Psalms 75 For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup
I. THE JOY - 1 Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks:
for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.

2. THE JUDGE - (2-3)
His Requirement - 2 When "the proper or appointed time"
Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: 31 because he hath appointed a day in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
His Rule - 2 When I shall receive the congregation
His Righteousness - 2 I will judge uprightly.
His Reckoning - 3 The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved
His Right - 3 I bear up the pillars of it.
His Resolve - "Selah" John 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: 23 that all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
3. THE JUDGED - 4-5
The Wanton - 4 I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly:
Psalm 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
The Wicked - 4 and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:
The Willful - 5 lift not up your horn on high:
The Wasteful - speak not with a stiff neck
4. THE JUDGMENT - 6-9

A. The Exaltation of The Secular -
6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
B. The Elevation of The Supernatural -
7 But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
C. The Eradication of The Supernal - 8 For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof,
all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.
1. The Control - "in the hand of the Lord"
2. The Cup - "there is a cup"
3. The Contents - "wine"
4. The Colour - "is red" (blood) Rev 16:19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
5. The Commotion - "fully mixed"
6. The Cascade - "he pours it out"
7. The Condemnation -
but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.
D. The Exultation of The Spiritual -
9 But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
5. THE JUSTICE - 10 God is Judge - trust Him!
The Sinner Excluded 10 All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off
The Saint Exalted - but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.
Habakkuk 2:20 But the Lord is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.
Isaac Watts declares in, “Keep Silence, All Created Things,”
“Here He exalts neglected worms, To scepters and a crown;
And there the following page He turns, And treads the monarch down.”
If Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people, So is Hell.
