Because God is so glorious and radiates such marvellous light, everything around him will be darkened. All the angels and cherubs will be darkened or rendered insignificant in his brightness. God is so glorious that once we see him clearly, all the things around him, such as angels, cherubs, and even the throne, lose their glamour. Only God will fascinate us. Many people claim to see God, but their eyes are not darkened to the rest of the world or the angels. When we see God, the only thing that fascinates or attracts us is God and God alone.
The one who sees God, his eyes are also darkened to earthly pleasures and blessings. He is completely consumed by God and nothing else. He is so lost with only God and nothing else. The radiance of a beautiful one burns His hearts. Exposure to God and his glory is dangerous. It's even contagious that we cannot survive without seeing God. Moses had a similar experience. When we see God, His glory is so dazzling that everything else around Him becomes blackened and seems to fade away.
When we have the opportunity to behold God in His Glory, our gaze will be drawn solely to Him. Our eyes become fixated on Him, and we are drawn to seek more of Him. Even the angels, cherubim, and the splendours of heaven cannot fascinate us apart from God. Their light pales in comparison to His radiance and magnificence. God easily captures our attention and fascination.
Moses saw God face to face, and the beautiful one's radiance burnt his heart and made him long or crave for God. He may even be in a situation where he cannot survive without seeing God on a daily basis. His survival is dependent on seeing God. He can't live without seeing God every day. Just like how we cannot survive without air, Moses could not live without regularly seeing the face of God. Did we ever see God face to face? If we get to see God's face, there will be a burning desire in your hearts to see him on a regular basis. If you haven't had a face to face experience with God yet, pray to Him and ask for this opportunity.
