When the Enemy who is Satan wants to attack and Disarm the Church, which is his greatest Enemy or problem, he targets the Men of God and Spiritual Leaders who are carrying the Knowledge of God(It's the light that Satan fears). Jeremiah 3:15,17
15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the Lord; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the Lord, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.
Hebrews 13: 7 Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.
The Man or the Woman of God in your Life is a very important and sensitive person to watch. They are called leaders or Shepherd, meaning they are leading you somewhere(to death or to life), they are feeding you something, Impacting certain faith upon your life and at the same time they are the ones the enemy puts an eye on when he wants to attack you(the Flock)-Meaning when the devil wants to visit your camp, he will first weigh the Power and the Strength of the Spiritual Cover upon your life(That man or woman of God watching over you he is another door to your life and home). For your pastor has been given the same power and Authority of Jesus by Jesus himself.That Pastor is also reconciles men to Christ, he can bless you, he can intercede and plead for Mercy on your behalf, Romans 15:16 "I am a special messenger from Christ Jesus to you Gentiles. I bring you the Good News so that I might present you as an acceptable offering to God, made holy by the Holy Spirit"
They can also destroy your life or curse you-it does not matter how he looks. Elisha with the boys in 2 Kings 2:23-25 the man of God called a Curse upon the boys that laughed at his bald and they were destroyed by bears.
Let me first give you a good practical strategy of the devil...Currently many Men and Women of God are leading churches away from God to their own desires and of course to distractions. Remember the Scripture says The gates of Hell shall not prevail against the Church-This is what God intends for the church. For Satan not to prevail against the Church, God has put overseers over His People and Since that declaration was made, the devil had to think on how now to enter the Church and attack the Church.For sure Satan knows his hindrance is the appointed man of God who is now the watchman in charge of the many homes in that church and they are appointed to watch over the Flock according to the Heart of God meaning through God's ways. They receive the Vision and the direction of God concerning your life, they are also accountable to God about your life, that's why any genuine serious pastor will be stressed when you are not doing well, your ways of life are key to the man of God.
Hebrews 13: 17-18 Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.
18 Pray for us. We are sure that we have a clear conscience and desire to live honorably in every way. 19 I particularly urge you to pray so that I may be restored to you soon.
So the devil knows that when he succeeds to capture your pastor with the wrong doctrine he will prevail against the church and eventually against families and the nation at large.Because of the Responsibility the pastor has over your life, the devil therefore must find a strategy to interfere with the man of God first in order to successfully interfere with your life Zechariah 13:7b “Strike down the shepherd,
and the sheep will be scattered, and I will turn against the lambs.....
That's why, he comes with wrong doctrine upon the man of that house(Church) to corrupt the knowledge of God, interferes with his desires and the hunger he has for God, changes around his priorities, makes him see Money as the most urgent thing or assignment to his life more than the flock under his care, he loses focus on God and begins to lead the church to the wrong Direction-Pursuing his own new interests and for sure the enemy will spend enough time to seriously push that man into this new direction until that Pastor completely disappears from the purpose and the Presence of God And he comes to permanently strike the Flock. I know you understand what am saying especially with what we are seeing going on in the churches around.
Whatever Spirit the man of God carries be sure it's slowly growing into your life.Every Alter has one specific powerful Spirit that works Morally and Spiritually and it's Multiplied into the lives of those under that Voice. This is what I mean, our Battles are not against Flesh and Blood but against Principalities and Authorities in the Heavenly places: These Principalities and Authorities knows what your Pastor is capable of and what he is struggling with, they know what his Spirit is capable to deliver.They know how close that Man is to God and what He has so far Conquered in the Heavenly realms.They know if his prayers are sincere or not, the realms can testify how strong and powerful that man is and his moral scale. Now when you connect yourself to that man or Woman of God he spiritually carries you along into those realms that he has conquered and the Supernatural Victories he has received in those realms will start flowing into your life too-The heavens that are open over his life begins to open over your life too.
These are the ways we are connected to their Lives:
+Through Salvation-Speaking Christ into your life and Disciple you in the Grace he has received
+By Serving God with him or Serving him or Serving at his Church/Ministry-the influence comes
+Through Giving -Giving provokes his Spirit to
utter the highest things into your life.
+Baptism both by Water and with Holy Spirit by the laying of his hands on you.
+Ordinations/Consecrations/dedications/Weddings
Brethren we can be a solution to our Pastors by praying for them in those areas that they might be struggling with. They also have weaknesses as wee do.We can become an added Strength to them through our prayers. Like Moses in the Battle Field with the Amalek: Exodus 17:8-13
8 Then Amalek came and fought with Israel at Rephidim. 9 So Moses said to Joshua, “Choose for us men, and go out and fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the staff of God in my hand.” 10 So Joshua did as Moses told him, and fought with Amalek, while Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. 11 Whenever Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed, and whenever he lowered his hand, Amalek prevailed. 12 But Moses' hands grew weary, so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it, while Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side. So his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. 13 And Joshua overwhelmed Amalek and his people with the sword.
Pastors and Spiritual Leaders are human like us, they also go through challenges, yes you might not know what they are going through because a Father will not easily tell the child the kind of fire they are passing through but be sure those Men of God and leaders in your life they also face war and challenges. In fact their challenges are intense and strong because of the calling they carry. The weapons the enemy forges against your Pastor they are big and stronger. When your Pastor falls down be sure, the enemy will have broken your Walls too and he will be on the way towards you.
If the marriage of your Pastor is shaken be sure your's is not safe, if your pastor is sick you might not be that safe, you need to pray for them. Don't just watch Pray for them.They need your back up, there is much on their shoulders, Ministry, his own family, the families in his ministry, his own personal life, the society, the Nation....sometimes they concentrate with our lives and even forget their own families. They can commit to pray for you and forget to pray for their own households. They battles so many demons on your behalf. They speak into your life, you trust them with your home, children and your entire life that they shall be of blessings, so we ought to pray for them. When they Backslide you don't run away from them but you pray for their restoration.
Romans 15: 30 Dear brothers and sisters, I urge you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to join in my struggle by praying to God for me. Do this because of your love for me, given to you by the Holy Spirit.
Prayer items.
1. Pray that our Pastors and Spiritual Leaders shall be led by the Holy Spirit in order to lead us well.
2. Pray that God shall give them peace and strength in all they do especially in the Ministry
3. Pray that God shall Grant them the right wisdom and Knowledge to Shepherd you according to the heart and the will of God.
4.Pray that God will make you an intercessor for your pastor
