Summary: Fly on High Like Eagle

Eagle Christian

Story - Eagle –

There is a story about a little eagle that fell out of its nest and landed in a chicken yard. The eagle grew up among the chickens and, although he looked a bit different, he learned to walk like a chicken and eat like a chicken.

One day the young eagle looked up into the sky and saw a beautiful eagle soaring above. The little eagle in the chicken yard thought, Oh, I would love to be able to do that!

As the eagle soared overhead, it looked down and saw the young eagle below. Suddenly he flew down & asked, "What are you doing here? "The little eagle replied, "I am just here in the chicken yard where I have always been."

The great eagle looked and said, "Spread your wings, boy. You do just what I do. Follow me." Then he flapped his wings and lifted off the ground. The little eagle had been living among these turkeys so long that he didn’t know who he was. He fly off into the sky never to return to the chicken yard again!

• When you look at nature, especially in word of God you would be crushingly amazed, God of the universe uses every means possible to communicate the truth with us. Including through creation.

I will give you an example. God almighty made the creatures of the earth to be a lesson.

• This is not going to be a study of nature, but its going to be who God is and un to us, and who we are unto him.

Romans 1: 20 for the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen. So the creation of the world reveals the invisible majesty of God, and the invisible part of God. being understood by the things are made even his eternal power and Godhead

• You know the Godhead; it is revealed thorough creation.

• The trinity is revealed through creation.

• Lets look at the tree, - three parts (tree branches and leaves

Man – mind soul and spirit

Look at the son, we have sun, the light and heat

As we look at creation trinity is revealed everywhere

So Gods amazing creation is a revelation to us

Eagle in the Bible

• The word Eagle can be finding 34 times in Bible

• 30 times in Old Testament and 4 times in New Testament

In centuries of human existence, a bird of significant strength has inspired a lot of people.

It is one of the largest birds in the world, the Eagle – a symbol of bravery, courage, power, strength, and superiority.

There are several kinds of eagle.

• Eagle used as standard emblem of a Roman legion

• Adolf Hitler used the emblem of an Eagle for his dynasty

• It was the even emblem of Roman empire,

• even it was the holy emblem of Anglican church, the church of England

Till today many countries use eagle as emblem like, Russia, United stated, Germany Mexico, Egypt, Philippians and so on

Lion is the king of the jungle and eagle is the king of the sky king of the birds

• Next to lion eagle is the most admired creature in the animal kingdom

Eagles are also known for the INCREDIBLE STRENGTH.

• A twenty pound eagle has enough strength in its claws to break the bones in a man's forearm by merely grasping it firmly.

Eagles are truly one of the most remarkable creatures God created.

• The wingspan of an mature eagle can stretch eight feet Airplane pilots have reported seeing eagles flying at 15,000 feet.

There are two kinds of eagle find in Israel, imperial eagle and golden eagle

• Imperial eagle speaks of the Christian, the king of birds

• The golden eagle speaks of the nature of the world, in the bible.

Imperial eagle who are on earth is believers, who are kings in life, while golden eagles speaks of Gods nature

Lets become the imperial eagle, the kingly eagle, one who reigns. Amazingly we have the nature of both eagles in our life. We are kings and we have Gods nature. Let us rise up and take our duty. Let us rise up and become who we are

Eagle is for heaven and so we are too heavenly people

Lessons From Eagle

An Eagle:

I. Has a Sharp Vision/Keen Eyesight

• One thing eagle are especially known for is their KEEN EYESIGHT.

• As humans, our eyes have 200,000 visual receptors per square centimeter; an eagle by comparison has 1.6 million receptors per square centimeter.

• They have the ability to focus on something as far as 5km away

• The eyeball of the eagle is so complex and so advanced to compared with human eyes.

• Eye of an eagle is the same size of a human.

• Their eyes are 4 to 8 times sharper than humans eyes.

• Eagle when it is soaring in the air it can see a small rabbit who running across the field a mile and two miles away. It can spot that rabbit.

• Eagles can spot the animas even when they are hiding. No animals can camouflage eagles.

When they fly, they can even see fish swimming under water, their auto correction is high, they can see the fish exactly where they are.

• When an eagle sights his prey, he will not move his focus from the prey until he successfully captures it.

• No matter the obstacles, the eagles will not move his from the prey until he grabs

The eyesight is so super perfect. They have perfect twenty- twenty eyesight 20/20

• Once the eagle focus on something, he locks the target and he swoops in the air at target of 330 kilometers per hour.

• That is the speed of an F1 car. He will never loses focus on the target and locks the prey with its legs and lifts the loads up.

Life lesson:

o The key lesson here is that identify your vision and goals.

o Stick to your vision no matter what obstacles stand in your way.

Do the same with your goals.

Focus on one thing to accomplish at a time. Give it your effort, time and energy. Focus and “set out to achieve it”. In order to succeed, we must have a clear vision and remain focused no matter what the obstacles may be

Something about eagles, eagles sees the details.Word of the Lord says in Job 39: Then she seeks the prey and her eyes behold the far off. It’s a detailed animal

Please hear this, I have to say this, this is very powerful:- You cannot be a strong eagle Christian, you cannot find your place in Jesus , your strength in Jesus, until you do this:- never forget this line, you cannot find it until you defined it

May I say it again: you cannot find it until you defined it

You can find anything as a believer, until you defined it.

How did you find it, lets look at it how David defined it.

How would you define it. Lets look at David and see how he define it

Let's look at what David did. David defined what he did with Goliath. In 1st samuel 17.45 , it is very important, it is the key, this is a revelation.

Then David said to philistine, thou comest with me sword and spear and with the shield, but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of host., the god of the armies of Israel

Now David defining in, this day, he was defining Goliath s demise, this day the Lord deliver you to my hands. I will smite you, and take your head from you, I will give the caucus of the host of Philistine, this day to the fouls of the air

He spoke exactly what he will do, so you cannot find it until you define it. In other words you have to conceive the faith image before you conquer it. Because the eagles looks and see the things far off.

All that we need a faith vision.

Eagle has a supernatural vision before it finds the prey. So the Bible makes it very clear that the Gods word produces vision, and vision produces application. When struggle begins, struggle forces us to look on unseen

Struggle produces vision, because it says our afflictions or struggle for a moment, they work for more exceeding and eternal with glory, because they calls us to look more unseen things

II. Lives in High Places

• Eagles fly at high altitudes, not with low-flying birds like sparrows or other small birds.

• Eagles are born to live in the High Places-

• Eagles are made for the high places.

o You are born to be overcomes - You were made for the high places

How to live in the High Places:

1. To live in the High Places we must be willing to leave our Comfort Zone

God has a way of getting us to leave our comfort zone. He does want to depend other believers all our lives. He causes to leave our comfort zone to go learn to fly to the high places.

2. To live in the High Places we must learn to wait on God-

Vs. 31 "But those who wait on the Lord (those who expect, look for and set their hope in Him)?

Waiting on the Lord means to "attend to , to wait upon." The word wait here is the Hebrew word Qu-vah (Kaw-Vaw,) which means "to wait, to look for , to expect, to wait eagerly, to look"

3. To live in the High Place we must mount up with Wings like Eagles-

Like eagles, we should learn to ride on the current of the Holy Spirit, instead of relying on our own strength

4. When we live in the High Places we will run & not be weary

Walk & not Faint-

“…they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint". (They will not grow tired in their faith).”

The high places are where we are refreshed

III. Eagles are Fearless

• The eagle will never surrender to the size or strength of its prey.

• It will always fight to win its prey or regain its territory.

The eagle has displayed remarkable hunting strategy, preying on goats much larger than itself by throwing them off the cliff face. If you were threatened, no matter the size of that person or what weapon they may be holding, you would attack them without thought or regard for yourself. It wouldn’t even dawn on you to be afraid because your instinct is to protect that which you love and cherish.

Life Lesson :-Successful people are fearless. They face problems head on

IV. Eagles never eat Dead Meat

An eagle never eats dead meat.

It only eats the meat from the prey it kills itself.

Eagles eat raw and fresh meat. :

Be careful about what you feed your eyes and ears with, especially on the Internet, movies, or TV.

Life lesson: Don’t waste your energy and time beating a dead horse. Know when to say goodbye and let go.

Keep your options open and your information current. Do your research and preparation. Keep things current and keep them moving.

V. Eagles are Highflyers/ Eagles Are Master Fliers

• An eagle doesn't mix with pigeons. Eagles fly alone or with their own kind

Eagle fly alone at high altitude

They don’t fly with sparrows , raven and other small birds

An eagle Christian is a Christian that soars above the storms of life.

• The eagle is a bird that takes advantage of the wind to soar, to mount up high in the heavens.

The eagle gets above the fog, the mist, and the clouds. Job puts it like this: “Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high? She dwelleth and abideth on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place” (Job 39:27-28).

A. He flies with Purpose. (He was designed to fly) There are too many yards birds in the church.

B. He flies for Pleasure. (The eagle gets his greatest joy nearest the sun.

• The higher he flies, the smaller things on the earth become.

• In others words the closer he gets to the SUN the smaller earthly things become. It is also true that closer we get to the SON the smaller earthly things become.

C. He flies for Purity. When a virus attacks his beak, the eagle will soar high to allow the air pressure to burst the build-up.

D. He flies for perspective. The high flight allows for the proper perspective of the earth. The higher the flight the larger the perspective.

E. He flies for Peace. The flying eagle has no concerns about seas and rivers. He doesn’t worry about earthly tormentors. Crows, buzzards, chickens, pigeons, humming birds etc., cannot rise to such high levels. Christians who mount up with eagle wings can enjoy that same kind of peace that liberates him from the yard birds of the church.

F. Examples of yard birds:

1. Gossip birds. (Those who talk about the demise of others)

2. Humming birds. (Those who hum and murmur about everything)

3. Buzzards (those who eat dead stuff)

4. Crow (those who boast over the distress of another)

Life lesson:

• Associate with people who are at your level, or who can help you to grow. Also, not everyone will share your vision or dream.

• Find people who think like you so that you can both dream and grow together.

• Don’t waste your time with naysayers and negative people. And don’t share your dreams with just anybody.

• You’ve got a dream? Protect it.

• Stay away from narrow minded people, those that bring you down

How Do We Mount Up With Eagle Wings.

A. Prayer enables us to mount up.

B. Meditation enables us to mount up.

C. Godly fellowship enables us to mount up.

D. Heavenly thoughts enable us to mount up.

E. focus on Christ enables us to mount up.

G. Bible study enables us to mount up.

H. Sharing God’s goodness enables us to mount up

he flies on top of the turbulent winds. Let every child of God mount up with wings of an eagle during their respective storms.

Life Lesson:- High flyers stand out of the crowds; they live an outstanding life. When you soar high above obstacles, you create an extraordinary class of your own

VI. Eagles Love the storm

Watch an eagle when a storm comes.

• When other birds fly away from the storm, an eagle spreads its mighty wings and uses the current to soar to greater heights.

• When the storm comes most of the other birds will search for a tree branch, whereas eagle uses the wind of the storm lift himself higher.

• Eagles are not like other sparrow, that they, could flap, flap, flap, they are so crazy, many of us are like that , we are so vigorous,

In fact eagles challenges the storm. That’s what Gods wants you to be

• The eagle takes advantage of the very storm that lesser birds fear and head for cover.

• They soar higher higher and higher

• They can fly high above any commercial helicopters

• They are not afraid of the rain storm

When clouds gather, the eagles uses the storm wind to lift itself higher

Once it finds the wind of the storm, the eagles uses the raging storm to lift itself above the clouds

Eagle glide with the wind of the storm above the cloud. He could easily do it. Because rains clouds are only 2000 meters high, he could fly beyond 4.6 kilometers

• He could go double the height, but he is waiting for the wind to come in and then go up in the air

• He is not panicking, he is not restless, he is resting, he is gliding. This is what God wants you to do during the challenges in life

We possess our destiny in Resting in God. Resting in Jesus. Jesus says: come to me, I will give you rest. We rest in the promises of Hid word.

The stronger the wind the higher it could soar

Life lesson:

Get excited about the storms in your life.

• Challenges bring opportunities.

• We could see the opportunities, wrapped in our challenges if we weren’t so busy, complaining and trying to avoid them.

• Embrace our challenges and learn from them. That’s how we learn new skills, grow and get stronger. Is this easy to do? Of course not. But we can learn how to.-

face your challenges head on knowing that these will make you emerge stronger and better than you were

• No matter what the challenge ahead of you

• we can use the storm of life to rise to greater heights

• achievers are not afraid to rise to greater heights.

• Achievers not afraid of challenges, rather they relish them and use them profitably

• You challenge the challenge, you confront the challenge,

• Storms in life is not there to tear us, but to lift us in the air to rest in Holy spirit

When storm comes all the animals wats to hide, chikens wants to hide, turkey wants to hide all birds wants to hide, but Eagle wants to soar up in the sky. Decide today, whether you want to be like a turkey or chicken

• You are design for the storm, you can over come it, Greater is he in you than who is in the world.

• You are an eagle Christian. You are going to soar high midst all these things

When life gives you clouds, make some rain and gives you a storm, ride on it! There is an opportunity in every opposition.

There is a testimony in every test.

The darkest clouds yield the greatest rain.

Your breaking point is your breakthrough moment. When life gives you lemons, make some lemonade.

Challenges in the life of believers are many.

These are the storms we must face as leaders to rise to greater heights. Like an eagle, a believer can only rise to greater heights if he/she takes up the challenges head on without running away from them. This is yet another characteristic

Storms in life is not there to tear us, but to lift us in the air to rest in Holy spirit

VII. Eagles Nurture their Younger generations/ The eagle is a master of change management

Eagles are known for their aggression.

They are absolutely ferocious.

Research has shown that no member of the bird family is gentler and more attentive to its young ones than the eagle.

Eagles prepare for training

Bible says in deutro 32;11 says, as eagle stir up its nest, fluttered over her young, spreadth abroad her wings, so the Lord,

Here we need to understand God

Deuteronomy we see 5 things bible says,

1. Stir up nest

2. Flitter her wings

3. Spread her wings

4. Teach them

5. And bear them on her wings

Eagle breaks up her nest.

The eaglet born in a magnificent nest, the eaglet born in a high place, think about the nest, that eagles built for their younger ones, the nest is beautiful and soft, the nest is a blessed tender home,

? The eaglets are daily fed with the choices of meat, no work, just sleep and eat,

When the eagle stop feeding the eaglet, mamma says no more food, and she stir up the nest little bit, and she starts tear up that nest apart , that’s what the bible says

Months and months eaglets were in pure comfort, and posh house, having luxury food delivered by mamma and order made to Swigy, now its come to a time where mamma says, ok boys and girls , now we have no food, we have to fly.

• And she began to tear that nest apart.

• And she began to tear that comfort apart.

• And she began to tear that they are living

• And they are left with sticks and discomfort

God is more interested in our character, than in out comfort.

When you were saved, you were just like that eaglets. God put us in comfort and in high mountains in beautiful nest, and received daily meat, and we thought this is revival

One da god says, boy and girls its time to fly, and what do we do? we are wondering and saying, Lord I am going to die.

God tear up that comfort. that happened to me and happened to you. If that doesn’t happen, then you are not grown up yet.

It doesn’t say in the bible if, it says,

when you go through the fire

when you go through the flood troubles and tribulations means that God is tearing up the nest, so you can fly your own,

the poor eaglets says mamma gas gone mad, no mama don’t tear us up, momy keeps going nothing left , some sticks. Now she does something amazing. Listen to that, as the eagles tearing up everything flatterth over her younger ones, she speard her wings and hovers over the little ones. Flatters over her young.

You know what she is saying to them: look at my wings, by looking at my wings discover your own

Look at your wing’s boys, look at your wings girls,

Those eaglets are not paid attention to their wings. The were enjoying the meat and comfort.

She spread her wins and invite them for a fly. Discover your wings

That is what God is saying, my wings, your wings are the same. , what she sowing them the real power of the wings, then she pushing you out of the comfort. Now you are in do or die situation. ,

when the push comes you are screaming, I am gonna die, you know what the mother does, she comes with huge wings spread out and picks them up and take them way back up and throws it down again.

Now, one by one the eaglets lets have been pushed out , they are flying in the air, eaglets thinking that they are going to die,

tell you this, in death, you are going to find life. In dieying , he picks you up right there.

When you think its all over, then he picks you up over here. He is teaching you how to fly

They that wait up on the Lord shall renew their strength , and they shall mount up with their wings as eagles

You are an eagle.

How eagle train their eaglets

Tear up the nest, take off the comfort, shows the eaglests the wings and its power, picks your own wings, one by one the eagle pushes those little eaglets out.

This process may go up to six seven times,

How many times that happend to you

• One after one after troubles comes and you complain to people, no I am going to die.

• God wants you to fly, use your wings, its time to use your time wisely. That you may reign in life.

What is our trial?

Trails tear the nest

We cannot grow up until god pushes out. God almighty slightly pushes out gently, so that may may learn how to fly

You cannot grow if comforts continue

We cannot grow if God cannot stir up that nest and takes our comfort out.

Growth happens in the valley not on the mountains

Would say along with me, I am an eagle made for heaven

The eagle mother teaches the younger one that we are made for heaven, a you can take up the heaven, that’s where they live that’s where they rule

In the struggle the little eaglets build their muscles.

When the mother drops them in the air,

• they are discovering their wings,

• discovering their abilities,

• discovering their power,

• discovering their muscles

o We discover out strength when we are DIVING, not by FLYING.

o We discover our strength in TRAILS not in victory

o We discover out strength in CHALLENGES not in VICTORY

o We discover our strength in PAIN not in VICTORY

o We discover our strength in BITTERNESS not in VICTORY

o Victories those are comforts

Every trials that make you perfect flyer

Many years of tears and sorrow, many questions of tomorrow and future, God gives a blessed confirmation that these trials comes to makes me strong

So we become strong in trails not in victory, victories are those comforts, beautiful nest, every day meats etc.. these are happening when we start living a Christian life.

Now it’s time to fly, time to grow, time to live, time to develop

What is God is doing here.

He stirs up the nest, he begins to spread his wings, and he begins to push you out and you start diving thinking that you are going to die then that eagle comes and picks you up, and then you learn how to fly,

What is he trying to do? He is trying to do one thing:- He is preparing you for your destiny, through difficulties and trials,

God prepares us for our destiny. People talk about destiny, but on one tells you that you trials are preparing your destiny.

You might be having a truck load of challenges in your life never give up the training process

Trials makes you strong and trails reveals your destiny and trails prepare for your destiny

Then when you are ready, the things begin to change, that’s where Issiah 40: 30 happens :- but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint

Before you could mount up, he is dropping you down, you can only mount up, if you are down

Let me say something here, during the process of training you learn the current of the winds. And they get the message,

When that eaglet become an eagle, its stan up on a rock, that’s the word of God. Wait for the current of the winds to strong enough, to surrender our wings to that wind, Thts the holy ghost.

She now know the currents of the wind, she did learn it through that process of up and down, up down, up down, up down

Current of the wind and ways of the spirit is learned through the trails and tribulations.

Are you going through some trails, its ok, you are going to capture heavens, you will fly high again

Life lesson:

• Great people invest in the younger generation by teaching them the lessons of life with love. They give their mentees daring challenges but never forget to empower and direct them in the proper way.

• True success invests in others till they become successful in life. Whatever you have learnt in life, pass it on to worthy trustees and history will be kind to you.

• 2. it is time to move on, grow and spread our wings. Further, the people who genuinely care about us will not encourage us in our slothfulness and fear.

Leave your comfort zone, there is no growth there

VIII. Rebirth involves death of the old-self/ Renews Itself.

Eagles Go Through Renewal-

Isaiah 40:31 They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."

Psalms 103:5 Who satisfied thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

when old eagle feathers become weak and cannot take him as fast and as high as it should. This makes him weak and could make him die, so he retires to a place far away in the mountains.

While there he plucks out the weak feathers in his body and breaks and claws against the rocks until he is completely bare.

Then he stays in this hiding place until he has grown new feathers, new beaks and class.

Amazing facts about eagle

• Egale has the longest life span among all the birds- it can live up to 70 years

• But to reach this age, eagle must make hard decision

In its 40’s – the eagles long and flexible talons can no longer grab prey which serves as food.

Its long and sharp beak becomes bent

The eagles old-aged heavy wings due to their thick feathers , become stuck to its chest and make it difficult to fly

Then eagle is left with only two options- die or go with painful process of change which last for 150 days

o This process requires that the eagle fly to a mountain top and sit on its nest

o There the eagle knocks its beak against a rock until it plucks it out

o After plucking it the eagle will wait for a new beak to grow back

o Then it will pluck out its talons when its new talons grow back

o The eagle starts plucking its old aged feathers and after five months

o The eagles takes its famous flight of rebirth and lives for 30 more years

Life lesson:

o No pain, no gain. Many of us want success but cant go through the process of sacrifice, handwork, disappointments and heartbreak that comes with it.

To survive and grow, we must be willing to change.

And sometimes, we may even need to go a step further — a death of the old self and a total rebirth.

o Ending toxic relationships,

o leaving toxic jobs,

o getting rid of destructive habits, thoughts, traditions and mind-sets that no longer serve us.-

we occasionally need to shed off old habit no matter how difficult things that burden us or add no value to our lives should be let go off

o It is important to constantly renew yourself by shedding off those bad habits, and getting yourself out of the rut.

o We sometimes need to get rid of old painful memories, habits and heartaches.

o Only freed from past burdens, can we take advantage of the present and live a life of peace in Christ Jesus

Decide today, whether you want to be like a turkey or chicken

You are design for the storm, you can over come it, Greater is he in you than who is in the world. You are an eagle Christian. You are going to soar high in the midst of all these things

o You cannot be a strong Christian until you through some challenges

o You cannot be a true eagle Christian unless you know how to defeat satan with your word and with the word of God

o You cannot be proper eagle Christian without knowing the part of the son of God

o You cannot be an eagle Christian without having a super natural vision job 39:29- she seeks the prey and her eyes behold far off

The minute you become and eagle, you talks like a winner.

Winner talks about POSSIBILITIES- Losers talk about IMPOSSIBILITIES

Winner talks about OPPORTUNITIES- Losers talk about LACKNESS

Winner talks about YES but losers talks about NO

Winner talks about Gods provision and prosperity

Loosers talks about obstacles

Loosers talks about lack

You have to see yourself as a winner not as looser, as a conqueror not as slave

You are going to soar high in the midst of all these things
