God often selects.

c) God used lepers to bring good news (2 Kings 7:3-11).

While the king was panicking, God used the outcasts.

d) God used Balaam’s donkey to speak His message (Numbers 22:28-30).

If God can use an animal, how much more you?

e) Biblical Example: The woman at the well – an immoral woman turned into a city-wide evangelist.

4.    GOD CAN USE YOU NOW—IF YOU’RE WILLING

a) The harvest is plenty, but the labourers are few (Matthew 9:37-38).

God is still looking for vessels today.

b) Your past is not a disqualification.

Paul was a persecutor, yet became the greatest apostle (Acts 9:1-15).

c) All God needs is your “yes”.

When you surrender, He empowers.

d) God is searching hearts, not titles.

It’s not about being a pastor, it’s about being available.

e) Biblical Example: Saul of Tarsus – from a persecutor of the church to a preacher of the Gospel.

CONCLUSION:

Beloved, the message is clear: God can use anybody. He is not limited by your past, your flaws, or your background. The only thing that can stop God from using you—is you. If you say “Here I am, Lord, use me,” He will fill you with His power.

ALTAR CALL:

You cannot be used by God unless you first surrender your life to Him. The first step is salvation. If you’re not born again, or you have backslidden, now is the time to come. Say: “Lord Jesus, I give You my life. Use me for Your glory.”

PRAYER POINTS:

1.  Father, thank You for choosing people like me.

2.  Lord, forgive me for every excuse I’ve made.

3.   Father, use me for Your glory—despite my weakness.

4.   Let the Holy Spirit fill me afresh for divine assignment.

5.   O Lord, make me a vessel of honour in Your hand.

6.   Break every limitation holding me back from being used.

7.   Use me to bring revival to my generation.

8.   Father, rewrite my story and let it glorify You.

9.   Let my past be a platform for Your testimony.

10.  Father, in my lifetime, let it be known that You used me.
