All that the Father is and has, He has invested in the Name of Jesus. Every believer has the legal right, the legal redemptive right, to use the Name of Jesus. The moment the Name of Jesus becomes a part of your prayer life, your prayer life receives legal authority in Heaven. This puts prayer on a purely legal basis. In other words it's no longer answered because you pray, it's answered because it's connected to the Name.
The Name of Jesus empowers prayer to be answered. The Name of Jesus causes prayer to be answered.
John 14:13, "And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
"In My Name." Notice here, it's in His Name. Matthew 18:20, "For where two or three are gathered together in My Name, there am I in the midst of them." Agreement is impossible without His Name and His presence. Nothing is impossible, whatsoever, to those who agree in His Name.
John 14:12, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also and greater works than these shall he do. Because I go unto My Father. And whatsoever he shall ask in My Name." "Whatsoever, anything you ask, that will I do. That the Father may be glorified in the Son."
Now think for a second. What is greater than raising the dead? What is greater than commanding the
storm to be still? What is greater than walking on water? What is greater than healing the sick? What is greater than casting out demons? "Greater works than these shall he do." That has baffled me over the years.
What can be greater than what He did? What can be greater than casting out demons, healing the oppressed and the sick? There's one thing Jesus could not do. He could not stand before a crowd and say, "Once I was lost, but now I'm found." He could not say, "Once I was blind, now I can see." He could not be a testimony of the power of His Blood. Because the Blood never washed Him, it washed you.
He could not stand up before a crowd and say, "Once I was a sinner." So, what is greater than raising the dead? The new birth experience. When you give witness of the new birth experience, that is greater than any miracle performed by the Master! That's why I say greatest miracle of all is salvation.
Think about this, Jesus could not stand up and say to anyone, "Once I was a sinner, once I was lost, once I was blind!" Because, He was never lost, He was never blind, and surely, He was not a sinner. But you and I were! Think about the power He has given us to be a testimony! We can tell the world we've been washed by the Blood! Somebody say, "HALLELUJAH!" That is greater than any miracle, raising the dead, or even the calming the storm!
He's speaking then to individuals who understand that miracle. But now watch, "And whatsoever ye shall ask in My Name, that will I do. That the Father may be glorified in the Son." "If ye shall ask." "If ". Because He knows there'll be some who won't. "If you shall ask anything in My Name, I will do it."
"If you love Me." Again, He knows some will not. "Keep My Commandments. And I will pray to the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter. That He may abide with you forever." Notice how the Lord in the same breath, at the same time, talks about the new birth experience in verse 12? Answers to all prayer in verse 13 in His Name, and then goes right here to talk about the Holy Spirit? Showing us each of these revelations He just spoke. Every truth He gives is connected one to one to the other.
It's impossible to pray unless you're born again. It's impossible to pray effectively without His Name. Impossible to pray and see results without the Spirit. John 15:16 the Lord says, "Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you. And ordained you that ye should go and bring forth fruit. And that your fruit should remain that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My Name, He may give it to you."
Notice again that if there is no fruit in our life, our prayer is not effective. You can say in Jesus Name, yet the answer will not come because there is no fruit. Please notice this. "Ye have not chosen Me.", He said. "I have chosen you. And ordained you." That's His plan for you. "That ye should go and bring forth fruit and that your fruit should remain."
Not only are we to bring forth fruit, but our fruit should remain. We should not lose our effectiveness for Him. We are to be fruitful, and that fruit must remain in our lives so that whatsoever we shall ask, that He will do. In other words, without fruit in your life, your asking will not be effective. Your prayer life will not succeed.
Our fruit will produce a life of prayer and that life of prayer in His Name will bring results. John 16:23,
"And in that day ye shall ask Me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in My Name, He will give it you." Now why did He just say, in that day ye shall ask nothing? Look at verse 22, "And ye now therefore have sorrow. But I will see you again. And your heart shall rejoice and your joy no man taketh from you."
He's talking about the day when we the church will be with Him. They were sorrowful when He said to them, "I must go away.", He said. "So therefore you're sorrowful. But I will see you again." When? In the rapture. "And your heart shall rejoice and your joy no man taketh from you and in that day ye shall ask Me nothing." In other words, there will be no need when we're with Him to ask and receive.
Our season for asking is now. But then He goes back to what He had been saying to them all along.
That while they're on the earth, "Verily verily, I say unto you whatsoever ye shall ask today, the Father in My Name", gives us the Christian power of attorney. This is most amazing. "Whatsoever you shall ask the Father in My Name, He will give it to you. Think about Jesus giving us the unlimited use of His Name.
I must help you also understand something about the eastern culture. That sadly in the west, it's been lost somewhat. A man's name represents the man. When you say, "Go in my name.", you say, "Go in my place, in my authority, in my stead. All that I possess, you possess, All I own, you own. All I am, you have just become. Because my name is in you, on you, and with you."
In ancient times, your word was all you needed. Today, they draw all kinds of legal forms and contracts and this and this and that. So, men don't change their minds. Not in those days. Now here's God saying, "My Name", meaning, "My office, my position, my wealth and possessions. All that I am and represent belongs to you."
The church must grasp this incredible promise and the wealth in it. We on the earth represent Him and all He is. He in Heaven represents us and all we are. The exchange has taken place. On the cross, He took our sin, He took our office, He took our sorrow, He took our misery, and He destroyed the bondage that held us in sin. He destroyed everything that held us in bondage and then He breathed upon us and said, "Receive the Holy Ghost." The exchange was made.
And at that point he said to the church, "Go ye in My Name. Take all that I have given you. Take Me and My office and all that I am with you." That's why John and Peter said, "Silver and gold we have none. Such as we have." What did they have? Jesus. "Rise and walk."
They not only spoke the Name, they spoke the person. They released His presence through His Name.
They released His presence through His Name. I said they released His presence through His Name. The reason I'm repeating it is so that you can understand what I'm giving you. When you speak His Name, you speak the person. You release His presence. He comes on the scene when you say, "In the Name of
Jesus", you're not speaking words, you're speaking the Person. You release Him through your lips. "The Word is nigh thee even in thy mouth."
What word? Not "I confess I'm healed." I confess I'm this. I'm confessing you walk out still miserable.
You are confessing the Lord Christ. And when He is present, His Word is present. And when He is present, His word is effective. And look, there's nothing wrong with positive, uplifting confession.
But, if it's empty of the spirit, it will make you feel good, but will have no results. That will carry you, but when the Holy Ghost is present, that word carries the power of that word. I am not against positive confession. I think it's important to be positive. But do not ever think the Word alone will carry you. In fact, it's quite simple. If you only have the Word, you'll dry up. If you only have the Spirit, you'll blow up!
If you have both, you'll grow up. I don't want to dry up or blow up, I want to grow up.
How many of you want to grow up? Then you must have both. So, say with me, if you only have the Word, you will what? Dry up. If you only have the Spirit, you'll what? Blow up. If you have both you will what? Grow up. Never forget both.
So, if you and I ask, knowing your rights legally, ask as the presence of God is on you. Ask, because the Spirit of God is present. It'd be impossible for you to leave without nothing or with nothing. It'll be impossible for you to walk out having not received from Heaven. Impossible. God answers prayer, but He only answers prayer when you are walking in truth. If you're not walking in truth, there'll be no answers.
Now you need to know, all that the Father is and has, has been invested in the Name of Jesus. Thank You, Lord, for this. All that the Father is and has, He has invested in the Name, Jesus. You and I can't even comprehend that. All that the Father is. He's bigger, much bigger, much bigger, much, much, much, much bigger than your mind will ever understand. All that He is, is in that Name. When you say, "Jesus", you bring the fullness of God on the scene! Now that's powerful!
Say it, "When I say, Jesus, the fullness of God comes on the scene!" And my friend, with the fullness of God, what devil can be near? What sickness can remain? What bondage can stay? You see what belongs to you? All that He is, all that He has, has been invested in One Name. I tell you, I feel the anointing mentioning His Name. Lift your hands and thank Him for His Name. "Whatsoever ye ask in My Name", the Lord said. "You will receive." Think about it. Everything you ask for in the Name of Jesus. Whatsoever things you ask for in His Name, you'll receive.
God Almighty has invested all that He is into the Name, Jesus. Oh, the privilege we have as believers to
come to the throne room and receive in His Mighty Name. Do you understand the power? Do you realize what belongs to you and I? All that God is, the Eternal God, the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. All His power is ours in the name of Jesus. This is why I'm bringing you this teaching. Because, I want you to understand what belongs to you as a believer. What is yours today and forever as a believer.
All that God is and has is in the precious Name of His Son. Just speaking His Name brings all that God is and has onto whatever situation you're going through. Imagine that. Moses only saw the back of God. And even then, God covered him with His hand so he would not be consumed by God's Glory. And yet, his face still shone with that very Glory. Imagine what the fullness of God is like when you speak the Name of Jesus over your troubles and situations? Wow!
This is why people must be careful how they use the Name of Jesus. If speaking the Name brings the fullness of God on the scene, what happens when people speak that Name in vain? I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want the fullness of God showing up after using the Lord's Name in vain! That's why I would never, never take the Name of Jesus in vain. I don't want the fullness of God showing up and He be angry because I took His Son's Name in vain. No, thank you! But imagine what must happen to people who do?
The Lord's Name is not a cuss word and all who use it as such will answer to God for that! Make no mistake about it! But, when you cry out to Jesus out of faith, love and sincerity, imagine when the fullness of God shows up where you are? Imagine what He will do for you all because you honored His Son's Name?
No cancer, no sickness, no disease, no demon, and no problem will remain after that. You will feel a peace and a love like never before. You will see His Glory in a whole new light. God will supernaturally move on your behalf to answer prayer and bring deliverance to your life! Somebody give God praise for His Name today!!!
