If you want to know more about Father God, you must read the Book of John. Every chapter contains a unique revelation of Father God. Sometimes when we read this book, we see the Father God living and speaking directly through Jesus. This book portrays Jesus as the visible image of Father God. Maybe Apostle John saw Father God in Jesus, so that in everything he associated Jesus with Father God.
From the opening verse (John 1:1) itself, he talks about Father God. In the beginning of creation, the word was with God. The word was Jesus, and God was Father God. He began to describe Jesus' association with Father God and their relationship with one another.
In the beginning of creation, Jesus was with Father God, and they were one. Father God and Jesus were inseparable. How did John write such a stunning and powerful verse? Did he have a vision or a dream? Did he travel back in time to see Jesus and Father God at the beginning of creation? We are not sure of the answer. But He viewed things from the perspective of eternity past, when Jesus and Father God lived together. From that perspective, he wrote this book, bringing God's duality(Father and Jesus are living together and can never be separated) into every verse. Every verse mentions and describes about Jesus and Father God. He did not see God as a single being, but as a Triune God. He brought back the understanding about the Trinity that was lost during Adam’s fall.
He also clearly identified each member of Trinity and their responsibilities. He was also the first human in the entire universe (John 1:1) to see two of the three members of the Trinity in the same time frame or at the same time (or instant).
All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. John 1:3
All things were made through Jesus and there was nothing made in creation without Jesus. Everything in existence was made through Jesus. Without Jesus, there was no creation at all, and it was a lump of dark matter (entirely blank and completely void) . All visible and invisible things were created by Jesus. Jesus created everything, including planets, universes, and our families. Jesus created every object in the universe. There is no object present in the entire universe which Jesus had not made. Father created the entire universe through Jesus. Father God spoke the word, and Jesus created what was spoken by Father God. They lived in complete divine harmony and were inseparable.
Father God's working visible hand is Jesus, and Jesus is all that the Father has. Father God entrusted the universe to Jesus, and Jesus always chose father's will over his own. Jesus is the well pleased son of Father God. The book of John talks about numerous instances where Jesus talks and describes about the Father God.
Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed. John 5:19-20
All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you. John 16:15
I and My Father are one. John 10:30
Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. John 14:23
John saw Father God in Jesus. There are so many secrets about Father God hidden in this book. On his first meeting with Jesus, Nathaniel discovered that Jesus was the Messiah. How did Nathaniel discover such a secret that even John the Baptist couldn't find out? It was because of what he did under the fig tree. He was having a quiet time with Father God under the fig tree. When Jesus said, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you ”, Nathaniel realised Jesus was the Messiah. I saw you under the fig tree meant - Jesus saw Nathaniel under the fig tree having a quiet time with Father God. When Jesus revealed the secret of the fig tree, which only Nathaniel and Father God knew, Nathaniel realised that Jesus was the Messiah.
In Mark 16:15-17 - “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.”
Peter found out Jesus was the Messiah only after Father God revealed it to him. Only when Father God reveals who the Messiah is, then only will a person like John or Nathaniel know who the Messiah is. Nobody will know who the Messiah is unless the Father God reveals it. Nathaniel was having a fellowship with Father God under the fig tree by which he came to know Jesus is the Messiah.
“Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. John 4:21-23
We see Father God in the story of the Samaritan women as well. The story is very deep. Jesus went to Samaria not only to save the Samaritan women, but the whole city of Samaria. The root cause of the deep sin of the Samarian women and Samarians is that they did not have a place of worship(temple) where they can meet with God.
So Jesus said that the place of worship is not a physical location, but rather in the Spirit and the Truth. According to Jesus, the place of worship (temple) is not (tied to) a physical location, but rather a place where you worship in Spirit and truth. The place where you worship in Spirit and Truth is where you can meet God, and it can be any physical location, such as your home, temple, or anything. Jesus removed the restriction that you need go to a physical temple to worship and meet God. When you worship in Spirit and truth, that place becomes God's temple. Jesus revealed the type of worship and worshippers that the Father seeks.
These are some examples where each chapter contained a unique revelation of Father God. In some chapters, Jesus speaks about Father God, while in others, we must ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the hidden revelation about the Father God.
There are so many unique revelations of Father God still hidden in the book of John. We also need to be on the journey like Apostle John to see the Father God in and through Jesus. We don't know - Maybe after we reach heaven, we'll realise that the only visible form of Father God is Jesus. Father God is seen only in Jesus. The Lamb of God is the only thing visible in heaven. What would you do?
Start seeing Father God in Jesus and try to find more about Father God in the book of John. Perhaps, like Apostle John, you will learn to see Father God in Jesus and live according the will of Father God.
