TEXT: Psalms 119:143
"Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: yet thy commandments are my delights."
TROUBLE - AN UNWANTED GUEST
Trouble is like an unwanted visitor. Sometimes it comes alone and other times with multiple friends. Anguish is the luggage that follows trouble. Trouble never says when it will depart. Job said: "Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble" (14:1). Wherever man runs to, trouble is sure to follow.
At a critical point in his life when trouble was stalking him like a permanent shadow, David cried to the Lord: "...my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave" (Psalms 88:3). Trouble visited and was pursuing him to his grave but God intervened and delivered him. God will intervene in your troubles and deliver you in Jesus name.
Like David, when trouble visits, cry to the Lord; meditate on his word and praise Him. He is able to deliver His children from multiple troubles and anguish. God said in Psalms 50:15, "...call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me." As you call upon God today, He will arise and deliver you in Jesus name.
TROUBLE - ARROWS FROM SATAN
The devil shoots arrows of trouble into the lives of men but God in His mercies delivers from the fiery darts of Satan. He promised in His word: "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee" (Isa 43:2). God will never leave nor forsake those who put their trust in him. Have faith in God. In your time of trouble, your faith will not fail in Jesus name.
GOD DELIVERS FROM ALL TROUBLES
The God that delivered Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego is still God. He will walk into your fiery furnace and deliver you in Jesus name. Job 5:19 says: "He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee."
PRAYER:
Father, arise in your might and deliver me from all my troubles in Jesus name.
CONFESSION:
The Lord is my deliverer.
God bless you. Shalom.
