It’s not Christian Politics

PRAYER
OPENING: - Habakkuk 2:1 says, “I will stand upon my watch and set me upon the tower and will watch to see what he will say unto me and what I shall answer when I am reproved”. The spiritual duty of a true watchman is a noble, honorable, respectable, gentle, distinguished, gracious, magnificent, and demanding calling that requires vigilance, prayer, discernment, humility, compassion, and understanding. As I stand guard in faith there must be trust, truth, legitimacy and honesty because our performance can make an eternal difference in the lives of multitudes or just one and we are given a very stern warning in Luke 17:2 “It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones”. I never want to be the cause for anyone to be offended because I neglected my spiritual duty. I strive to present the unadulterated Word of God in a clear and precise way that is understandable, I believe if a child is not able to understand your message, then your message is too hard. Nelson Mandela is noted for saying “If you speak a language a man knows you speak to his head. If you speak a language, he understands you speak to his heart” and it is always my desire to speak to the heart of the people of God. It is your heart that I truly need to impress upon today and I am coming from the depths of my heart with this message.
I truly do not like the election season; I can say I hate election season because I get sick and tired of the commercials of the different candidates bashing each other. I truly believe they are for the most part nothing more than emotionally driven, fallacy ridden loads of hogwash pushed by special interest groups targeted at certain groups of people that are distorted, misleading depictions mostly designed to manipulate the mind incite emotional reaction and cause you to react based on those emotions and not on rational and intellectual acuity. However, what really gets under my skin is when I hear preachers that stand in the pulpit and manipulate the Word of God for political reasons and try to make people accountable or appear to be in a sin ridden condition because they will not conform to a certain political standard or political party or vote a certain way.
Now there are guilty participants on both sides of the field but the other day I came across a video of this evangelical preacher, I will not mention his name, but he said you can call him a racist, prejudice, or anything you wanted but he had to rebuke the Black Pentecostal Church for endorsing and voting for that woman because endorsing and voting for her is voting and endorsing murder, transgenderism, homosexualism, and all of this is against God and he must rebuke it and anyone that is for her is with it. You could hear the congregation just going in screaming Amen like this man was preaching the house down. Yet you will endorse and vote for a man who is the epitome of adultery, covetousness, extortioners, and goes against everything the evangelical movement claims godly but want to rebuke the Black church, before you talk about someone’s bathroom make sure your bathroom has toilet paper in it.
Let’s just keep it real and see what the Bible says.
Psalm 101:7 says, “He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house; he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight”. We all know the lies that the man whom they are endorsing tells and has been proven to tell yet they endorse and vote for him but there is no rebuke.
Revelation 21:8 says, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderer, and whoremonger, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone which is the second death”.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 says, “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God”.
Understand when people manipulate scripture to benefit a certain agenda then you end up with crap like slavery, colonization, inquisitions, and backward twisted false history like we have now. Listen people of God I need to explain something because it is the small foxes that destroy the vine Song of Solomon 2:15, Christian Nationalism, Politics, and the Constitution of the United States of America has nothing at all to do with the Bible or Christianity. It is this concept Christian Nationalism, Politics, and the Constitution that is being pushed and it is portrayed as being based upon Christian principles and Biblical foundations so that it will gain momentum, but it is a deception.
Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”.
Galatians 6:7 says, “Be not deceived God is not mocked”.
Christian Nationalism is a belief system that America is defined and built on Christianity and Christian values, and that the government should promote it. So, this movement gets involved in politics and the political arena and tries to mix the Bible and politics together and will say things like the U.S. is founded on Christianity and the Constitution is based in Christianity when they’re not. Understand and you can google this for yourself but nowhere in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, or the Bill of Rights are the words Christian, Bible, or Jesus Christ. There is no place in the founding documents the idea that the United States is to be a Christian nation. However, you get the Evangelical Christian Church to back them up and say see we can with your support get into the political arena, congress, the senate, and presidency and truly bring about a change and establish Christian values in society, because it says America has always been Christian when in actuality it is the same white supremacy rhetoric that has only replaced their sheets and hoods with suits, pulpits, and T.V. cameras.
Hear me on this people of God your political preference, your vote, your political party affiliation has nothing to do with the Bible, Salvation, or Christianity at all and if any preacher says it does is trying to manipulate you. Your vote is a choice and a responsibility you have because of those that have suffered and sacrificed for you to have the opportunity to be able to vote. Unless you are a white male someone had to suffer and sacrifice for you to be able to vote so you have the responsibility and the obligation to them to vote and that is it.
The misuse of scripture sadly is an American tradition that is not going to go away soon. The Colonists cheated, raped, and murder, Native Americans out of the land then when they realized they couldn’t maintain it on their own, they traveled the seas, stole, murder, enslaved, raped Africans and forced them to build a new nation all in the land they stole, raped, and murdered from others in the name of Christianity, a stolen religion but that is another lesson, twisting and manipulating scripture to fit their ideas and agendas.
This is not the 1400s we can search the scriptures and know what thus saith the Lord for ourselves. We are given a mandate in 1 Timothy 2:1-5 “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”. Notice it says “that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty” – we must pray so we can lead a peaceable life, pray that the vote you cast will cause us to live a peaceable life, not so much the politician they are going to live and be what they are going to be, but we must pray so we may live a peaceful life.
CLOSING
This message is a little different than my normal messages, but it is a message that is from my heart. Hosea 4:6 says, “My people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge”. It is my desire to impart knowledge to the people of God. Ephesians 5:8 says we are to “walk as children of light” since light is knowledge we must walk in knowledge.
We must remember the past for those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. We must remember how people manipulate scripture to accomplish certain agendas like slavery and colonization and ensure such atrocities never happen again.
We much search the scriptures and understand that God is a God of Love for all people, that He desires a relationship with all mankind, that He loves us all and gave His only begotten Son for us that whoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life and that is not based upon race or creed or nationality and definitely not political affiliation.
We cannot let the rhetoric of racial division, prejudicial chaos, and religious rhetoric continue. We must give unto Ceasar the political system what is theirs and give to God what belongs to Him and that is our hearts, our souls, our minds.
