Isaiah 54:1-5 TPT
“Rejoice with singing, you barren one! You who have never given birth, burst into a song of joy & shout, you who have never been in labor! For the deserted wife will have more children than the married one,” says Yahweh. “Increase is coming, so enlarge your tent & add extensions to your dwelling. Hold nothing back! Make the tent ropes longer & the pegs stronger. You will increase & spread out in every direction. Your sons & daughters will conquer nations & revitalize desolate cities. Do not fear, for your shame is no more. Do not be embarrassed, for you will not be disgraced. You will forget the inadequacy you felt in your youth & will no longer remember the shame of your widowhood. For your Maker is your husband; His name is Yahweh, Commander of Angel Armies! Your Kinsman-Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel! He has the title Mighty God of All the Earth!
It is time to ask yourself, “what do I really believe God can accomplish with my life? What do I really believe He wants to accomplish with my life? How has that been going for me in years gone by?”
I am here to tell you that our God is a God that is Intentional & On Purpose!
Nothing is going to happen by accident.
We are going to grab His Word & declare it is truth!
And because it is truth, I am going to get it in me & begin to see “More in 2024!”
Our focus must change from what it is I want to see, to seeing that my desires come from what He desires.
I. God’s Desires…
That is a good place to start as we begin looking into “More in 2024”.
3 John 1:2 AMP Beloved, I pray that in every way you may succeed & prosper & be in good health [physically], just as [I know] your soul prospers [spiritually].
He desires us to grow & prosper in every area of our lives as we grow & prosper spiritually in His purpose.
Matthew 6:33 TPT So above all, constantly seek God’s kingdom & His righteousness, then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly.
Philippians 4:19 TPT I am convinced that my God will fully satisfy every need you have, for I have seen the abundant riches of glory revealed to me through Jesus Christ!
So if I am convinced by faith that God desires to meet my personal needs, then He must want my attention to be focused on that He desires to do through me.
Now it is easy to see why trust is so critical in this walk with our Lord.
Proverbs 3:5-8 NLT Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, & He will show you which path to take. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord & turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body & strength for your bones.
II. Alignment with His Purpose…
When trust really connects in this relationship with our Redeemer, a passion begins to develop to do that which blesses & pleases Him.
His departing words to His church (disciples back then) was found in Matthew.
Matthew 28:18-20 NLT Jesus came & told His disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven & on earth. Therefore, go & make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father & the Son & the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
If we are not careful, we allow the enemy to get us so tied up in the circumstances & affairs of our life right now that we lose focus on the real eternal purpose that we exist on this earth in Jesus.
The “Great Commission” is the whole reason for the cross & resurrection. God saw a lost humanity & put a plan in place to bring healing into our brokenness.
Luke 4:18-19 NLT “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for He has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me (you) to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, & that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.”
Notice…God supplies all that is necessary for us to carry out His purpose.
• Good news to those poor naturally & spiritually…
• Anointing for captives by the enemy to be released…
• Those who can’t see anything good will have eyes opened to see how good God is…
• The oppressed/depressed will be set free…
Are you seeing this…alignment with God’s purpose is seeing what He revealed through His Word is His heart’s desire.
Proverbs 4:10-12 TPT My son, if you will take the time to stop & listen to Me & embrace what I say, you will live a long & happy life full of understanding in every way. I have taken you by the hand in wisdom’s ways, pointing you to the path of integrity. Your progress will have no limits when you come along with Me, & you will never stumble as you walk along the way.
III. Time for Greater Release…
What would you say it is that has held you back from a “greater release” of what God has told us He wants to do through us?
As we reflect & hear what God is saying, we must embrace the fact that most of us are missing out on a lot of provision that has been made available.
Then there is the other part…how many people have missed out on some of what God wants to do in them because the Holy Spirit was trying to get us to hear & obey so that those people could receive the impact God desires in their life.
God sent Moses to be the voice for letting the people know what His desire was for them in their critical hour.
He has sent voices through His church today to remind people of His purpose & provision for this hour.
Out of all the times of demonstration of God’s Presence, we are living in the greatest hour the world will ever see! “More in 2024”
Haggai 2:6-9 NLT “For this is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: In just a little while I will again shake the heavens & the earth, the oceans & the dry land. I will shake all the nations, & the treasures of all the nations will be brought to this Temple. I will fill this place with glory, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. The silver is mine, & the gold is mine, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. The future glory of this Temple will be greater than its past glory, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. And in this place I will bring peace. I, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, have spoken!”
I hope you are beginning to see God’s desire for “More in 2024”!
Mark 16:17-18 TPT 'And these miracle signs will accompany those who believe: They will drive out demons in the power of My name. They will speak in tongues. They will be supernaturally protected from snakes & from drinking anything poisonous. And they will lay hands on the sick & heal them.'
How many believers are in this house right now?
If we come around with a mic, how many can share a testimony of God working thru you doing these signs that follow believers?
Matthew 10:1;8 NLT Jesus called His twelve disciples together & gave them authority to cast out evil spirits & to heal every kind of disease & illness. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, & cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!
• How many of us in this room have received some kind of touch & freedom from Jesus?
• Would we say that those things He done has made us desire to follow Him?
Jesus said, now that you have received it is time for you to “pay it forward”.
John 14:12-13 TPT I tell you this timeless truth: The person who follows Me in faith, believing in Me, will do the same mighty miracles that I do—even greater miracles than these because I go to be with My Father! For I will do whatever you ask Me to do when you ask Me in My name. And that is how the Son will show what the Father is really like & bring glory to Him.
Is anybody getting ahold of what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to His church this morning? It is the hour for “More in 2024”!
He is looking for those who will put their reservations aside, fears aside, doubts & excuses to allow the Holy Spirit to freely flow thru our faith.
This is our year to just let God be God everywhere we go!
Freely we have received & we will now freely give to others!
