1. CHOSEN BY GOD
• but I chose you and appointed you
• To be chosen by God is a privilege.
• In Christ we were chosen to be God's people.
• Ephesians 1:11
In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will.
• 2 Peter 1:10
“Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble.”
2. ABIDING IN GOD
• To abide means to allow God to move in us and let Him direct us.
• John 15:4-5
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
• 1 John 2:6
The one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.
3. DILIGENCE.
• so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last
• John 15:8
This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
