OVERCOMING THE BARRIERS TO DESTINY HELP

Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmaelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content.
Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit and sold Joseph to the Ishmaelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt."

INTRODUCTION
Destiny helpers are God-ordained individuals sent to aid, guide, and elevate us towards the fulfilment of His purpose for our lives. They come in different forms—mentors, encouragers, intercessors, or even financiers. However, many people fail to access their destiny helpers due to barriers that block these divine connections.
These barriers can be spiritual, attitudinal, or circumstantial. Just like Joseph, whose brothers became an obstacle to his destiny by selling him into slavery, many face opposition on their journey to greatness. Yet, despite these obstacles, God can break every hindrance and bring His plan to pass.
This message will expose some of the barriers that hinder destiny help and provide biblical strategies to overcome them. May the Lord open our eyes and give us wisdom to break every limitation standing in the way of our divine helpers.
1. SPIRITUAL OPPOSITION TO DESTINY HELP
The enemy understands the power of divine connections and often fights to hinder them.
a) Satanic Delays and Manipulations – Demonic forces can block the paths of destiny helpers (Daniel 10:12-13).
b) Evil Covenants and Curses – Some people are operating under generational limitations that repel their helpers (Lamentations 5:7).
c) Spirit of Rejection – Some individuals face continuous rejection, even from those assigned to help them (Judges 11:1-3).
d) Household Wickedness – Family members, like Joseph’s brothers, can be the biggest hindrance to destiny help (Genesis 37:19-20).
e) Biblical Example: Daniel – The prince of Persia resisted Daniel’s divine help, but persistent prayer broke the barrier (Daniel 10:12-13).
2. WRONG ATTITUDES THAT REPEL DESTINY HELPERS
Sometimes, the problem is not external but within. Certain attitudes can drive away God-sent helpers.
a) Pride and Arrogance – A proud heart rejects help and believes it can succeed alone (Proverbs 16:18).
b) Ingratitude – Failing to appreciate small help can shut the door to greater assistance (Luke 17:11-19).
c) Impatience and Desperation – Destiny helpers often come in God’s timing; impatience can lead to wrong associations (Genesis 16:1-4).
d) Lack of Teachability – Some people resist correction and mentorship, losing valuable relationships (Proverbs 1:5).
e) Biblical Example: Nabal – Nabal’s arrogance and lack of gratitude cost him divine help and his life (1 Samuel 25:10-38).
3. ENVIRONMENTAL AND CIRCUMSTANTIAL BARRIERS
Certain life situations can make it difficult for destiny helpers to locate us.
a) Wrong Associations – Keeping the wrong company can drive away your divine helpers (1 Corinthians 15:33).
b) Being in the Wrong Place – Some people miss their helpers because they are not where God wants them to be (Ruth 1:6-16).
c) Lack of Visibility – If you are not actively doing what God has called you to do, helpers may not notice you (1 Samuel 16:11-12).
d) Negative Words and Confessions – Speaking failure and negativity can repel helpers (Numbers 14:28).
e) Biblical Example: Bartimaeus – He overcame societal opposition and called on Jesus despite discouragement (Mark 10:46-52).
4. FAILURE TO DISCERN AND HONOUR DESTINY HELPERS
Many have met their destiny helpers but failed to recognise them, missing out on divine opportunities.
a) Helpers Don’t Always Look Like Helpers – The Good Samaritan was a stranger, yet he helped where others ignored (Luke 10:33-35).
b) Some Helpers Come as Tests – God sometimes sends helpers in disguise to test our response (Hebrews 13:2).
c) Lack of Honour Towards Helpers – Dishonour can cause a destiny helper to withdraw (Matthew 13:57-58).
d) Over-Familiarity with Destiny Helpers – Familiarity breeds contempt and can close doors of opportunity (Mark 6:3-5).
e) Biblical Example: Elijah and the Widow – The widow of Zarephath recognised Elijah and received supernatural provision (1 Kings 17:8-16).
5. OVERCOMING BARRIERS AND ATTRACTING DESTINY HELPERS
Breaking the limitations that hinder divine help requires intentional spiritual and practical actions.
a) Pray for Divine Connection – Prayer opens doors for destiny helpers to locate you (Psalm 121:1-2).
b) Deal with Spiritual Hindrances – Deliverance from generational barriers and satanic resistance is necessary (Isaiah 10:27).
c) Develop a Christlike Character – Humility, gratitude, and service attract divine helpers (Philippians 2:3-4).
d) Position Yourself for Divine Encounters – Stay where God has placed you, and remain faithful in your assignment (1 Kings 19:19-21).
e) Biblical Example: Ruth and Boaz – Ruth positioned herself strategically and received divine help through Boaz (Ruth 2:8-10).
CONCLUSION
Destiny helpers are essential for fulfilling God’s purpose, but various barriers can hinder these divine connections. Spiritual opposition, personal attitudes, environmental factors, and failure to discern helpers are some of the major obstacles.
To overcome these barriers, we must engage in prayer, cultivate a godly character, be sensitive to divine timing, and honour those whom God sends our way. May the Lord open our eyes to see, receive, and embrace our destiny helpers in Jesus' name!
PRAYER POINTS
1. Father, every satanic barrier preventing my destiny helpers from locating me, be removed in Jesus' name!
2. Lord, deliver me from every wrong attitude that is driving away my divine connections.
3. Father, open my eyes to recognise my destiny helpers and give me the wisdom to embrace them.
4. Lord, reposition me in the right place at the right time to meet those You have assigned to help me.
5. Every evil manipulation delaying my breakthrough, be destroyed by fire in Jesus' name!
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
1. I declare that every barrier blocking my destiny helpers is broken today!
2. My destiny helpers shall locate me without delay!
3. Every force of rejection and opposition working against my divine connections is cancelled!
4. I shall not miss my helpers, and my helpers shall not miss me!
5. From today, divine favour shall attract the right people into my life!
