INTRODUCTION:

Restoration is one of the key promises of God to His children. Throughout the Bible, we see how God restores what was lost, stolen, or destroyed. Jesus, as the Restorer, came to bring back everything the enemy had taken away.

Many people have lost valuable things in life—health, peace, joy, finances, opportunities, and even their spiritual fire. The devil is a thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus has come that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10).

No matter what you have lost, Jesus can restore it. His power is not limited by time, situation, or circumstances. When He restores, He does it completely and abundantly.

1. JESUS RESTORES LOST GLORY

Glory represents honour, favour, and divine presence. When sin, disobedience, or attacks of the enemy cause a person to lose their glory, Jesus can restore it.

a) God’s plan is for His people to walk in glory (Isaiah 60:1)

Arise and shine, for your light has come!

b) Sin leads to the loss of glory (Romans 3:23)

All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

c) Jesus restores our glory through salvation (Colossians 1:27)

Christ in you, the hope of glory!

d) God will give double for shame (Isaiah 61:7)

Instead of shame, you shall have double honour.

e) Biblical Example: The Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-24)

He lost everything but was fully restored when he returned to his father.

2. JESUS RESTORES HEALTH AND STRENGTH

Sickness and affliction are not God's will for His children. Jesus is the Great Physician who can restore health according to His will.

a) God’s will is for you to be healthy (3 John 2)

He desires that you prosper in health as your soul prospers.

b) Jesus can heal all diseases (Matthew 8:16-17)

He took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.

c) Restoration comes through faith (Mark 5:34)

Your faith has made you whole!

d) God will restore strength to the weak (Isaiah 40:31)

Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.

e) Biblical Example: The Healing of Job (Job 42:10)

God restored his health and gave him twice as much as before.

3. JESUS RESTORES JOY AND PEACE

Many people live in sorrow, depression, and anxiety, but Jesus gives lasting joy and peace.

a) God wants His children to live in joy (Psalm 16:11)

In His presence, there is fullness of joy.

b) The enemy tries to steal joy and peace (John 10:10)

The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy.

c) Jesus gives peace that the world cannot give (John 14:27)

My peace I give to you, not as the world gives.

d) Weeping is temporary, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5)

Sorrow is not permanent for God's people.

e) Biblical Example: Hannah’s Joy Restored (1 Samuel 1:9-20)

She wept for years, but God restored her joy by giving her a son.

4. JESUS RESTORES LOST YEARS AND OPPORTUNITIES

Many people regret wasted years, but Jesus can restore what has been lost.

a) God can redeem lost time (Ephesians 5:16)

Redeeming the time, for the days are evil.

b) Jesus gives new beginnings (Isaiah 43:18-19)

Forget the former things; I am doing a new thing.

c) Restoration comes with greater blessings (Job 42:12)

The latter days of Job were better than the former.

d) God can restore wasted efforts (Luke 5:4-6)

Peter toiled all night but caught nothing until Jesus intervened.

e) Biblical Example: Joseph’s Destiny Restored (Genesis 41:39-44)

He lost many years in slavery and prison, but God restored him to greatness.

5. JESUS RESTORES SPIRITUAL FIRE AND COMMITMENT

When people grow cold spiritually, Jesus can restore their passion for God.

a) God wants us to be spiritually fervent (Romans 12:11)

Be fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.

b) Sin and distractions cause spiritual decline (Revelation 2:4)

You have left your first love.

c) Jesus restores those who repent (Acts 3:19)

Repent and be converted, that times of refreshing may come.

d) The Holy Spirit renews our zeal (Titus 3:5)

He renews us by His Spirit.

e) Biblical Example: Peter’s Spiritual Restoration (John 21:15-19)

After denying Jesus, Peter was restored and became a great apostle.

CONCLUSION:

Jesus is the ultimate Restorer. Whether it is lost glory, health, joy, time, or spiritual fire, He can restore it completely. Nothing is too damaged for Jesus to fix.

If you have lost anything, take heart! Jesus is willing and able to restore you. Trust in Him, walk in faith, and expect divine restoration in every area of your life.
