You will find many times in the Bible that some very outstanding truths are connected with the word rod in the Bible.
I. The Rod of Authority

2. Word of God is our authority, 2 Timothy 3:16.
3. Man degenerated to the low morals of animals because of no fear of God in him, Romans 1.
4. The Word of God is our authority for the new birth, 1 Peter 1:23.
5. Greatest moment in a man’s life when he recognizes the authority of God over his whole life.
6. God is our pilot, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.
7. The power of Heaven was backing Moses while he went.
II. The Rod of Correction
1. Hebrews 12:8
2. Rod of correction if you are a child, if not then he called you a mighty bad name. illegitimate son.
3. Don’t condemn a man because he slips and does wrong, but I will watch him how reacts after he slips.
4. We preach, “Abstain from appearance of all evil.”

6. You can’t live a worldly life and not suffer, dabble around the world and someone will suffer even you.
III. The Rod of Comfort

2. A Rod of Love.
3. Leans upon God’s staff.
4. The comfort of the ever-dwelling presence of God.
IV. The Rod of Judgment
1. Jude 14-15
2. Revelation 19:17-21
3. He is coming to rule.
4. Rule with a rod of iron.
