Each young woman’s turn came to go in to King Ahasuerus after she had completed twelve months’ preparation, according to the regulations for the women, for thus were the days of their preparation apportioned: six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with perfumes and preparations for beautifying women. Esther 2:12
To become a queen it required 12 months of preparation: six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with perfumes. There can be only one queen in the Kingdom, but many concubines. Esther had only one opportunity and she can either become a queen or concubine. During Esther's preparation, God had to stop so many other virgins so that she can become the queen. During Esther's preparation, someone could have become Queen. God had to close the door for other virgins but open this specific door for Esther. Many virgins were beautiful and talented, but God had to close the door to all of them.
When God shuts a door, no one can open. When God opens a door, no one can close it. When God opens a door specifically for you, no one else can go through it. There is no peer pressure when you know that God has opened the door just for you. God had opened a door of queenship for Esther, through which only she can go. Even when others try to go through it, they cannot go through it.
Similarly, God has some specific doors only for us to go through it. It could be the door of blessings, promotion, or a brighter future.
The door is specifically for you, but you can’t go through it until you are prepared. God has reserved the door for you, but he waiting for you to be prepared. Only when you are prepared you can go through it. For Esther the preparation time was for 12 months, for us it can be based on the blessing present inside the door. Are you prepared enough for God to open the door so you can pass through it? Your preparation is causing the delay for the door to be opened.
The door to queenship was only opened for Esther (it was closed for everyone else), and she was allowed to pass through it after a 12-month preparation period. But when God opens a door specifically for you, no one else can pass through it, but you can go through it only if you are prepared.
Ask God to reveal you the doors that He has specifically prepared for you. If God has shown you a specific door, He is waiting for you to be prepared. Sometimes, in order to bless you or give you that job or business, God has stopped many others from receiving that blessing.
