A small testimony which happened recently: my 4-month-old niece had fever, cough, and cold throughout the night. When I was praying in the morning, I had a dream or vision, and within 30 minutes my niece’s cold, fever, and cough went away. Jesus did a wonderful miracle.
In this vision, I was in a field with one side completely filled with brightness and Jesus standing at the boundary of that side. On the other side, I stood holding my niece in my hands. I was tensed and was using all of my wisdom, plans and strength to help my niece who was sick. I tried so many things, but nothing is working. Jesus said, "Submit your niece into my hands." Initially, I struggled to hand over my niece to Jesus. I was trying everything to help my niece. In a moment, I remembered all I did for my niece for the last few months. But slowly and reluctantly, I placed my niece in Jesus' hands.
When I placed my niece in Jesus' hands, I saw that there are so many provisions and so much divine help with Jesus. When I started placing my niece into Jesus' hands, all of my anxiety and concern regarding my niece had vanished. When I finally kept my niece in Jesus' hands, I felt a sudden surge of divine assurance and peace. The pressure of providing and caring for my niece was lifted and completely gone.
Then Jesus told me that the child was His property and possession. Parents are just caretakers of God’s children. It shook my entire understanding of parenting which I had for many years. On this earth, I am merely my niece's caretaker. I acted as if the child belonged to me and I needed to support him. In my prayers, I would refer to the child as my property and ask God for assistance as an external person. The child is not my property, but Jesus'. I am only the child's caretaker, but the child belongs to Jesus.
As parents, the sooner we submit the children in the hands of Jesus, the sooner all stress and tension will be relieved, and this is the best approach to care for your children. As caretakers, ask Jesus to take care of His children and bestow His best riches and blessings on them. Jesus has abundant provisions and blessings. Teach the children not to be dependent on us, but on Jesus. Submit your children into the hands of God and let him take care of them, but you act as caretakers using God's provisions and favours.
Every morning when we wake up and before we sleep, we must submit the children into Jesus' hands. When we submit our children in Jesus' hands, we don't have to worry about their future and health. Jesus will care for them. It will remove a lot of anxiety and pressure regarding our children. When we submit our children to Jesus, he will do everything as he pleases and make them as he desires. Jesus knows the best and will provide the finest for our children. When we put our children in Jesus' hands, when they need something, he will provide the necessary provisions. All necessary provisions are given only by Jesus and we as caretakers use God’s provisions for kids.
We must recognise that we lack the wisdom, strength, and ability to raise our children. We, as caretakers, need to completely depend on Jesus to provide the necessary provisions, wisdom, and capacities to raise the children. Jesus gives the needed provisions to us, and we give them to our children. When children require provisions, we ask Jesus to provide them, and when Jesus does, we deliver the provisions to them. It's a vicious circle. As caretakers, we are going to Jesus for our children and give them what Jesus provides for them.
When the kids are sick, we place or submit them in the hands of Jesus. When the children require life direction, we place them in the hands of Jesus. When the children are not studying, we place them in the hands of Jesus and ask Jesus to give them wisdom.
When we are out of picture, and Jesus taking care of the child, the child will grow to become a person like Jesus. His life will become more like Jesus rather than his parents'. We continually remind Jesus that the children are His property, and we are just caretakers. This will make Jesus very happy. When we raise our children this way, there will be less pampered children and selfish parents. It will stop a lot of jealousy and competition among parents who believe their children are the best. The best approach to raise our children is to submit them into the hands of Jesus on a daily basis and remind him that they are his property and possession, and he can do whatever he wants with them. We should recognise our inability to raise our children and fully rely on Jesus to provide for them. Since children are Jesus' possession, let Jesus take care of them while we act as only caretakers, obeying Jesus' voice.
