Psalm 105:26-45 God At Work
1. Divine Service - 26 He sent Moses his servant;
The Calling One - 26 He sent - Luke 10:2 Therefore said he unto them,
Harvest Demands - The harvest truly is great,
Harvest Deficits - but the labourers are few:
Harvest Desires - pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest,
Harvest Designs - that he would send forth labourers
Harvest Deeds - into his harvest.
The Called One - Moses his servant; -
Salvation - Moses (Bulrushes), Submission (Bush), Separation (Back into Egypt)
The Accompanying One - and Aaron whom he had chosen.
Chosen By Grace, With Gifts, For Glory - God's High Priest.
2. Divine Signs - 27 They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
1 Darkness - 28 He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word
2. Devastation -
Foulness - 29 He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
Frogs - 30 Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.
Flies - 31 He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.
Fire - 32 He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.
Failure - 33 He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.
Frailty - 34 He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,
Famine - 35 and did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.
3. Death -
The Terror - 36 He smote also (Passover)
The Target - all the firstborn in their land,
The Tragedy - the chief of all their strength -
Ex 4:21 And the Lord said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go. 22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord, Israel is my son, even my firstborn: 23 and I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn.
4. Deliverance -
His Provision - 37 He brought them forth also with silver and gold:
His Power - there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
His Protection - 38 Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.
His Progression - 39 He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.
3. Divine Supplies -
Abundant -
40 The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
Instant -
41 He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.
Constant - 42 For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.
Exultant - 43 And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:
Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. 20 Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
4. Divine Statutes -
The Land - 44 and gave them the lands of the heathen:
The Labour - and they inherited the labour of the people;
The Law - 45 that they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws.
The Lord - Praise ye the Lord.
