?? “Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth. Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance; knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me. Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.”

1. As I thought about what to preach here today I wanted to preach a real good message knowing this was the first service of your revival but as I tried to put together an exceptional message the Lord reminded me of a couple of conversations I had with people over the years and a couple of quotes that I’ve heard as well
2. First Rev. Elmer Hurles told me if I stay at a place long enough I will preach the same message multiple times and some might even get tired of hearing it!!
3. Second Rev. Johnathon Morgan told me that throughout my ministry there will come a time when I will want to try to come up with some new thought that has never been thought before some new message that has never been preached but to resist that desire because it’s simply not possible
4. Third Someone long ago said “If it’s new it’s not true and if it’s true it’s not new”
5. Fourth Richard Baxter who was an early English church leader, poet, hymn-writer, theologian, and preacher he Had a Goal in His Preaching He said that “he wanted to preach every sermon as if he’d never preach again and as a dying man to a dying people”
6. Then Peter in these 4 verses I read said 3 times I want to bring you into remembrance!!….
7. So with all of that being said what I want to try to do today is I want to at least one more time preach that same message that I’ve preached so many times before to tell that same old old story that I have told so many times before but this time I want to with the help of the Holy Spirit do so with the urgency as if it’s the last time I will ever get to do so but also with the same passion that I had the first time I ever had the privilege of doing so with that being said let’s bow are heads and close are eyes before we get started
