BIG IDEA: Be Holy, for I AM HOLY. When we experience the HOLY GOD, we see our shortcomings. It is only the HOLY LORD GOD that can make us to be HOLY. One Touch and we are made Whole, and Holy, and Ready for HIS Service. But it starts with us, being willing to surrender to HIM.
Scripture: Isaiah 6:1-9, Colossians 3:1-17, Titus 3:5-7, 1 Peter 1:13-16, Romans 12:1-2, 1 John 2:6, 1 Peter 3:15 2 Peter 3:14-15a, 2 Peter 3:18, Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:19-20, 1 Thessalonians 5:23
ISAIAH’S NAME MEANS “YHWH-THE LORD IS SALVATION”
THE BOOK OF ISAIAH IS ONE OF THE MOST QUOTED PASSAGES OF SCRIPTURE.
THE MOST PROPHETIC OF THE COMING AND 2ND COMING OF THE MESSIAH.
ISAIAH WAS TRANSFORMED BY AN ENCOUNTER WITH THE HOLY ONE.
ISAIAH - FROM UNHOLY TO HOLY, BY ONE TOUCH FROM THE MASTER.
AND FROM THAT TOUCH, WILLINGNESS TO DO WHATEVER THE HOLY ONE, THE LORD GOD COMMANDED HIM.
THE COMMAND…GO AND TELL THE PEOPLE.
A MESSAGE FOR EVERY BELIEVER IN CHRIST.
THE VISION – THE LORD ON THE THRONE, HIGH AND LIFTED UP
Isaiah 6:1-9a
1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple.
I’VE ONLY EVER SEEN THE TRAIN OF THE BRIDE COMING TO THE GROOM, SOME LONG, SOME NOT SO MUCH; BUT THE LORD’S TRAIN FILLED THE ROOM!
HOLINESS PROCLAIMED
2 Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.
3 And one cried to another and said:
“Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts;
The whole earth is full of His glory!”
THE THREEFOLD HOLY. PERFECT IN HOLINESS, FATHER, SON AND SPIRIT.
AND THE GLORY OF THIS HOLINESS FILLS THE EARTH.
4 And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke.
WHEN THE ISRAELITES WANDERED THE WILDERNESS AND SET UP THE TABERNACLE, GOD’S PRESENCE WAS KNOWN BY SMOKE FILLING THE HOLY PLACE.
RESPONSE TO HOLINESS OF THE LORD
5 So I said:
“Woe is me, for I am undone!
Because I am a man of unclean lips,
And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips;
For my eyes have seen the King,
The LORD of hosts.”
ISAIAH WAS “UNDONE”…EVERYTHING HE THOUGHT OF HIMSELF WAS GONE
UNTIL HE SURRENDERED HIMSELF TO THE PURE HOLY ONE.
WHEN WE COME INTO THE PRESENCE OF THE HOLY GOD, WE REALIZE AND SEE OURSELVES AS UNHOLY BY COMPARISON.
HOW WILL YOU FEEL WHEN YOU ENCOUNTER THE PURE, PERFECT, MOST HOLY ONE?
6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar.
SIN FINDS IT’S DESTRUCTION IN THE FLAMING FIRE
ONE TOUCH, AND WE ARE SET FREE!
7 And he touched my mouth with it, and said:
“Behold, this has touched your lips;
Your iniquity is taken away,
And your sin purged.”
I’M REMINDED OF THE WOMAN WHO REACHED OUT TO THE HEM OF CHRIST’S GARMENT, ONE TOUCH AND SHE WAS HEALED AND MADE WHOLE!
GOD HAS CREATED US FOR HIS PURPOSE, WE NEED TO BE OBEDIENT TO HIS CALLING, AND GO WHERE HE LEADS US.
8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying:
“Whom shall I send,
And who will go for Us?”
Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”
9 And He said, “Go, and tell this people:
AND HIS MESSAGE MUST REACH THE NATIONS.
SEEK AND SET YOUR MIND ON THINGS ABOVE – HOLY
SURRENDER OURSELVES FROM OUR WORLD VIEW TO BE HEAVENLY MINDED
Colossians 3:1-17
1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
BE DISCIPLINED TO PUT TO DEATH SIN IN YOUR LIFE
5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, 7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them.
GET RID OF THESE THINGS, BE CONSCIOUS OF OUR INNER AND OUTER BEING.
SURRENDER, BECOME “UNDONE”.
8 But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds,
THE CHANGE BEGINS WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF WHO FATHER GOD IS…
10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, 11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.
HE HAS CALLED US TO BE HOLY, THEREFORE WE ARE HOLY, AND SHOULD LIVE AS SUCH.
PUT ON…
12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
LET GOD’S PERFECT PEACE RULE YOUR HEART
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
LEARN AND TAKE IN THE WORD OF GOD, IN ALL IT’S WISDOM
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
LET YOUR ACTIONS ECHO CHRIST IN WORD OR ACTIONS, TO HIS GLORY
17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
THE CHANGE COMES BY HOLY SPIRIT IN US. WE BECOME UNDONE OF OURSELVES SO THAT HE CAN REGENERATE AND RENEW US FROM THE INSIDE OUT.
WASHING, CLEANSING, REGENERATION AND RENEWAL
Titus 3:5-7 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
CAPTURE YOUR THOUGHTS, DON’T SLIP INTO A STUPOR. PUT YOUR HOPE IN THE GRACE OF GOD, THROUGH JESUS CHRIST.
1 Peter 1:13-16
13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
OBEDIENT TO HIS WORD, NOT TO WORLDLY DESIRES
14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance;
BEING CHANGED, BEING SET APART, BEING MADE HOLY. ACT UPON THE HOLINESS IN YOU.
15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”
OUR BODY IS NOT OUR OWN, WE BELONG TO GOD, AND ARE TO PRESENT IT TO HIM IN SACRIFICE FROM THIS WORLD, AS SET APART AND HOLY UNTO HIM. IN DEED AND WORD, OUR WHOLE BODY SOUL AND SPIRIT ARE TO BE RENEWED, BEGINNING WITH OUR THOUGHTS, THEN OUR ACTIONS…
Romans 12:1-2 1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
IF WE SAY WE ARE A CHRISTIAN, A FOLLOWER OF CHRIST, THEN WE SHOULD ACT AS WE SPEAK.
1 John 2:6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
ALWAYS READY TO SHARE HOPE
1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;
BE DILIGENT TO BE FOUND BY HIM IN PEACE AND WITHOUT SPOT OR BLAME, GROWING IN HIS GRACE AND LEARNING MORE AND MORE OF OUR SAVIOR JESUS, TO HIM BELONGS THE GLORY FOREVER.
2 Peter 3:14-15a, 18
14 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; 15 and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation…
18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

Mark 16:15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
Matthew 28:19-20 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
BENEDICTION 1 Thessalonians 5:23
“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Amen
