Liberation of the Captured Glory

Study Text: Isaiah 60: 1 - 3

Introduction:

- Everyone born of God has a glory to manifest because Salvation releases us from the hold of darkness to a marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9

- It is the will of God that we manifest His glory as His children.

- The Devil recognizes this, and he is doing everything possible to keep a child of God in obscurity in one area or the other of his life.

- God has made available everything we need to manifest and He is also challenging us to arise and shine.

- Whatever level you are, there is a higher level, whatever glory you manifest, there is a greater glory to manifest as you hold on to the Word of God, you will surely experience a super glory in all areas of your life by His grace.

- God is speaking to you; He is calling you by name to arise and shine because your light is come, and the glory of God is risen upon you.

- We shall be discussing the topic under three subheadings:

1. Glory Explained

2. Glory Encaged

3. Glory Enjoyed

1. Glory Explained

- Glory is what God has made you or deposited in you, and that He wants you to manifest for everyone, so that all the people can glorify God in your life.

- When Jacob was hunting the Birthright of Esau, it was because of the glory of receiving double portions of the inheritance.

- When Cain was angry with Abel because he was accepted and commended, to the extent that he has to kill him fast, it was because of the glory of what Abel could become as a result of the favour of God upon his life.

- When the brother of Joseph conceived the idea of killing him, it was because of the fear of the great glory that Joseph was destined to manifest as revealed to him in a Divine revelation.

- King Herod destroyed the lives of many children just because he was afraid of the glory of Jesus, and didn't want it to manifest.

- David was envied and hated by his brothers since the day he was selectively anointed in the presence of them all, because they were afraid of the great glory he will manifest.

- Saul began to look for how to terminate David's life after killing Goliath and the women sang to ascribe greater honour to David than King Saul. He was simply trying to capture the glory.

- There are people who have a foreknowledge of the glory you carry, either by Divine revelation, observation, suspicion or through Satanic powers, and some of them will try all things possible to capture the glory and prevent the glorious manifestations through it.

- When the glory is captured, it will become impossible to fulfill Divine purpose and destiny and all forms of glorious manifestations would be put on hold in the life of the victim.

- The glory will make you to excel in certain areas of your life above your equals and even superiors, and it will make you to be honoured and envied.

- When David stood over Goliath, drawing Goliath’s sword and cutting off his head and lifted it up, it was a manifestation of glory.

- David began to shine in Israel. He never went back to the bush to remain a shepherd boy.

- The glory was so much that the King requested to know his father for the first time.

- You have a glory from God, and He desires that you manifest your glory to the fullest for His name to be glorified.

- Men do not light a lamp and put it under the table. It begins to drive away darkness, and gives light to the people around.

- When Joseph began to shine in Israel and Pharaoh asked him to go and bring his father and bring his brothers, it was a manifestation of glory.

- God is interested in what you will become and what you will bring: to bring influence and to command respect in your family, in the community and in the Church.

- That is the glory God wants you to manifest apart from bringing glorious influence of righteousness upon the people that are around you.

2. Glory Captured.

- The Bible revealed to us the overall agenda and mission of the Devil, that he has come to steal, to kill, and to destroy. John 10:10

- Whenever he succeeds in fulfilling this mission in a man's life, then, we can say he has captured the glory.

- The Bible also made us to know that the Devil carries out his assignment by looking for opportunities to take advantage of. 1 Peter 5:8

- He has a well organized network of agents of darkness working with and for him to accomplish his missions in the life of men. Ephesians 6: 10 - 12

- There are several strategies for capturing the glory of a man:

1. Through Exchange

- A bright glory will be taken away and replace with a dull one.

- Jacob succeeded in exchanging the Birthright of Esau with a morsel of portage.

- The enemy has succeeded in exchanging people's brains, wombs, foetus and fortunes.

2. Through Manipulation

- The same glory is retrained, but has been altered in a different direction outside the will of God.

- Mordecai was destined to be honoured as a Chief in the palace, but he was only a poor man at the King's gate until his glory was liberated.

- Can you imagine the glorious transformation in the life of the man at the Beautiful Gate after his glory was liberated.

- Some who carry the glory of a great preacher have become a mere motivational speaker, some ministers in Gospel songs have become worldly musicians due to manipulation of glory.

3. Through Robbery

- People's glory has been snatched or forcefully taken from them in the spirit realm, and this will manifest in the realms of the physical.

4. Through Deception

- We are plainly informed that the Devil can transformed into an angel of light and use deception to make people to lose their glory. 2 Corinthians 11:14

- The man of God from Judah lost his glory through deception of the enemy. The old prophet lied to him that an angel spoke to him to bring him back and to eat contrary to the word of God. 1 King 13: 11-22

5. Through Negotiations

- The enemy can negotiate with you for your glory to get your consent for taking it, even if it means due to ignorance or carelessness.

- The Devil negotiated with Jesus to take all the riches of the world and bow down to worship him.

- Balaak was negotiating with prophet Balaam with money, honour and position so as to curse the people of God against the will of God.

- People offer you money and gifts for sex, offer you wealth and positions for the life of your loved ones.

6. Through Doubt and Unbelief.

- The Devil will make you to doubt the Word and power of God and through Unbelief to seek for alternative way out against the will of God.

- The King of Israel sent to enquire from the god of Ekron, but was resisted by the prophet of God. 2 Kings 1: 2-4

- The Devil makes you to feel prayer is not working, or will work better if you see someone or visit a place and then lose your glory for so doing. Hebrews 3:12

7. Through Satanic Attacks and Contacts

- The Devil can capture your glory through spiritual attack which might occur in the realms of the spirit or physical.

- Some Satanic contacts have been used to take people's glory from them. These include sex, food, gifts, hair, nails, clothes and jewelleries.

- Once the glory is captured, purpose and destiny cannot be fulfilled and life can not be enjoyed in the fullest.

- Only through the power of the name of Jesus can a captured glory be liberated.

3. Glory Enjoyed

- When there is all indications that the glory is captured, great desire and determination with fervent prayer will bring about the liberation and restoration of the glory.

- Certain things are necessary for the restoration of the lost glory:

1. Ensure Genuine Salvation and True Righteousness.

- Only those that received Him, and living to please Him can enjoy the abundant life He came to give. John 1:12, John 10: 10

2. Release all Satanic Properties and Renounce all Satanic Covenants.

- Through sincerity, the Holy Spirit can guide you in all things to release and covenants to renounce.

3. Pray Fervently and Continually.

- The effectual fervent prayers of the righteous man cannot fail, but will have a great impact.

- Pray fervently and continually for the restoration of the lost glory. Confront the enemy and fight spiritual battles putting on the whole armour of God. Ephesians 6: 10 - 12

4. Come Under the Holy Spirit Anointing.

- The Bible recommends the prayer of Faith by the Church elders with anointing with oil, which symbolizes the Holy Spirit to destroy all yokes and afflictions, and when this is done, there shall be restoration of the lost glory. James 5:14-15

5. Cultivate the Virtue of Humility.

- Humility is a major criterion to be received in the presence of God and to be favoured by Him. James 4:6-7

6. Forgive Other People and Show Mercy to Them.

- One of the way to receive full pardon from God and to be shown mercy by Him, is to do likewise to others.

7. Develop a Heart of Gratitude and a Habit of Praise.

- Thanksgiving and praises open the court of God and give unlimited access and blessings to His people.

- Through your praises and thanksgiving, you can move the Hands of the Lord for the restoration of the lost glory.

Conclusion:

- There is a Divine Pronouncement over your life to rise and shine in all areas of your life.

- This is because your light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.

- The outcome of your rising and shining is to attract gentiles and great men for the glory of the name of the Lord.
