And the Philistine said, “I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together.” When Saul and all Israel heard these words of the Philistine, they were dismayed and greatly afraid. 1 Samuel 17:10-11
And the Philistine drew near and presented himself forty days, morning and evening. 1 Samuel 17:16
Start exercising your faith in the dead and defeated situations around you. Even though 10 thousand people around you have accepted that the situation won’t change. Even though a healing evangelist might have given up hope on a sick person around you. Many people around you might have accepted the defeat, like that a sick person around you cannot be healed, that the situation will not change, and so on; however, that does not mean you will also accept the defeat.
Defeat is not losing a battle against Goliath or an external battle, but losing our faith in God in our hearts that he will not save us, change the situation, and bring us victory. Saul and his army were defeated even the before the battle. Saul and his army were defeated when they lost faith in their God by looking at Goliath and Philistines. It’s not the actual physical defeat, they were defeated in their hearts. When God’s name was dishonoured, they still kept quiet. They accepted defeat in their hearts. The morale is down looking at Goliath. When we lose our faith in God, we are defeated.
Just like David, you rise to the occasion and start applying your faith in Jesus to kill the Goliath. People might have accepted the defeat, but that does not mean you will also accept the defeat. Do not accept the dead and defeated situation; instead, rise up and apply your faith to transform situation.
When you accept the situation as dead and defeated, you limit God’s power to heal or change the situation. God's power is infinite and can be used to benefit of entire humanity, but only very few people are able to draw this power through their faith in God. Start exercising your faith to draw God’s power to heal the sick and change your situations. If you remain silent, you are accepting the defeated situation. Saul and His army were terrified by Goliath, if you don’t apply faith, you can also be terrified by difficult situations. There is nothing we will lose when we apply faith. If we don’t apply faith, we will lose a lot.
When you exercise faith in dead conditions, then you will see the operation of Gifts. Even though a thousand individuals people may say it’s impossible and but you don’t accept the situation is dead. Let you be the one who rises like David and declares that with God, everything is possible and we are victorious.
If David would have remained silent, like Saul and his army did when Goliath defied the forces of the living God, he would have missed out on his kingship. God sometimes places you in dead and defeated situations; this does not mean you stay and adjust to the situation, but rather you rise and demonstrate with God that anything is possible.
Dead and defeated situations are God's doors in your life that will lead you to a greater level of blessing and anointing, as well as into your calling. Instead of being disappointed when you face defeated situations, use your faith in Jesus to change your situation. Many individuals complain and grumble about their defeated situations around them; instead of complaining that they will not change, use your faith to transform them.
If God has placed you in a dead and defeated situation, He is expecting you to change it by your faith in Him. God trusts his people with valleys before granting them His kingdom.
