*Galatians 6:1, (the responsibility to REBUKE and RESTORE a person)

"Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted."

Solomon gave the importance of rebuking an erring person. He also gave a sort of advice us to do this thing.

I. How To REBUKE A Person

1. Do it with LOVE

*verse 5, (CARE to CORRECT with love)

"Better is open rebuke than hidden love."

2. Do it with a LESSON

*verse 6, (better HUMBLED by a FRIEND than being HYPED by a FOE)

"Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses."

II. How To RESTORE A Person

1. Do it LIBERALLY

*verse 7, (make it SHORT but SWEET)

"He who is full loathes honey, but to the hungry even what is bitter tastes sweet."

2. Do it with LOYALTY

*verse 8, (a person who is not FAITHFUL to his loved ones seems to have no FAMILY)

"Like a bird that strays from its nest is a man who strays from his home."

III. How To REASSURE A Person

1. Do it with LIVELY

*verse 9, (the COUNSEL of friend gives COMFORT to aching heart)

"Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of one’s friend springs from his earnest counsel."

2. Do it LIABLY

*verse 10, (be COMMITTED and be CAUTIOUS)

"Do not forsake your friend and the friend of your father, and do not go to your brother’s house when disaster strikes you— better a neighbor nearby than a brother far away."

Conclusion: Like constructive criticism, rebuke is necessary in building relationships. Especially if it is done with love and a desire to improve one's character. Because good and fruitful relationships is not only about COMPATIBILITY, it also about COMPLETABILITY.
