Summary: 3 Types of Anointing 1) Lepers Anointing The Anointing for Salvation. 2) Priestly Anointing The Priestly Anointing for Ministry. 3) Kingly Anointing The Kingly Anointing for Dominion.

The Three Anointing’s 1

You might say I have never seen in the Bible the Topic of three anointing’s but often within scripture there are principals that are not easily found.

As an example, you know that the Bible states that we are not to steal, murder, lie, and so one, these are easily found within the Bible.

Principals that are called moral principles.

In the Bible there are certain words or symbols that are associated with a certain meaning.

Oil, Water, Fire, a Dove are some of the symbols of the Holy Spirit.

Definition of Anointing:

the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer

the highest degree of God's Holy Spirit which sets the recipient apart for holy uses. G

A Path to Victory for the Christian

1) Lepers Anointing

The word leprosy in the Bible is associated with sin.

In the Bible days Leprosy was incurable and would result in a person being quarantined or removed from the camp, or community.

Leviticus 13:46

He is unclean, and he shall dwell alone; his dwelling shall be outside the camp

Numbers12:9-11, 14-15

9And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.

10And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.

11And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.

14And the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.

15And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.

Here is a picture that sin separates you from the Family of God and the presence of God.

We were all lepers, or sinners at one time

Jesus is the Answer for Sin

When you come to Jesus, He alone can wash away all of your sins, my sins anyone who calls on the name of the Lord.

After you receive Christ, you are supposed to start to have a hunger for the things of God,

all the Old things are passed away and all things become new,

We are supposed to desire the milk of God’s word.

Hunger for the things of God

We have already come to a place that nothing else satisfies!!

2) Priestly Anointing

Brings you to a place where you have a hunger for God and begin to desire to serve and please God.

Anointed to Minister to God and to Minister to Gods people

Samuel

a. 1 Samuel 3:1

Now the boy Samuel ministered to the Lord before Eli.

b. 1Samuel 3:19

So Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground.

Samuel had the priestly anointing to minister for God and minister to the people.

As you develop the Priestly anointing leads to the Kingly Anointing

Kingly Anointing is power and authority for the Kingdom of God

This anointing:

takes sacrifice

obedience

prayer

study

sanctification

crucify the flesh

3) Kingly Anointing

Can be used for good and kept or can be Lost,

Saul had it and lost it because of disobedience.

Its not based upon talent, looks or personality/

1 Samuel 16:7

7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him.

The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

Peter got the keys

Matthew 16:15-17

15He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

16Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

17Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not [g]prevail against it. 19And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth [h]will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Acts 19:11-15

11Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul,

12so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.

Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.”

14Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so.

15And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?”

Zechariah 3:

Vision of the High Priest

1Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him.

2And the Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?”

3Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments and was standing before the Angel.

4Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, “Take away the filthy garments from him.” And to him He said, “See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes.”

5And I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.”

So they put a clean turban on his head, and they put the clothes on him. And the Angel of the Lord stood by.

6Then the Angel of the Lord admonished Joshua, saying, 7“Thus says the Lord of hosts:

‘If you will walk in My ways,

And if you will keep My command,

Then you shall also judge My house,

And likewise have charge of My courts;

I will give you places to walk

Among these who stand here.
