INTRODUCTION:

One of the most comforting truths in the Bible is that Jesus knows everything about us. He knows our struggles, our pains, our needs, and our deepest desires. Unlike people who may misunderstand or judge us, Jesus understands perfectly.

Nothing is hidden from Him—our past, present, and future. He knows our weaknesses, our battles, and our victories. Because He knows, He also cares, guides, and intervenes at the right time.

In this sermon, we will explore five key areas where Jesus demonstrates His divine knowledge: He knows our struggles, our needs, our hearts, our future, and our faithfulness.

1. JESUS KNOWS OUR STRUGGLES

Every challenge and hardship we face is known to Jesus, and He cares about us.

a) He understands our pain (Hebrews 4:15)

Jesus has experienced sorrow, rejection, and suffering.

b) He knows our battles with temptation (1 Corinthians 10:13)

He provides a way out of every trial.

c) He is aware of our afflictions (Psalm 34:19)

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Jesus delivers them all.

d) He sees every tear and hears every cry (Exodus 3:7)

God told Moses He had seen the affliction of His people.

e) Biblical Example: Jesus and the Woman at the Well (John 4:16-19)

Jesus knew her past and present struggles and still offered her living water.

2. JESUS KNOWS OUR NEEDS

Before we even pray, Jesus knows exactly what we need.

a) He knows what we need before we ask (Matthew 6:8)

Our prayers are heard by a God who already knows.

b) He provides for His own (Philippians 4:19)

He supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory.

c) He understands the desires of our hearts (Psalm 37:4)

When we delight in Him, He grants our heart’s desires.

d) He is never late in meeting our needs (John 11:21-23)

Even when it seems delayed, Jesus' timing is perfect.

e) Biblical Example: Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand (John 6:5-13)

He knew their hunger and miraculously provided food.

3. JESUS KNOWS OUR HEARTS

Jesus sees beyond outward appearances and understands our innermost thoughts.

a) He knows what is in man (John 2:24-25)

No one needs to tell Him about people; He knows all.

b) He searches the heart and mind (Jeremiah 17:10)

Nothing is hidden from Him.

c) He knows our true motives (1 Samuel 16:7)

God looks at the heart, not outward appearances.

d) He discerns our faith and doubts (Luke 5:22)

Jesus perceives the thoughts of men.

e) Biblical Example: Jesus and Nathanael (John 1:47-49)

Jesus knew Nathanael’s character and won his faith.

4. JESUS KNOWS OUR FUTURE

Our tomorrow is secure in the hands of Jesus because He already knows it.

a) He knows the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10)

Nothing takes Him by surprise.

b) He has good plans for us (Jeremiah 29:11)

His plans are for our welfare, not harm.

c) He orders the steps of the righteous (Psalm 37:23)

Every step we take is directed by Him.

d) He goes before us into the future (Deuteronomy 31:8)

Jesus prepares the way ahead of us.

e) Biblical Example: Jesus Predicts Peter’s Future (John 21:18-19)

Jesus knew Peter’s future service and destiny.

5. JESUS KNOWS OUR FAITHFULNESS

He sees and rewards those who are faithful to Him.

a) He sees our labour of love (Hebrews 6:10)

No good work goes unnoticed.

b) He knows those who are His (2 Timothy 2:19)

Jesus recognises His true followers.

c) He will reward every sacrifice (Matthew 19:29)

Those who serve Him will receive a great reward.

d) He honours those who remain steadfast (Revelation 2:10)

Faithfulness to the end brings a crown of life.

e) Biblical Example: Jesus Commends the Church in Smyrna (Revelation 2:8-11)

He knew their tribulation and promised them a crown.

CONCLUSION:

Nothing is hidden from Jesus—our struggles, needs, thoughts, future, and faithfulness. His knowledge is not just for awareness but for intervention. Because He knows, He is able to help, guide, and reward us accordingly.

Let this truth bring comfort and confidence: you are never alone, misunderstood, or forgotten. Jesus knows everything about you, and He is working all things together for your good.
