INTRODUCTION:
Supernatural lifting is the act of God elevating an individual beyond human comprehension or effort. It defies natural laws and limitations, showcasing His power, favour, and grace. While human lifting depends on connections, skills, or effort, supernatural lifting comes solely from God. This sermon will look at the principles and pathways to experiencing supernatural lifting.
1. WHAT IS SUPERNATURAL LIFTING?
a) Definition of Supernatural Lifting
It is divine elevation orchestrated by God beyond human capacity (Psalm 75:6-7).
b) It Is Rooted in God's Sovereignty
Only God has the power to lift one person and bring down another (Daniel 2:21).
c) It Is Marked by God's Grace and Favour
Supernatural lifting is unearned and unmerited (Genesis 6:8).
d) It Transcends Human Limitations
God’s lifting breaks every barrier or limitation (Isaiah 60:1).
e) Biblical Example: Joseph
God lifted him from prison to the palace (Genesis 41:39-44).
2. CHARACTERISTICS OF SUPERNATURAL LIFTING
a) It Is Sudden and Unexpected
God’s lifting often comes when least expected (1 Samuel 2:8).
b) It Brings Divine Distinction
Supernatural lifting sets an individual apart for greatness (Isaiah 60:2).
c) It Draws Divine Protection
God protects those He lifts from the enemy's attacks (Psalm 91:1).
d) It Is Accompanied by Divine Favour
When God lifts, He grants favour before men (Proverbs 3:4).
e) Biblical Example: Esther
God lifted her from obscurity to royalty (Esther 2:17).
3. PRINCIPLES FOR SUPERNATURAL LIFTING
a) Humility
God exalts the humble and resists the proud (James 4:10).
b) Faithfulness in Small Things
Faithfulness in little leads to greater opportunities (Luke 16:10).
c) Obedience to God's Word
Obedience activates blessings and elevation (Deuteronomy 28:1-2).
d) Seeking God’s Presence
God’s presence guarantees lifting (Exodus 33:14).
e) Biblical Example: David
His faithfulness and humility led to his elevation as king (1 Samuel 16:11-13).
4. HINDRANCES TO SUPERNATURAL LIFTING
a) Pride and Arrogance
Pride precedes a fall, and God resists the proud (Proverbs 16:18).
b) Disobedience
Ignoring God’s instructions blocks His blessings (1 Samuel 15:22-23).
c) Lack of Faith
Doubt prevents us from experiencing divine lifting (Hebrews 11:6).
d) Unforgiveness and Bitterness
A hardened heart blocks favour and grace (Ephesians 4:31-32).
e) Biblical Example: King Saul
His disobedience caused him to lose his throne (1 Samuel 15:26).
5. HOW TO POSITION YOURSELF FOR SUPERNATURAL LIFTING
a) Be Prayerful and Persistent
Prayer provokes divine intervention and lifting (Luke 18:1-7).
b) Cultivate a Lifestyle of Gratitude
Thanksgiving opens doors to God’s blessings (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
c) Remain Faithful in Service
God honours those who serve Him faithfully (Colossians 3:23-24).
d) Walk in Holiness and Integrity
Holiness attracts God’s favour and blessings (Psalm 84:11).
e) Biblical Example: Daniel
His integrity and faithfulness led to his promotion (Daniel 6:3).
CONCLUSION:
Supernatural lifting is not the result of human effort but God’s divine intervention. As you remain humble, obedient, and faithful, the God who lifts will elevate you to heights you never imagined. Trust in Him, and He will break barriers and take you to your next level.
