Summary: God hates certain things and He Loves Certain things

7 Things God Hates & Things God Loves

Book of Proverbs

Proverbs 6:16-19 NIV

There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him:

1. Haughty eyes,

2. a lying tongue,

3. hands that shed innocent blood,

4. a heart that devises wicked schemes,

5. feet that are quick to rush into evil,

6. a false witness who pours out lies

7. a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

The Book of Proverbs is a gold mine for those who desire to live life to its fullest in the will of God.

Proverbs has been studied, memorized, quoted, and applied to life for thousands of years and yet its wisdom has never become outdated, its principles have never failed, and its power for shaping the lives of young and old alike has never been diminished.

The Book of Proverbs is attributed to King Solomon, the son of Israel’s greatest King, King David.

? Solomon was the tenth son of David and the second son born to Bathsheba.

? He became the third King of Israel following his father, David, and he reigned as King of Israel for about 40 years, between the years 965-922 B.C. In

1 Kings 4 we read about Solomon’s wisdom and the source of the wisdom Solomon possessed.

(1 Kings 4:29-34 NIV)

Solomon was one wise dude.

? God had blessed him with an incredible mind.

? Solomon was wise beyond anyone who has ever lived.

? He spoke 3,000 proverbs and wrote over 1,000 songs.

? He could speak with authority and confidence about topics like botany, biology, zoology, herpetology, ornithology, and ichthyology, but the greatest wisdom Solomon shared was wisdom pertaining to living life.

? Men came from nations far and wide to simply sit and listen to Solomon speak.

? The Lord Loved him so much

Proverbs are general principles and patterns, not promises or guarantees.

A “proverb” is “a short, pregnant sentence or phrase whose meaning is applicable in many situations, with imagery or striking verbal form to assist the memory.”

? We in the church have failed to remind this generation that while God is love, He also has the capacity to hate.

? He hates sin, and He will judge it with the fierceness of His wrath.

? This generation is schooled in the teaching about an indulgent, soft-hearted God whose judgments are uncertain and who coddles those who break His commandments.

? This generation finds it difficult to believe that God hates sin.

? I tell you that God hates sin just as a father hates a rattlesnake that threatens the safety and life of his child.

? God loathes evil and diabolic forces that would pull people down to a godless eternity just as a mother hates a venomous spider that is found playing on the soft, warm flesh of her little baby.

? God is a tender, compassionate God who is rich in mercy and grace, but He is also a God of justice—One who hates and abhors sin in every form.

? Preachers often seem to fail in reminding people that while our God is essentially a God of love, He also has the capacity to hate.

A coin has two sides as there is light and darkness, or good and evil.

There is love as there is hatred. God both loves and hates

What you have to decide then is whether or not you will love what is right while hate what is evil. In addition, it’s always a good idea to know the 7 things God hates.

The passage clearly declares that God hats 7 things

This is not a complete list of things that are an abomination to God.

Other Things God Hates

Aside from the seven things God hates, the Scripture also outlines what God abhors (Exodus 20:1-17). Here are other things God hates:

• Bowing to any deity other than Him

• Worshipping any graven image or concept instead of God

• Taking His name in vain.

• Forgetting the Sabbath Day

• Disrespecting your parents

• Murder

• Adultery

• Thievery

• Lying to defame another’s a good name

What does God hate, you ask? Solomon answers the question in the Book of Proverbs

The word “abomination” appears 174 times in the Bible.

In Proverbs 6 we are given a list of seven “specials”—seven things that are extremely disgusting in the eyes of God.

? It is important for every Christian to take a serious look at those things which are disgusting to God.

1. God Hates a Proud Look/ The Lord hates Haughty Eyes

? Pride is basically an exaggerated sense of self-esteem.

? Pride is putting ourselves on a pedestal above others.

? Pride is an arrogant, almost boastful, inflated opinion of one’s own worth and ability. Pride takes many different forms:

There is a pride of intellect—an arrogance that assumes one knows more than others. We might excel in one area, but all of us are just plain stupid in other areas of knowledge.

There is a pride of power—the passion to achieve, to dominate, and to give orders.

There is a pride of nation—the deification of one’s national homeland, a false pride that results in racism and bigotry toward others.

There is a spiritual pride—the pride of those who glory in their own spiritual attainments. (If only everyone else in the church would be like we are—or think like we do!)

There is a pride of face—an unreasonable self-esteem connected with the way one appears on the outside.

But Proverbs 6 says that God hates “a proud look”—and that’s on the outside!

Over and over again, we are told in the Scriptures that God resists the proud.

Over and over again, all of us should fall on our knees and ask God to deliver us from every trace of conceit and undue self-esteem.

? God hates a proud look. The Bible says, “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall” (Proverbs 16:18). It says, “those who walk in pride He is able to put down” (Daniel 4:37). And again the Bible says, “Behold, I am against you, O most haughty one!” (Jeremiah 50:31).

? In almost every instance in the Bible, as well as in life, pride is associated with failure, not success. We hear a great deal about the inferiority complex, but the superiority complex of pride is seldom spoken of. Pride caused the fall of Lucifer, and he became Satan, the devil.

? Pride keeps thousands away from Christ today. What will my friends say? What will my family think? Will my reputation be affected if I become a Christian?

? Jesus said, “And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted” (Matthew 23:12). The entrance to the Kingdom of Heaven is gained through your coming in humility.

? The greatest act of humility in the history of the universe was when Jesus Christ stooped to die on the cross of Calvary. And before anyone can get to Heaven, they must kneel at the foot of the cross and acknowledge that they are a sinner, that they have broken the commandments of God and that they need the grace of God in Christ. No one can come proudly to the Savior.

Reasons Why God Hates a Proud Look

• Pride was the first sin to destroy the calm of eternity.

• It was pride that cast Lucifer from heaven and it was pride that cost our first parents their place in Paradise. Pride is the first sin to enter a man’s heart and the last to leave.

• No sin is more offensive to God than the sin of pride.

• Pride has been referred to as the “complete anti-God state of mind.”

• It militates against God’s authority, God’s law, and God’s rule. This is why the Bible equates rebellion with witchcraft (1 Sam. 15:23). Pride assaults God’s throne and asserts its independence in an attempt to dislodge God as the Sovereign of the universe.

God and pride are like oil and water— they don’t mix! Pride is dogmatic in its antagonism to God and God is absolute in His opposition to pride. The Creator never has and never will compromise with pride.

Humility is the foundation of all virtue, but pride is the essence of all sin.

The world system operates on the basis of pride for all that is in the world is lust and pride (1 John 2:16).

Pride and lust are root sins from which all other sins spring. Pride is the mother of evil.

God detests pride. He even hates a proud look (Prov. 6:16-17). God’s loathing of pride is unalterable, for “Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD” (Prov. 16:5). But why does God hate pride so fiercely?

PRIDE IS SATANIC

? Never forget that God did not make the Devil—Lucifer only became the devil when he arrogantly became infatuated with himself.

? Yes, Lucifer is a created being. God said, “Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee” (Ezek. 28:15).

? This beautiful, powerful, intelligent, and gifted cherub fell from his perfect estate when his heart was lifted up because of his own beauty and brightness (v. 17). No longer was he willing to be subservient to the Creator. Staggering pride was to blame for the tragedy in heaven.

“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! … For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne … I will sit also upon the mount … I will ascend above the heights…I will be like the most High” (Isa. 14:12-14).

PRIDE SPAWNS PRAYERLESSNESS

? Pride can keep you from apologizing when you’ve been wrong.

? Pride can cause you to defend yourself.

? Pride can cause you to look down on others.

? If you allow it, pride can rob you of the most treasured relationships in life. “He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife” (Prov. 28:25).

PRIDE RESULTS IN GOSSIP

The proud heart will detect defects in others before himself.

A humble soul sees the evil in his own heart before he sees evil in others.

PRIDE MAKES A FALSE BOAST

Samson killed a lion with his bare hands and didn’t even tell his parents.

if a modern Christian so much as killed a mouse he would publish it in the gospel gazette! Man may be reluctant to acknowledge his wrongs, but most are quick to publicize their accomplishments. “Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness” (Prov. 20:6).

The Bible warns us about thinking more highly of ourselves than we ought. No man has a right to an inflated view of himself.

Under the influence of pride a man takes on the air of a master. He is more likely to instruct others than inquire for himself. A humble Christian wants help from everybody, but the spiritually proud thinks everybody wants his help.

Once Spurgeon had preached a powerful sermon. As soon as he had finished his message the devil whispered to him, “That was a fine sermon. You preached magnificently!” For a moment he agreed with the devil. Leaving the pulpit, a deacon met him and said, “Pastor, that was a masterpiece.” Spurgeon interrupted and said, “You’re too late. The devil told me that a few moments ago.”

PRIDE BRINGS SHAME

“When pride cometh, then cometh shame” (Prov. 11:2).

After his journey through the valley of humiliation Nebuchadnezzar realized, “Those that walk in pride he is able to abase” (Dan. 4:37). He surely learned the proverb, “A man’s pride shall bring him low” (Prov. 29:23).

PRIDE PRECEDES A FALL

Those who built the Titanic pronounced the great ship unsinkable. With boldness and confidence they boasted of the great safety this vessel afforded. But on its maiden voyage the unsinkable ship sank. The Titanic mentality of invincibility sets the stage for collapse. “Before destruction the heart of man is haughty” (Prov. 18:12).

Repeatedly, the scripture warns of pride precipitating a fall. “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall” (Prov. 16:18).

TOWARD HUMILITY

? Pride is a sin to be hated,

? a sin to be confessed,

? a sin to mourn over,

? a sin to flee, and a sin to fight against. William Law commented,

“Pride must die, or nothing of heaven can live in you.” God resists the proud, but He gives grace to the humble.

we must bring pride to the foot of the cross to be washed away by the blood of Jesus.

Surveying the wondrous cross surely makes it easier to pour contempt on all our pride. Even though pride is hateful to God, the powerful blood of Jesus can cleanse it away.

If pride is the evil of evils, then humility is the virtue of virtues. Like the pearl of great price, it is worth selling all to obtain.

Humility is our responsibility. Humility is a choice, and so is pride. How do you plead?

2. God Hates a Lying Tongue

Your mouth can block your blessings

Proverbs 18:21

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.

• With the tongue Caesar sent armies to war,

• Adolf Hitler incited mass genocide and cults like Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Mormons sprang up.

• With the tongue Wesley preached to thousands,

• With tongue Winston Churchill inspired a nation to stand firm

• With tongue Billy Graham brought millions to faith.

The power of tongue

• It is one of the smaller organs of the body.

• The weight for a male is about 70 grams, for a female, 60 grams. However, its potential for evil is so great God saw fit to imprison it

The strongest muscle in the body is the tongue muscle. It has got 8 muscles

• Your tongue has 2,000 - 4,000 TASTE BUDS.

• Each contains sensory cells that are replaced every week.

• Your tongue print is as unique as a fingerprint

• Your tongue can say a lot about your health.

• Your tongue can actually provide clues about your overall health.

Yawning is actually a reaction that sends more oxygen to your brain

Tongue is always behind a double jailer: the teeth and the lips. I am talking about the human tongue.

Recent research has revealed that there are few

places more infested with harmful bacteria than the human mouth.

More than one hundered million microscopic critters live there. Fungus grows in the oral cavity.

Master your tongue or it will master your life,

I came across a statistic that shocked me. I was not sure I believed it.

? I read that the average person speaks 11 million words a year.

? Do you know how many words that is in a lifetime? At the age of 65 it is seventy-one million, five hundred thousand words. Imagine the magnitude of that many words.

When you see the doctor the first, he is checking is the tongue.

He can diagnose the illness only by looking at the tongue. (Mt 12:34). How we speak reveals a lot about us

If you can master your tongue you can master your whole body.

However, James points out that the tongue is basically untamable, and that it is itself set on fire by hell

The Greek word for hell here is Gehenna, which is the valley of Hinnom, the garbage dump of Jerusalem, where the fires are never quenched, where they burned everything from garbage to criminal’s bodies

We tame animals, says James, but we cannot tame this tiny piece of our bodies!

? A “lie” is a statement that is distorted and untrue. It is a falsehood that causes an incorrect impression. A lie is any action that is intended to mislead, or to deceive another.

? The Bible says that God hates every form of lying, and in fact God’s Word declares that no liar shall have any part in the kingdom of heaven (Revelation 21:8).

? A lying tongue is contrary to everything that is precious to God.

? Our God is a lover of truth (Numbers 23:19), and He loathes any activity that is contrary to the absolute truth.

? There are many forms of lying, but the most common evidence of a lying tongue among some of God’s people is the activity of slander.

3. God Hates Hands That Shed Innocent Blood

Human life is sacred to God. Death is a tremendous doorway, a doorway through which human beings pass into one of two eternal destinies. Only God has a right to open that door, and therefore the commandment, “Thou shalt not kill.”

We all marvel at the progress made by the medical profession in securing and saving life, and yet at the same time all of us are probably shocked at how lightly the life of others is regarded in our day.

? In some of our big cities, more than a dozen persons are stabbed or shot and killed every weekend.

? Modern music, movies and television are filled with images of violence and killing.

? A society that allows television violence in the living room each evening, should not be surprised to find lawlessness and violence on the increase.

? One of our nation’s leading news magazines reported recently that by the age of 16, the average child sees 200,000 acts of violence on television.

? And children who watch violence on television become so insensitive to death, that when people are being killed, they sometimes giggle and crack jokes, and even applaud the one who is doing the killing.

Mother Teresa (winner of a Nobel Peace Prize) shared another important fact when she was speaking to a roomful of American political leaders. She tied the practice of abortion to the rising rates of violence in the streets.

Mother Teresa said, “If we accept the policy that a mother may kill her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill each other?”

Did you notice how these first 3 things God hates are characteristics of Lucifer? Pride, deceit, and violence…

4. God Hates a Heart That Devises Wicked Plans

The “heart” is the seat of one’s physical, spiritual, and mental life.

? The word “heart” is used in Scripture to designate the whole inner person—including the motives, affections, feelings, desires, and thoughts. Proverbs 4:23 says that “out of the heart are the issues of life.”

Problems related to the heart are much discussed these days.

People with high blood pressure or elevated cholesterol counts, are watching the progress of their hearts closely.

But all of us have to deal with a heart disease of a different kind. Because “the heart is deceitful above all things and is desperately wicked” (Jeremiah 17:9),

? we must guard carefully our actions and our speech, and especially our reactions to various situations that arise in life.

.

These are problems of the heart. We might be able to keep calm when things go smoothly, but sudden stress reveals a heart that is not under control.

Habits and actions and speech are all on the surface, and others can observe them in our daily living. But hidden at a deeper level, we have desires, thoughts, and motives—unseen and unknown by anyone until they express themselves in word or deed.

Man looks on the outward appearance, but “the Lord looks on the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7). Or, as the Psalmist says, “God knows the secrets of the heart” (Psalm 44:21).

The heart of each human being, in its unregenerate state—is a laboratory of evil,.

Heart-keeping is much like house-keeping.

There must be a continual sweeping out of dirt, and a cleaning out of rubbish.

? Martin Luther’s statement is still true: “You cannot stop the birds from flying over your head, but you can keep them from building a nest in your hair.”

? We are to place our thoughts into captivity and make them obedient to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).

? This means that we must make deliberate efforts to censor what we read, to guard what we listen to, and to be careful what we laugh at.

? God hates hearts that devise wicked imaginations.

5. He hates feet that rush into Evil

? If evil thoughts and imaginations are nurtured and fed, they eventually lead to outward acts of sin.

? Our feet follow where our hearts and minds and thoughts have already gone.

? Proverbs 23:7 says that as we think in our hearts, so are we.

? God hates feet that are swift to run into mischief.

? The “mischief” spoken of in Proverbs 6:18 refers to evil actions of any kind.

The book of synonyms (the Thesaurus) includes the following words as substitutes for “mischief”:

? impairment,

? damage,

? injury,

? harm,

? discord,

? conflict,

? friction,

? evil,

? destruction, etc.

Mischief carries with it the idea of hurtful conduct which is often done only as a joke. It is closely related to “foolishness.”

And we must remember that “foolishness” is one of the thirteen sins mentioned in Mark 7:22 where Jesus talks about theft and covetousness and blasphemy.

There is a proper place for teasing and good clean fun, but each of us must decide where the line is to be drawn between good clean humor, and what amounts to a pure waste of time and a mischievous use of words.

Loud laughter and wise-cracking and foolish joking are really violations of God’s instruction in Colossians 4:5-6.

6. God Hates False Witnesses That Speak Lies/ A false witness who pours out Lies

The lying tongue is an offense so serious that it is mentioned twice in this short series of abominable sins.

In addition to gossiping, back-biting, and tale-bearing—it may in this case also refer to perjury when giving a testimony before a court of law.

We are living in perilous times.

A recent poll on truthfulness among Americans claims that “two out of every three Americans see nothing wrong with telling a lie.”

God repeatedly warns against going up and down as a talebearer among the people (Leviticus 19:16; Proverbs 17:9; Proverbs 18:8; Proverbs 26:22). We are told in Isaiah 30:15 that “in quietness and confidence shall be your strength.”

All of us need to pledge today to do less talking and more praying;

? to give less criticism and more affirmation;

? to be more strict with ourselves and more gracious toward others.

One little poem says, “There is a little door, that everyone can close, and that’s the little door, just underneath your nose.”

If we do that, there will be less talebearing, and as a result, there will be less bearing false witness. God hates false witnesses who speak lies.

7. Those Who Sow Discord Among Brethren/ He detests men who cause Dissension

• God is pleased when He sees His children living together in harmony and peace.

• He is deeply troubled when discord and strife surface in the church.

The Thesaurus gives a whole list of words that can be substituted for “discord.”

• They are disagreement,

• disunity,

• disharmony,

• variance,

• conflict,

• noncooperation,

• friction,

• tension,

• enmity, etc.

Some who profess faith in Christ are absolute experts at sowing discord. They thrive on tension and sarcasm.

? They put up roadblocks within the fellowship. They seem unaware of the fact that God says, “I hate discord.”

? God has commissioned the church to spread the Gospel to a dying world, but many times we sit in our comfortable pews and shoot at the saints.

But one who “speaks evil” of an absent person is giving evidence of a lack of love.

There are probably no other sins named in the Bible that are condemned more severely than the sin of needlessly repeating the faults of other people.

There is perhaps nothing that God hates more.

? Titus 3:2 says, “Speak evil of no man.”

? Ephesians 4:31 says, “Let all evil speaking be put away from you.”

? James 4:11 says, “Speak not evil one of another.”

? If we see something in another person that needs correction, we should follow the instructions which Jesus gave as recorded in Matthew 18:15-17, and go and speak directly with the offending person.

If the issue is not important enough to use that approach, then we need to pray for the brother or sister, and hope that God will bring change for the better.

At this moment you can receive Christ. He will forgive every sin that you have ever committed and give you new strength, new power over the temptations of life. But first you must renounce your sins, confess them and receive Christ into your heart. Will you do that right now? You can at this moment, and He will change your life.

Things God Loves

1. God Loves The World

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior made the greatest sacrifice in history when He allowed His flesh body to perish on the Cross for the Redemption of our sins. He laid down His life, becoming our Passover Lamb, so that we could have the opportunity at Eternal Life, if we so choose.

John 15:13 tells us, “greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” Christ displayed the greatest act of love possible toward us through His ultimate sacrifice.

2. God Loves Sinners

Romans 5:8

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

“God is love”, He defines the very word, (1 John 4:8). This is why our Heavenly Father is “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance,” (2 Peter 3:9). He has “no pleasure in the death of the wicked” and He has “set before you life and death, therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live,” (Ezekiel 33:11, Deuteronomy 30:19)

.

Our Father sent His only begotten Son into the world, for the entire world, but especially the sinner. Christ tells us, “they that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance,” (Mark 2:17).

3. God Loves Those Who Believe In Jesus Christ

John 16:27

For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved Me, and have believed that I came out from God.

Jesus Christ is the way, the only way to Eternal Salvation, (John 14:6). Our Heavenly Father loves those who not only believe in His Son, but love Him.

Think about the depth of that for a moment. It is not only belief, but love. When you love someone, that means you go out of your way to please them and make them happy. Naturally, our children do this for us, they follow the rules of the household out of love and respect for their parents, (when they are taught discipline). We should apply that same logic to our Father and Christ.

4. God Loves Those Who Love Him

Proverbs 8:17

I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

When we love our Heavenly Father it means we live by His Laws. “Love” is not just a four letter word.

When we love God it means we seek Him out as Christ told us in Matthew 7:7-8. It means we do our best to lead a life that is pleasing to Him and we should understand God is “a rewarder of them that diligently seek him,” (Hebrews 11:6). “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose,” (Romans 8:28).

5. God Loves Those Who Keep His Commandments

Deuteronomy 7:9

Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations.

The Twelve Tribes of Israel were always blessed when they followed the Commandments and Laws of our Father, they only lost God’s protection when they fell away from Him and His Word.

One of my favorite examples of God’s Love to those who keep His Commandments concerns, Abraham. Due to his unbending faith, trust and love for God, Abraham was blessed with an everlasting covenant that was placed on him and his descendants, (Genesis 17:21, 22:1-13).

6. God Loves Those He Corrects

Proverbs 3:12

For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

Correcting is disciplinary action, remember that. We discipline those we love and our Father applies this same logic to us. God disciplines us when we veer from Him on our walk through life, when we know better. Never confuse discipline with a burden, God does not place burdens on His children, (Jeremiah 23:33-40).

A great example that always comes to mind is the Israelites who wandered in the wilderness for forty years, (Numbers 32:13). Our Father loved them, but when they were disobedient, He had to provide discipline, otherwise they would have veered so far away from Him, they would have never returned on their own.

7. God Loves Justice

Psalms 37:28

For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

Our Father loves judgment, it restores order and corrects the sinner. This verse can be documented in many other places. In the great book of Daniel, we are told our Father will issue Judgement and His Kingdom will be given to Christ and the Saints, (Daniel 7:9-11; 13-14; 18).

8. God Loves The Righteous

Psalms 11:7

For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

Also: Proverbs 15:9, Psalms 33:5, 146:8

Our Father loves “righteousness” and the righteous.

The righteous are those who live by our Father’s Word to the best of their ability and when they fall short, they cease from their sin and ask our Father for forgiveness.

9. God Loves A Cheerful Giver

2 Corinthians 9:7

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

If you think that means God loves the person who can put the most into the treasury box you are badly mistaken. God loves those who give honestly and from their heart.

We have no greater example than the poor widow who placed “two mites”, into the treasury, an amount not even equal to a single penny, yet it was everything she had and Christ counted it as good, (Mark 12:41-44).

10. God Loves Those Who Trust Him

Psalms 17:7

See thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them.

Also: Psalms 36:7

This has always been the case. Do not read over the word “lovingkindness”, when God loves you this deeply it means He is always looking out for you. We can learn a great example from Daniel who was in bondage with the rest of the Twelve Tribes of Israel. Though Daniel was in bondage, God always kept him in favor of king Nebuchadnezzar.

Why?

Daniel always stood by God.

Due to that, God made Daniel second in command under the rule of the Babylonian king, (Daniel 1:9, 2:46-48).

God loves when we trust Him completely!

Hebrews 11:7 By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

Noah had never seen rain and yet he trusted God, and for 120 years Noah built an ark!

Psalm 147:11 The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear Him, In those who hope in His mercy.
